The Black Necromancer

Chapter 366 [Bonus ]A Double Life

A few hours before the start of the battle, Elena arrived at Fort White through a teleportation formation. She had a pout on her face as she rode on Mica’s back through the streets and all the way to Leon’s mansion.

“The Master is out for war, if that is the reason you are here.” From a smaller building at the side of the main building of Leon’s mansion, Rakon emerged, his bearing as noble and regal as before. He had a small, friendly smile on his face as he spoke.

“He went out?” Elena repeated with a frown on her face.

“He did leave something, though.” Rakon reached into a pocket and pulled out a fist sized crystal. The crystal shimmered with different lights and Elena’s eyes brightened. It was the Class Change Crystal!

But then her smile fell. Had Leon predicted that she would come back because of this? That damn man!

Elena scoffed and turned her face away to hide her embarrassment. Her hair conveniently hid her reddened cheeks from view.

“Are you going to take it or not?” Rakon asked with a knowing smile.

“I’ll take it!” Elena turned and took the crystal from Rakon’s hand.

“A room has been prepared for you to undergo your Class Change in peace. Please, follow me.” Rakon said and turned to walk into the mansion. Elena quickly put aside her excitement and followed after him. It was time to take the next step in her journey to power!

The Demon King sat down on his throne. His body was stiff and had no outward signs of life. Not even his aura stirred within his body. By all means, this should have been enough sign that he was dead.

Yet, none of the servants that served him dared to do anything that would seem like an offense in the powerful being’s eyes.

The reason why was quite simple. The Demon King was not dead, but his soul was not in his body!

Right now, the soul of this powerful being was roaming through another part of the world under the guise of an ordinary person. Well, ordinary when compared to his actual standing and status.

The Demon King went by the name Andrew Aurelius, and he was a powerful human adventurer.

“Relly, you ready?” A young lady with black hair and bright blue eyes asked as she tied up the last bad on the top of the carriage their group traveled in. Her name was Margaret.

“Yup. Let’s get this show on the road.” Andrew replied and got up from the rock that he had been sitting on as he admired the beautiful waterfall that unraveled before him. He sighed and dusted off his trousers before walking over to the carriage that their group of three traveled in.

“So I’ll take the reigns today?” The third member of their group said as he stepped out of the carriage. He was a tall Elf with brown hair, green eyes and a lean, athletic build. His name was Shane.

“Mhm.” Margaret hummed as she climbed into the carriage after Andrew. Shane shook his head with a laugh as he climbed the seat in front. He held his arms forward, but there were no reigns to take. There was also no horse to pull the carriage forward.

A silver glow of mana was emanated from Shane’s fingers as he used magic to take control of the carriage. It was a rare thing in the world of Datar, and displayed the slow, but constant forward movement of technology in the world.

The mana emitted from his calloused hands smoothly started up the right mechanisms in the carriage and started moving forward.

“Next destination, the capital of the Elven Empire, Nylenor itself!” Margaret cheered as the carriage picked up speed.

The trio were on the Elven Continent, Rivera. They were on a mission. A mission that Andrew was so invested in that he had personally gone on through his alter ego.

The reason why he went through all this trouble was to find someone. The woman that had stolen his heart decades ago. The Elf that had given him his most treasured prize, and then disappeared.

Not even the war between the Demon Continent and the Central Continent was more important than this search as far as Andrew was concerned. In fact, if the Demons lost and got invaded instead, he did not care too much. Everything else would take a backseat when it came to chasing after the love of his life.

Andrew’s eyes narrowed as he thought of the war that was going on at the moment. His thoughts also drifted to the mission he had given some of his servants. To find the Nameless Order.

“I’ll take a nap.” He said to Margaret and climbed to the back of the carriage. The carriage was very large and had several compartments. There were beds for all three of them. Large enough for comfort, but small enough for convenience. It was just the right mix for them to be satisfied.

“Alright, I’ll wake you up when we stop.” Margaret nodded and picked up a book to busy herself with.

Andrew laid on his bed and closed his eyes without any delay. His mind shut down in this human body, but awoke in a much more powerful body.

Whoosh!

A terrible aura swept the massive throne room of the Demon King as he opened his eyes.

“Your Excellency, Hellbourne!” The Demon servants spread through the room immediately went down on their knees.

Hellbourne looked around with dark eyes. “Has Naiki returned?” He asked. Naiki was the demonic beast that he had sent to find the Nameless Order’s traces.π”¬π•πžxt.πžΈπ‘š

“Not yet, my liege.” One of the servants at the foot of his throne answered.

Hellbourne frowned, the red skin on his forehead bunching up with the expression. He held up a clawed hand and made a grabbing gesture. A red, ethereal flame lit up in his grasp. It burned for a few moments before the image of the four legged demonic beast came into view.

“Naiki! What are you doing?!” Hellbourne’s voice was rough and commanding as he spoke.

“A-ah! Your Excellency!” Naiki was frightened and paused what he was doing. He had been walking through a dark tunnel. “I have found a trace of the Order! I am not sure, but it is my best lead!” He quickly reported.

“Then be quick! I want you back here in two days!” Hellbourne ordered and clenched his hand, extinguishing the ethereal flame.
