The Black Necromancer

Chapter 511 Rainer

Chapter 511 Rainer

“Oris, Seth, and… you.” Kaladin looked at the third one that had ascended alongside Oris and Seth. The former two were not strangers to him, as they had fought together many times. However, the third was a bit of a stranger. He had suddenly become Leon’s servant, but that was already toward the end of the war with the Demons, and he had also not participated in the war with the Elves, so Kaladin had not seen much of him.

This individual was none other than the leader of the Nameless Order!

Kaladin was a bit confused. He had found out quite a bit about the Nameless Order from other sources. One thing that stood out was the fact that all the members of the Nameless Order had been stuck at Peak A rank for centuries!

Kaladin naturally assumed that the members of this Order had reached the limits of their potential and could no longer progress. But he did not care much about it. After all, he knew not everyone could ascend to the level that his Master had reached. If after centuries, one had made no progress, then the chances of having a breakthrough were basically non-existent.

However, against all odds, here he was, a newly ascended God.

“What is your name?” Kaladin asked. He had never bothered before.

“The Master named me Rainer.” The once nameless being clad in pitch black armor said.

“Alright, welcome, Rainer, all of you. I am sure you already know of the situation at hand. We need you all to get stronger as quickly as possible. That is why we will be going hunting for a while so you can get used to your new abilities and grow stronger and more proficient with them.” Kaladin gave a quick rundown of his plans.

“Will you be going alone?” Nero asked Kaladin.

“Yes, I will supervise them. The two of you can remain here and handle things in my absence.” Kaladin nodded at Nero and Grokus.

“Don’t worry, you leave matters in good hands.” Grokus nodded his head with a gruff voice.

After that, Kaladin used his power to teleport himself and the three newly ascended Gods out of the God Kingdom and to a floating island some distance away.

All of the floating islands that had originally been around Leon’s God Kingdom at the start had all been integrated into the God Kingdom, so they had to go much further than Leon had to back then.

Eventually, the four of them came to a stop at the edge of a floating island. The island was relatively large, but not up to the size of the island Leon had found the young Ripple Deer on back then.

“This island contains enough celestial creatures with varying strengths for you to exercise your powers and gain more experience in fighting at this level. I will not interfere unless it is urgent. Have fun.” Kaladin vanished with a flash of lightning, leaving the three summons to themselves.

“Let’s split up. We can do more that way.” Oris suggested.

“Fine by me.” Seth nodded his head.

“Me too.” Rainer also agreed.

With that, the three of them split up, each of them going in a different direction. They would begin their hunt for the native creatures immediately.

A distance away from the island, Kaladin floated in the air, watching. His eye sockets flashed with tendrils of lightning as he cast his gaze on the island by spreading tiny tendrils of lightning that contained his Divine Power all over the island. He could not watch everything clearly, but it was no problem to focus his attention on the three newly ascended Gods without strain.

However, Kaladin was almost entirely focused on Rainer. He had heard of all the legends of the Nameless Order and how they were a force to be reckoned with. However, he had not seen their true power before. Now, he was eager to see what Rainer, their leader, was made of.

Rainer calmly teleported across vast swathes of land until he came upon a group of strange creatures. They were giant monster plants with large mouths full of rows of teeth. They let out strange grunting sounds when they saw Rainer and their mouths twisted into a sick grin.

“You look like abominations.” Rainer said, his voice cold. He held out his hands and a longsword appeared in each of his hands. The swords glowed with a black light, pulsating and glowing ever so slightly. A dangerous aura emanated from the swords that made the grins of the plant monsters grow stiff.

Rainer had been created as the ultimate killing machine. Each one of his strikes was enough to seriously threaten the life of an opponent at the same level as himself. One could consider his existence to be unreasonable! Not only was his attack ability insanely high, but his defenses were also incredible!

Rainer raised one sword up and the black light turned ever darker. The light around him seemed to be devoured by the darkness on his sword, shrouding him in a haze of darkness that made it difficult for any of the plant monsters to see him. Not even their divine senses could peer through that darkness.

“Be gone.” Rainer’s voice was barely a whisper as he swung his sword. A black arc of energy was released, rapidly heading in the direction of the plant monsters in a horizontal sweep. The plant monsters were frozen with fear and could not even raise any defenses to protect their lives.

Swoosh!

Flop!

With the sound of a blade slicing through flesh, the black slash sliced through the soft tissue that made up the bodies of the plant monsters, causing their upper halves to flop down to the ground. Their bodies had grown stiff and a black energy sapped all the vitality from their bodies before feeding that vitality back to Rainer.

With one move, the newly ascended Rainer had ended the lives of over half a dozen celestial creatures!
