The Black Necromancer

Chapter 343 Priceless Items

Leon looked straight at Drukali, making the Dragon Overlord a bit uncomfortable. He did not like how Leon’s eyeless eye sockets that were lit up by the flames in his skull focused on him. He could feel Leon’s gaze, but could not see the eyes that stared at him. It was unnerving.

Leon realized the other party’s apprehension and finally spoke.

“The reason why that will be difficult is because the dragon does not serve me. I cannot order him to follow you. And besides that, it would be stupid for me to hand over a pure blooded dragon with high potential.” Leon elaborated.

“As I said before, you will be duly compensated. Yourself and whoever the dragon serves. We just want him. That is all. Not only will you gain the Dragon Clans as a reliable ally, but you will also earn a great number of riches. Enough to sway even empires.” Drukali insisted.𝑢𝔳xt.π‘ͺπ‘œπ”ͺ

Leon chuckled when he heard that making Drukali paused. The dragons around felt irritated, as they thought that Leon was laughing at their leader.

“Don’t misunderstand. The support of the Dragon Clans is an great thing. The thing I find funny is the form of resources that you could give me. Who is to say that I do not already have them?” Leon asked. If it was in the form of resources or certain ores or magical items, he already had an abundance of those. Not only did he have the immense gains he had gotten from Divinity’s Bout, but he also had the resources of multiple dungeons, including A rank ones!

He had not taken the time to explore the Labyrinth of Madness, but he already had a few summons scoping it out for him. He had not moved its location from the Demon Continent yet, and would only do so after the war had come to an end, so as to not alert the Demons. Already, aside from the attributed mana crystals, Leon’s summons had discovered an abundance of unique herbs and resources that were of immense value and could only be found on the Demon Continent, so they were of high value in the other continents. Not only could he sell them, but the various professionals in his territory could also make use of them!

Drukali saw that Leon was being difficult and sighed. He nodded to Nezario at his side who quickly handed over a box that was made out of a strange translucent crystal. He handed it over carefully to Drukali who held it almost reverently.

When Leon looked closer at the box, he noticed that it seemed to have been made from tiny scales of some sort. Drukali opened the crystal box to reveal a dark interior.

“Huh?” Leon leaned forward in confusion as he failed to find anything inside the box. Drukali took that moment to explain.

“This is a spatial box that we have used to contain a certain treasure. The box in itself is a priceless item. What is inside it, even more so.” Drukali said mysteriously.

“Please, get to the point.” Leon said with an annoyed tone.

“This box was crafted by one of the most powerful Dragon Overlords in our history. He reigned over the Dragon Clans back during the Era of Gods, and guided us through that turbulent time. He was wise and unique, and had made several relics that uphold out society till this date. This is one of the many valuable items that he had crafted during his rule, the Bottomless Chest.” Drukali slowly explained. “It has an impossibly large internal volume, and can contain enough wealth to store an entire empires wealth a hundred times over.”

“I see. Then what about what is inside it now? What good is it of to me?” Leon asked. He was already intrigued by the supposed volume of the Bottomless Chest. Although it was not truly bottomless, if it could deliver on the proposed internal volume, then it was already priceless!

Drukali reached into the box and pulled out a dark purple rock that had lines running all over it. The lines pulsed with light like a beating heart. However, what caught Leon’s attention was the deep familiarity he felt from the rock.

‘Gravity mana!’

“This is a rare ore that is formed in special locations that are extremely rare around the world. It is called Gravida. It is quite obvious where its name comes from, as it already pulses with the mana attribute that is contained within it” Drukali smiled when he saw that Leon’s attention had been successfully captured. The dragons had done their research before coming here. They knew that Leon was a powerful gravity mage, and that he would be intrigued by such a rare and valuable material.

“This bottomless chest contains a year’s worth of mining extract from a Gravida mine. Surely, this should be enough for you to take us seriously.” He smirked.

Leon was silent for two full minutes before sighing and raising his gaze back to Drukali’s.

“You are right, it is enough for me to take you seriously, but as I said before, the young dragon does not belong to me. And even still, I cannot trade him away like a service or product.” Leon shook his head. He briefly recalled the ability that Mica had shown off when Elena was injured. Then he remembered how Lance had later explained that Mica had used that same ability to heal his severed arm. His resolve steeled up. If Mica could grow to his full potential, then he would be an unbeatable combatant!

“I am sorry, but I cannot decide now. I will have to consult the dragon’s master.” Leon said decisively and stood up. Preferably, he would have liked to come to a compromise with these dragons, but it did not seem like they would be willing to compromise on this issue. For the Dragon Overlord himself to have come personally, then that meant they intended to leave the Central Continent with Mica. It was just a matter of how.
