Chapter 483 Leaving The Trial Grounds
Chapter 483 Leaving The Trial Grounds
“We were Dragons once before, but we ran afoul of His Excellency, Garen, and he punished us and enslaved us, turning us into mere shadows of our past selves. He placed a powerful spell on us that changed our forms and then left us to guard this trial ground for him. Now that he had released us, we have regained out true forms.” Jonah explained. “Now, let us leave this place.”
In the next moment, the space around them twisted and they reappeared on the cliffside that overlooked the bottomless hole, only that the hole was no longer bottomless and it was possible to see the bottom from here.
“I sense the approach of multiple Dragons.” Beiger came closer to Johan and said. Johan nodded and turned to speak with the other three while Mica and Elena were left to their devices.
Mica stared at the four Dragons, admiring their prestigious figures. With their binds unlocked, they had returned to full strength and each one of them was a Peak A rank, with Johan already on the path to increasing his comprehension of a Law!
This made Mica have greater appreciation of Garen’s power.
Soon, the sounds of powerful wings flapping could be heard and several Dragon figures appeared in the distance. At the head of the group was none other than Drukali himself. The gigantic Dragon King carried himself with an aura of majesty as he moved.
Before long, the entourage landed some distance from Mica and the others, sizing up these new Dragons that had appeared from nowhere.
“Greetings, powerful Dragons. I do not believe we know of each other.” Drukali said calmly, addressing the four powerful Dragons that had appeared here out of nowhere.
“Ah, you must be the Dragon King of this generation. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Jonah examined Drukali for a moment before bowing his head slightly in greeting. His brothers also did the same. “I am Jonah, servant of His Excellency, Garen, the Dragon God of Space and Time.”
“The Dragon God of Space and Time?!” Drukali was caught off guard and the pitch of his voice rose at an odd level, but no one judged him for it because they were all shocked as well.
“Yes.” Jonah nodded calmly, although he was inwardly laughing at the expression of the Dragon King of the latest generation of Dragons.
Drukali took a moment to digest this information before taking another good look at the four Peak A rank Dragons. Jonah had silvery blue scales and four large and twisting horns that crowned his head. White had white scales and two horns that pointed backwards, lining the back of his head. Pangu’s scales was a dark green shade and had no horns but his back was covered in sharp spikes that looked as if they would injure anyone that got close. As for Beiger, he had only a single horn on his head and deep, reflective purple scales.
“How may I address the rest of you?” Drukali asked and the three others introduced themselves.
“We were the guardians of the trial that laid in the bottomless pit that used to be here. Now, we are done. Young Mica has passed the trial.” Jonah said.
“You did?” Drukali turned to Mica and Elena.
“Yes.” Mica simply nodded as he lowered himself for Elena to climb onto his back.
“That is great! Come back with us, we must celebrate.” Drukali exclaimed, then he turned to the four Peak A rank Dragons. “Please, return with us.” He told them.
“Of course.” Jonah shared a look with his brothers before nodding in agreement. It would be nice for them to do something other than what they had done for the past millennia.
Together, the Dragons and single human took to the skies and quickly left behind the trial grounds.
.
.
“Wow! This is amazing!” Elena gasped as she fawned over the piece of meat that she had just put in her mouth. An explosion of flavors that were new and exciting to her dominated her tastebuds.
“I’m already used to it, but it does indeed taste much better than other dishes I’ve had before.” Mica nodded his head. He was currently in his human form, which was in the form of a young boy who looked to be no older than ten years old in human years. Although he had reached the size of a full grown adult, he was in reality, just under two years old, and his human form somewhat made up for the disparity.
As the two of them talked and ate, someone walked over to them. It was Jonah.
“Greetings, Child of Prophecy.” Jonah smiled as he stopped a short distance away from the two of them.
Mica sighed before returning the greeting. “Hello, Johan. I would prefer it if you did not call me that.” He said with a tight smile. The title truly irritated him as it drew too much attention to him and he did not like that.
“Ah, does it bother you? I am sorry. I honestly have not heard anyone refer to you as anything but that.” Johan smiled.
“My name is Mica. I was named by Elena here.” He said and gestured to Elena. “I would prefer it if everyone called me that instead of this ‘Child of Prophecy’ thing, but they just refuse to listen.” Mica sighed tiredly.
“Oh?” Johan looked at Elena with a newfound curiosity. “Lady Elena was the one who named you?” He asked.
“Yes. You see…” Mica went on to tell Johan the story of how he had been found as an egg during Divinity’s Bout, and how Elena had cared for and nurtured him as he grew. He told him about the deal with the Dragon Clans and Leon, also going over a brief explanation of who Leon was.
Upon explaining who Leon was, Jonah fell into a thoughtful daze. He was intrigued by Leon and resolved to find out more about him in his spare time.
When Mica had finished giving Jonah a brief rundown of his history and the things that led up to that point, Jonah nodded appreciatively.
“I see. Well, it is a pleasure to meet you in a more proper setting, Mica.” He held out a hand with a friendly smile.
