The Black Necromancer

Chapter 426 War Of Gods (2)

Chapter 426 War Of Gods (2)

A thick tail that was tipped by a jagged spike waved menacingly behind the Lord of Chaos.

“Lord of Chaos, Alastor, we have decided that it is time for us to quash the menace known as the Chaos Faction once and for all!” Dardan’s voice was loud and imposing as he held his arms out to his sides. Green flames danced across his fists and a blazing trail of green flames traveled from the top of his head down to the tip of his tail.

“And since when do you have the power to pass such a decree?! I will show you what it means to mess with the most powerful God in this realm!” Alastor’s eyes blazed with fury and a black aura manifested around him. It looked like liquid black fire swam around him and the space around him destabilized even further as the Laws that held together the fabric of the Celestial Realm tethered on the brink of destruction.

Alastor had long since been on the brink of breaking through to True God level, but he had never been able to surpass that invisible barrier. He lacked the insight on how to get there. As such, he was one of the most powerful Major Gods that was anchored to Datar at the moment.

“Since when did the title of the most powerful God get passed on to you?” A deep and ancient voice boomed and Tiphone spread his tentacles. As he spread open, a heavy feeling of dread spread in the hearts of everyone present. All those in the immediate vicinity instantly moved some distance away.

Not even a moment later, an invisible pulse of power passed from Tiphone and Alastor. The powerful Chaos God hastily dodged and moved away from his previous position just as the space in that spot collapsed on itself, leading out into a turbulent spatial tunnel that would lead to a random area of the Void.

Even as a powerful Major God, Alastor could not risk getting expelled into the endless depths of the Void. If he was unlucky, then he might die. At the very best, it would take centuries for him to return, and that was a positive estimate of things.

Alastor looked at the confident Tiphone with a critical gaze.

“Two can play at that game!” He declared and reached out with his left hand. He clenched his hand tightly and it was as if a giant hand had grabbed the entire space around Tiphone and was squeezing down tightly. Space cracked and shattered with every passing moment.

Crack!

A space fault was formed as the space collapsed in that area, consuming Tiphone’s body. However, before Alastor could rejoice, he had to dodge as a giant beam of white light was shot at him. He turned in the direction it came from and saw Tiphone flying with his single eye shining brightly with white light.

Whoosh!

VOM!

With the sound of air parting, several more beams of white light were shot at Alastor, forcing him to dodge while trying to close the distance between the two of them.

The Lord of Chaos reached behind himself and pulled off his tail. Within his grasp, the tail began to morph until it turned into a black spear with a dragon curled around the shaft. Just below the blade of the spear, the mouth of the dragon opened up, making it look like the blade came from the Dragon’s mouth.

This was the Dragon Breath Spear. It was a weapon that had been carved out of a celestial beast, one of the many beasts that roam the Celestial Realm. It had strength comparable to a Major God and Alastor had been able to subdue and kill it before reforging its parts to make various equipment. 𝒪𝑣xt.𝗇t

As the spear appeared, a black set of armor that looked to have been made out of scales appeared and covered his body. The shoulder pauldrons and the helmet had the image of a dragon with an open maw carved onto them, making him look even more ferocious. The armor was known as the Black Dragon Back.

“This shall be your last battle, Tiphone!” Alastor declared before lunging forward while dodging the lancing beams of light that Tiphone kept on sending. “DIE!!!” He thrust the spear forward and a vortex of black fire bloomed from the tip, twisting and rushing at Tiphone with the image of a dragon.

“I see your end, Alastor!” Tiphone retorted and all his tentacles spread out. White, mystic light shone at their tips before shooting forward, along with a continuous ray of white light from his eye. The beams of light all twisted together to form a rotating beam of light that crashed against the black flame dragon.

The two projections of power clashed and fought for dominance but the two of them were equally matched, with none being able to prevail over the other.

But suddenly, a beam of purple light struck the white light and sank into it, imbuing into it a kind of primal and mystic force.

Fazir appeared behind Tiphone with a neutral expression.

“I will support you. This is not a one on one.” He told the arrogant Major God and used his power of Fate to support Tiphone. Instantly, a difference could be seen. Tiphone’s beam of mystic white light gained a slight edge as it drilled into the weak spots of the black dragon, gradually eroding it.

“No!” Alastor saw that he was losing and poured even more power into it. That was his strongest single target attack, and even then, it was so powerful that it could be considered a pseudo-area-of-effect attack.

Whoosh.

A slight breeze fluttered in Alastor’s ear and he felt the presence of another familiar and powerful being appear not far from him. A man draped in a dark hood appeared. Looking at him made one feel like their consciousness was being thrust into a pool of eternal darkness.

“Fret not, Alastor. I have come to lend my aid.” The God of Darkness, Erebus, spoke as he made himself known. His voice was deep and ruddy, sounding like he was speaking from beneath a pool of mud.

“I don’t need your help, Erebus! LEAVE!!!” Alastor roared, his power soaring. He felt it would be a stain for himself, the Lord of Chaos to receive assistance from another when he was in need. He should solve all his problems with his own hands.

“BREAK FOR ME!!!” He ordered and the Land of Chaos churned in response to his command. As the Lord of Chaos, his title was not for nothing. He had learnt to harness the Law of Chaos, no matter how little, and use it to make anything adhere to Chaos.

“Not so fast!” Another beam of light shot at Alastor before he could activate his next strike, forcing him to cut his attention. But before it could reach him, Erebus teleported between the two and blocked it by forming a portal of darkness that redirected the strike.

A male that radiated pure light was floating in the sky. He was the God of Light, Solis. He had a deep seated enmity with the God of Darkness, Erebus, and the moment Erebus had appeared, he could no longer contain himself.

Now, five Major Gods were embroiled in their conflicts. They carried were the first to make their moves, but not the last. In other parts of the area around the destroyed Castle of Chaos, several other Gods also engaged in battle.

Michael stood against Atrox, the God of Tyranny. The Chaos God’s eyes burned with anger and vengeance as he imagined getting back at Michael for the loss his incarnation had suffered at the hands of Michael’s.

“I will kill you and use your remains to decorate my castle!” Atrox’s gigantic form that stood at ten meters in height said, holding a giant hammer in his hand. A blood red aura hung around the head of the hammer, and a menacing aura surrounded Atrox.

Michael simply smirked because Atrox had no idea what was in store for him after he lost this battle. When his Divine Spark was seized and given to Leon, it was extremely unlikely that Atrox would be revived. Instead, a new God of Tyranny would be born and would have to struggle at the level of a weak Minor God for a long time.

For a God who had fallen in battle to be revived, they would need the support of a large amount of Faith energy. That energy would feed and energize their Divine Spark and eventually, they would be revived with the Divine Spark acting as the center and core.

However, if the Divine Spark happened to be destroyed or fell into the hands of the enemy, then all hope was lost. They could kiss their revival goodbye.

All Gods had a failsafe that they could rely on if they fell in battle, but Michael and Fazir had already fashioned a means to capture Atrox’s Divine Spark.
