The Black Necromancer

Chapter 272 Easy Win

Leon’s mind sharped as he felt the engravements on his bones flare with heat and Divinity. He instantly spotted the hidden form of a large bodied Undead, who was covered in a strange magical barrier. His body instantly reacted, and he manipulated the wind to lash out at the hidden form of the undead.

Whoosh!

Boom!

An explosion of wind preceded a huge dust cloud that rose as a result of Leon’s spell. He knew that it was not enough, so he followed up with a series of quick, but powerful spells.

Boom!

 Boom!

Boom!

The ground was shaking, and fire and dust rose into the air, but Leon knew his foe was not dead from that.

“I am surprised you were able to locate me, even with the extra measures I had taken to make sure you could not find me. However, it is not all that bad. The only thing I regret is not striking first when you were unaware.” A deep voice boomed as Garrix stepped out from a cloud of smoke and fire.

“Who are you?” Leon asked.

“Who I am does not matter. All that is important is that my master wants you. Dead or alive.” Garrix replied and held his arm out to the side, summoning a longsword.

Leon instantly felt the animosity and hostility toward him and summoned his black sword, completing the Abyss Set that he always wore. His helmet also appeared over his head, giving him a menacing look. He also tried to raise his summons, but shockingly found that he was unable to reach them.

“I have already taken measures to ensure that I can face you alone.” Garrix read Leon’s actions and laughed.

“Don’t underestimate me!” Leon growled and the engravings on his bones glowed brightly, allowing him to break through whatever measure that Garrix had been able to put up to prevent him from bringing his summons. Unfortunately, he was too weak to arouse the full power of the engravings, and was only able to summon Nero. He did, however, tell Kaladin to inform Leonidas and the others about this sudden attack, before the connection was cut off again.

“Oh? Impressive! You were able to break through the seals I had set up.” Garrix nodded his head, gaining a much greater understanding of why his master held Leon in such high regard.

“Master!” Nero’s anger blazed as he appeared in a haze of mana. He had felt the connection between him and Leon go silent, which was strange. When he had tried reaching out, he was not able to, and he instantly knew something was wrong. Seeing this, he immediately felt anger boil up within his chest. “I will smite anyone who stands in my way!” He growled, summoning a shield and sword.

“Careful, Nero. He’s strong.” Leon warned his loyal Berserker Knight. Nero took his warning to heart, but it did nothing to calm down the rage he felt in his heart. Under the setting sun, he felt his power rise, but he was not able to activate his Title, as it was not yet night time.

Nero concentrated his power to his right hand which held his sword, as he raised it up above his head, and swung down, unleashing a sharp, blinding might. The air parted, and space was sliced apart as Nero swung down his blade. As he concentrated all his might into this one attack, the strength of the attack also rose up significantly.

It turned out that the battle power that Nero had shown off when fighting the Demonic Beasts was not a fluke. Even Garrix turned more serious when he was face with such power.

‘It seems I must do my best.’ He thought to himself as he also felt Leon move. Nedra appeared behind Garrix, and much to his surprise, she displayed A rank might!

‘This was not part of the report!’ Garrix thought as a sharp pain assaulted his mind and his body was flung away by Nedra’s hit. He was thrown right at Nero’s incoming attack, and could not properly defend in time.

BOOM!

The earth was sundered, and the clouds up in the sky parted as Nero’s attack landed on Garrix’s chest. A massive cloud of dust rose up, but was sliced apart by Nero’s aura that still rage as his energy surged. A massive amount of mana poured into his sword as he lunged forward, already locating where Garrix was within the cloud of dust.

“Hmm, that was quite painful.” Nero was shocked when his sword came to a sudden stop. The blazing sharp aura that he emanated was snuffed out by the one that rose from Garrix. In the next moment, Nero’s body was sliced into a thousand pieces, and he vanished in a cloud of black smoke.

“What?!” Leon was shocked, but that did not stop him from throwing the Gravity Bomb that he had been working on.

“You do not have the power to stop me.” Garrix said and waved his sword in an upward vertical motion. There was no overwhelming weapon aura or anything, but the Gravity Bomb that looked so threatening was instantly cut in half, and the mana that made it up was instantly dissipated.

“!!” Leon was too stunned to speak. He had not imagined such power would come from this Undead.

‘Leon, run!’ Nedra lunged at Garrix, but the Undead simply turned around and waved his sword again, cutting her massive body in two halves.

“Nedra, no!” Leon exclaimed and launched himself forward. His sword glowed brightly as it was covered in a mixture of two different energies. Weapon aura and his weapon enhancement skill blazed around his sword as he appeared in front of Garrix and struck.

“Futile!” Garrix parried the strike and kicked Leon’s chest, sending the latter flying off into the distance. He appeared over Leon again in the next moment and kicked him down into the ground.

The chest area of the Abyss Armor shattered and Leon was buried several meters into the ground, unable to move because of how many bones he had broken in that short moment.

Garrix appeared over the crater that Leon’s body was sitting in, and his eyes flashed.𝑣𝗅xt.π’Έπ“œ

“That was easy.”
