Chapter 486 The Primordial Plane Of Valeant
Chapter 486 The Primordial Plane Of Valeant
“Leon, welcome.”
When Leon arrived within the main base where the other important Major Gods had gathered, he was immediately greeted and welcomed by them. Even though he was still a Minor God, the role he would play in this war would be outsized!
When Leon looked around, he spotted more Gods than he had expected. He had thought that only a portion of the Gods of Datar would come out to fight against the vanguard of the Army of Destruction.
“Leon, over here. Let us brief you on the latest news.” Michael waved Leon over to where he stood. Leon went over to stand beside Michael in the large room where the Gods were gathered.
“What’s wrong? I wasn’t expecting so many Gods here.” Leon voiced his thoughts upon reaching Michael’s side.
“Indeed. But things have gone out of expectations.” Michael sighed and shook his head. He then went on to explain in detail. “The Army of Destruction’s vanguard force suddenly stopped and did not attack us. Instead, they sent a message to tell us that the battle between Gods will not take place within Datar’s Celestial Realm. Instead, it will be held on a Primordial Plane.”
“A Primordial Plane?” Leon asked with confusion.
“Yes.”
Michael affirmed and raised his hands, creating a small projection between them. “In the vast universe, there are multiple forms in which a new world can be born. First, a low tier world, one with incredibly scarce amounts of mana, take your former home, Earth, for example.” The Fate God explained. “A middle tiered world is the next, followed by a high tiered world. Datar is currently stuck between the bounds of a Mid and High tiered world. It has been that way for a few thousand years now, thanks to the selfishness of the Old Gods who did not want mortals to ascend to Godhood.”
“Last, but not least, is a Primordial Plane. This is a world that is not yet fully formed. It is full of powerful anomalies that can threaten even Major Gods. It is in such a place that we will fight with the Army of Destruction.” Michael wrapped up his explanation.
“…” Leon remained silent for a moment after hearing the explanation. “I guess we can only play along. We will fight them either way. But now, I’m curious as to what will happen to Datar.” He voiced his thoughts.
“The mortal beings in the Army of Destruction will go ahead to launch their attack on Datar as usual. Only the Gods and celestial creatures of both sides will fight on the Primordial Plane.” Michael elaborated. Leon listened to all this with rapt attention and only nodded at the end.
“Now that you are here, it is time for us to head to the Primordial World. But I would advise you to leave some forces behind to watch over the realm.”
“I know. I already did that.” Leon replied.
After that, the two spoke a bit more before some other Gods arrived and exchanged a few words with Leon. He also met with Dyson and the others, as well as a couple of other Gods that had only recently just ascended from the Ace Candidates.
After some time, a group of the strongest Major Gods appeared before everyone. Naturally, Dardan, Tiphone and Fazir were among them.
“Gods of Datar, today, we are all gathered here to perform our duty to protect out home in earnest. We knew that the trials would come, and we were ready to face them. I am glad to see that we are all standing up to face the trials before us.” One of the Gods that Leon had not met before said, stepping forward.
He was one of the Dragon Gods of Datar, Shorn. Beside him were two other Dragon Gods, Corrifax and Hadrion. His face was covered in smatterings of dark golden scales that gave him a ferocious but regal look.
The fact that he was taking the lead this time hinted at the fact that he was probably one of the strongest Gods that Datar had on hand at the moment. Not even Tiphone could match up to him in sheer power and strength, Leon supposed.
“In a short time, we will be leaving Datar to head to the Primordial Plane of Valeant. There, the battle that will ascertain our futures will be fought. Do not be afraid. If we win, then anyone who falls shall be reborn and rewarded afterwards. If we lose, then we lose.” Shorn’s eyes flashed with a red light.
There was a reason why many Gods did not even think of trying to run away from Datar in the face of this crisis. Aside from a select few Major Gods and True Gods, other Gods were tethered to their home worlds. They could leave for a short time but could not spend extended periods of time away from it.
The eyes of many Gods and other celestial creatures burned with fervor. They knew that many of them would fall, but they were ready to face what was ahead of them.
Leon could feel the heat in the air that rose with Shorn’s words. The Dragon God was thirsty for the blood of his enemies, and he channeled that power into his words, causing it to also affect his audience.
Shorn’s speech was not long at all. When he was done, he and the other Major Gods around him came together and held up a strange item, then began pouring their Divine Power into the artifact. The artifact would lead to the Primordial Plane of Valeant where the battle that would determine the future of Datar would be fought.
The item projected a stream of white light that shot into the distance before forming a ten meter tall and five meter wide portal in the distance.
“Step forward, Valeant lays on the other side of this portal. When we go there, we will not return until we have won or lost.” Shorn raised a hand and pointed to the portal as he spoke. Already, several Major Gods took the first step and made their way through the portal. Their actions prompted the others to do the same.
