The Black Necromancer

Chapter 529: Killing The Gods

Bam!

The sounds of fists clashing against flesh and bones resounded through the emptiness of the Void. Each clash carried the weight of Laws and Domains, giving them a mystical property that turned each simply fist into a multifaceted attack.

Leon grunted as Darius’ burning fist slammed into his chest, leaving a searing pain behind. His own fist rocketed forward and clashed against Darius’ face, causing the latter’s bones to clatter.

As Leon was preparing to launch another fist, his senses suddenly screamed at him and he pulled his head back, causing a sharp blade made of pure will to slide past his face. Just the aura around it caused his skin to cut open in multiple places.

But Leon’s face was not one of shock, but of glee.

Crack!

Another Leon appeared as a tooth flew out of Leon’s mouth, effectively grabbing hold of the arm that had appeared out of nowhere and pulling Dario out of his hiding place.

Crack!

The arm was broken and ripped off as both Leon and his clone used that short moment to launch attacks on Dario.

Fear overcame the man as he realized that he had fallen for Leon’s trap. Dario’s entire essence had been poured into his assassination techniques. As a result, his other aspects were heavily lacking, but that had never been a problem as his moves had always been guaranteed hits. However, now that he had missed against Leon, he was paying the price dearly.

“Dario!” It took a moment for Darius to realize what was happening and he instantly came between Dario and Leon. however, it was already too late.

Darius ripped Dario away from Leon, but the man was nothing more than a torso with no limbs. Darius was infuriated, but also frightened by how quickly Leon had put Dario out of commission. It was too unreasonable! Dario was a Major God as well, so no matter how much effort Leon put in, he should have not been able to defeat Dario so quickly! “I will make you pay for this!” Darius roared, but before he could register Leon’s response, his head was snapping upwards as it was delivered a firm blow. Several more blows landed all over his body, sending him flying in different directions, only to be blown back into another punch.

Darius’ senses picked up the presence of five of Leon’s clones having surrounded him. Then he realized that the bodies of several of the Minor Gods were floating listlessly in the Void. As for the other clones they had gone to gang up on Sevagoth while the rest came to him.

‘What? How?’ Darius covered his vital points as he tried to understand how they had lost so badly. No matter what, this should have ended in a victory for their side! He could not comprehend how Leon had turned the tables on him and wiped out his own side instead!

“You seem surprised.” Leon’s voice shook Darius out of his daze. The man made of light glared angrily at Leon’s main body as he came closer. But he could not move. Instead of punching and beating him, the clones had moved on to restraining his body, binding his limbs and preventing him from moving.

From anger, a fear started to rise from within Darius. A fear that Leon sensed and welcomed.

‘Is this the power of someone who can make the Paragon of Undeath go to such lengths?’

The air of despair around Darius began to grow thicker as his mind devolved into a mess of thoughts and doubts. He fell so deep into his thoughts that he did not even known when his body began to turn into wisps of black dust that were drawn to Leon, absorbed by his Divine Spark. The same thing was happening to the bodies of all the other fallen Gods that littered the battlefield.

Lines of dark purple energy began to light up all over Leon’s body, running from the tips of his fingers to his glowing eyes. A chaotic power rose around him, feeding off his own Divine Power and threatening to overwhelm him.

But at the same time, a higher power descended and laid rest to that chaotic power, allowing Leon to absorb all of these energies without any risks.

“You are much more powerful than my estimations, Leon Cromwell.” The Nexus Being appeared a short distance from Leon and said.

“It is only natural. I can let go of some restraints with the deal we made. You watch my back and smoothen things out for me, and I’ll take care of what I need to before I face the Paragon of Undeath.” Leon responded.

“And that last part of our deal…”

“We can settle that later. After all, if I fail, then it becomes void.” Leon did not allow the Nexus Being to finish.

“You are right. You may leave my Domain whenever you see fit. I wish you good luck, Leon.” The Nexus Being vanished with those words.

“Luck? Who needs lady luck when I’ve got a whole universe behind me?” Leon smiled and closed his eyes to continue absorbing the remaining energies.

Faya sighed as she held up a single flower. The flower was not normal and the leaves bent to make a shape, as if it was a living being. Indeed, it was a living being. It was one of the few living beings that had survived in Faya’s Divine Kingdom after the invaders had wrecked it.

Whoosh!

Faya was started when she felt the presence of a powerful person suddenly appear behind her. She spun around, holding the flower to her chest, but was relived when she saw that it was only Leon.

“Leon? What about the enemy Gods? Where are they?” Faya hurriedly asked, looking away. She thought that Leon had only diverted them before sneaking away and back to her.

“They are all dead and gone.” Leon smiled at her and looked around.

“They are… dead?”
