Chapter 19 Kaladin
“Greetings, master. Please give me a name.”
Leon was still frozen. The summoning had worked. He was ecstatic! He had initially thought that his attempt would fail miserably, but it turned out that he had succeeded on the first try!

His <Spirit Summoning> skill had managed to gain two levels out of that stint, which was a gain that Leon would not refuse.
Nedra had been watching Leon, and when he made his way over to the black skeleton, she had not known what he intended to do. It was only when she felt the restless and energetic waves of mana begin whipping through the air that she had understood what exactly he was doing. She had watched the dazzling display, as her new master summoned another servant to do his bidding. She was actually quite surprised that he had been able to pick up on the skill so quickly. She wanted to pin his results on the fact that he had been born into her former master’s bones, but she knew that that would be a false claim. What he was doing could only be attributed to his own abilities.
After staring for a while, Leon snapped out of his daze. He held his chin as he thought.
“A name… I do not have a good name in mind right now, so that can wait. For now, show me what you can do.” He said after a bit of fruitless thought.
“As you wish, master.” The skeleton being straightened his back and looked at Leon. A flicker of blue light shined in its dark eye sockets. Leon appraised it with the help of his system abilities.

‘His stats are quite balanced. Although, his Health, Strength, and Agility are a bit lower than mine when I first started out. And his mana is also a bit more. Makes sense for a mage, I guess.’ Leon thought to himself as he examined the Undead Mage’s stats.
“Follow me.” He led Nedra and his new summon out of the cathedral after confirming the absence of any Ghost Millipedes. The millipedes had surprisingly not followed them out of the nest.
Leon led Nedra and the unnamed Obsidian Skeleton Mage to a group of Undead Millipedes that were roaming about as they looked for anything that they could attack.
“Alright, just use one of your spells on them. We can check out the results after that.” Leon instructed.
“As you wish, master.” The skeleton mage nodded and raised his hand up. His black, bony hand stretched forward, and his robes suddenly sparked to life. Tiny streaks of lightning flickered over the dark robe before a bright bolt of lightning struck forward, landing at the center of the four millipedes.
Boom!
A small explosion occurred, and a billow of smoke rose up into the air, along with the legs and broken chitin carapace of the millipedes.
“Perfect hit!” Leon exclaimed as the smoke cleared out. The scene that was shown was of the completely devastated millipedes. Two of them were outright dead, while one was missing half of its body, but was still somehow managing to cling on to its life. The last one had spots on its body that was broken, and some parts of its carapace was even completely missing.

The skeleton mage’s level immediately went up by four, bringing him up to level five.
“Sweet!” Leon was ecstatic. The skeleton mage leveled up just like he and Nedra did. That meant that any of his summons could as well! Although Leon had no eyes, the green flamed that resided within his black skull still blazed with intense greed as he looked at the bodies of the millipedes. His mana had recovered a bit, so that meant he should be able to raise another spirit to do his bidding.
“Take care of the remaining two.” Leon told the skeleton mage, and it quickly used a fireball to burn them up. He leveled up three more times after that.
When the millipedes were confirmed to be dead, Leon then walked up to them and used his skill. A purple flame rose from the corpse of the millipede he was focused on. It only took a few moments before the corpse turned into black ash and swirled around to reform the body of a pitch black Ghost Millipede.

The little Ghost Millipede was just around the size of a usual Ghost Millipede. It ran circles around Leon for a while until he bent down and patted its head. Unlike Nedra, he was not able to understand its squeals and screeches, but he could understand how it felt.
“This is great! With this skill, I can create an army strong enough to wipe out the Ghost Millipede nest!” Leon was very happy. “Come on, let’s go kill a few more before we head back to rest.” Leon waved at the others. They wiped out a few more groups of millipedes, and before long, Nedra had reached level fifty, while the skeleton mage was at level twenty five. The little Ghost Millipede had only reached level thirteen. Its speed of killing was quite slow.
It was not until late at night that the group returned to the cathedral’s hall. And this time, there were a lot more bodies occupying the hall.
Leon sat with crossed legs as he pondered upon something. After some time, he suddenly raised his head and snapped his fingers as if some brilliant thought had passed through his mind. He turned to the skeleton mage and told him.
“I have a name for you. Your name will be Kaladin!”
