The Black Necromancer

Chapter 224 A Beating Not To Be Forgotten

As if his bones were going to blow up, Leon felt an incredible wave of power flow through his body. He had thought that nothing could surpass the strength he felt when he had gotten the boost from his <Supreme> Title earlier, but he was wrong.

“SCREW OFF!” Leon roared and the air around him directly burst into black flames that forced Lynx away.

Wide-eyed, Lynx flipped in the air and landed gracefully with a scowl on his face. He could not believe that Leon was even stronger than before. He had been watching the fight between Leon and Kai, so he knew that Leon had exploded with power earlier. Who would have expected it to happen again?

From within the smoke and dust of the earlier explosion, Leon walked out, but he was looking much more different from just moments ago. The fire around him swirled, taking on two different forms. Black and white.

The black represented his Unholy energy, the core of what he was. While the white represented the Divinity that was trapped within his bones.

While he had practiced manipulating Divinity, and when he had gained the Holy Energy Manipulation skill, he had unconsciously infused Michael’s Divinity within his body. Now, those two energies were combining, mixing together to amplify Leon’s power even more than what it was supposed to be with his Titles and skills all working together.

Although, there was an imbalance in the whole thing because the energies within Leon did not entirely match. The Unholy energy within him had not yet risen to the stage where it could be compared with Divinity.

There were two forms of Divinity, although Leon had no idea of this. Divinity came in two flavors, namely Order and Chaos. It was much more complicated, but in order to explain it to the lessers who were worthy of this knowledge, the Gods had dumbed it down several levels. All of this was instinctual to them, so they normally did not bother to give it names.

That aside, the two forms of Divinity, when broken down to their base levels that could be maintained in the lesser world, came in the forms of Holy and Unholy energy, with Holy energy representing Order while Unholy energy represented Chaos.

Right now, Leon only possessed Unholy energy in contrast to the Order oriented Divinity that came from Michael, which was swirling within his body. It created an imbalance that threatened to rip him apart.

Although Leon did not know the specifics of all this, he could feel that his body was under great stress, so he knew that he had to end this battle as soon as possible.

Whoosh!

Leon waved his hand and the ground beneath Lynx’s feet turned to mud, trying to trap him, but Lynx had noticed this, and he quickly leapt up into the air to get away. However, Leon had anticipated this, and a fist made of dark purple mana manifested in the air and slammed into Lynx’s back, sending him spiraling down, before slamming into him, burying him several feet into the ground.

“Urgh!” Lynx coughed up blood as he sprung to his feet and tried to run away, but a gravity field manifested around him, slowing him down considerably.

“Wha-?!” Lynx was about to complain when Leon appeared in front of him and send his fist smashing right into the center of his face.

Lynx was so taken aback by the turn of events and Leon’s explosive strength that he did not know how to react. In fact, when Leon landed a few more punches on his face, he was so dazed by Leon’s strength shaking up his brain that he could not even form a proper thought. He could not think of how to escape Leon’s assault and could only remain in place, receiving a pummeling.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Leon’s fists created dull booms through the air and Lynx’s body that echoed through the forest. His fists were relentless as the buried themselves in Lynx’s face. Luckily, an A rank Beastkin’s bones were rather sturdy, so even though a few cracks had formed in Lynx’s skull, it was nothing that could not be healed with magic or strong potions.

By the time Leon paused his assault, his fists were covered in blood. Lynx, who had been held up by Gravity magic, finally slumped to the ground, his eyes white and his consciousness nowhere to be found.

Leon let out a sigh and stood back. His world spun for a moment before he regained his focus and balance. The effects of his Titles also started to wear off now that he was no longer fighting.

“Ugh…” Leon tried to suppress a groan and held a hand to his chest. His core was aching. A look at it was enough for Leon to see many cracks running across the surface of the shiny, powerful gem that was floating in his chest.

“That was intense.” Leon murmured to himself and bent down to pick Lynx. He also picked the back daggers that had been tossed to the ground as Lynx received the beating of his life.

He held Lynx up by the scruff of his neck and dragged him back to the main battleground where he had fought the lizardman and other monsters of the floor. Everyone had distanced themselves to fight without interruption, but Nedra and Estella had remained here to fight.

Leon walked out of the darkness with an imposing aura, drawing the attention of the two fighters. Immediately, they noticed the defeated figure that was in Leon’s grasp.

“No! Kai!!!” Estella gasped and screamed. Nedra saw this as he chance and was ready to deal a fatal blow when Leon’s voice echoed through her mind.

‘Don’t kill her, come back.’ He told Nedra, and although Nedra was confused, she instantly did as he said, pulling back and retracting her claws.

Estella’s voice had reached far and wide, easily alerting the other fighters. The related Beastkin quickly abandoned their fights and rushed to the source of Estella’s voice. Leon’s elite summons were about to hold them back when they got messages from Leon telling them to return to his side and leave them.
