The BL System Won't Let Me Rest!
Chapter 109: Flurry
Rin stared at the Fallen God, analyzing as much of the information as he could.
There were too many things he didn’t understand. Too many questions And every answer seemed to create even more questions.
"Why do you have to destroy everything?" Rin asked. "Why do you want to hurt people?"
The Fallen God stared at him for a moment before laughing bitterly.
"Why?"
His expression twisted with resentment.
"Ah... unlike you, I never had that many followers."
His voice became colder.
"When people stopped receiving what they wanted from me, they forgot about me."
He placed a hand against his chest.
"Which means..."
His eyes darkened.
"I can die!"
Rin’s expression changed. What was he talking about? Why was he saying these things to him?
The Fallen God continued before Rin could ask.
"Why don’t you ask your guardians what they did when they attacked the Heavens?"
Rin stared at him in shock.
"What...?"
"EVERYTHING IS BECAUSE OF YOU!"
The Fallen God’s voice echoed through the area.
Rin remained frozen. What was all of this supposed to mean? Why was everything such a mess? Why did every answer lead to another mystery?
And most importantly—
Why did I have to come into this world?
Rin couldn’t understand anything anymore. Before the Fallen God could continue with his personal drama, two figures moved.
Kaelith and Sol looked at each other. They didn’t say a word. They didn’t need to.
And before the Fallen God could continue—
BOOM!
Black magic exploded around Kaelith. At the same time, Sol’s wind immediately surrounded the rest of the group, protecting them from Kaelith’s black flames.
The ground shook beneath their feet. The air itself seemed to tremble.
"Sol! Kaelith, stop!"
Rin shouted in panic.
"We still need to find out how to lift Kaan’s curse!"
Kaelith’s eyes burned with anger.
"Enough."
His voice was cold.
"I’ve followed you until now and accepted all your nonsense."
Rin froze. Kaelith’s magic continued to spread around him.
"Why do I have to help people I don’t even know?"
His voice grew louder.
"Why do I have to be accused of betraying you?"
Rin couldn’t speak. Kaelith’s expression became increasingly frustrated.
"Why can’t we just stay quietly in our room?"
Rin was left speechless. So was everyone else. Lucien lowered his gaze. He didn’t know what to say.
The words seemed to hurt him, but he remained silent. Kaelith looked at Rin again.
"Every time, you want to discover something new."
The black flames around him grew stronger.
"Every time, you put yourself in danger!"
Rin clenched his fists.
"Every time, you trick me, and I follow you everywhere just to protect you! "
Kaelith’s voice echoed through the ruins.
"Do you really think this loser is going to tell us anything?"
He looked toward the Fallen God.
"Foolishness."
His expression became cold.
"If I kill him and the curse doesn’t disappear..."
Kaelith’s eyes narrowed.
"That is their fate."
Rin stared at him.
"But that’s not right!"
His voice finally broke through the chaos.
"Lucien has been your friend for so long!"
Rin pointed toward Kaan and the others.
"Kaan and the others are his people! We can’t just abandon them!"
The flames became even more frightening. The entire place where the castle had once stood had already been transformed into ash.
Kaelith slowly looked toward Rin.
"Don’t abandon them?"
His voice was filled with disbelief.
"Why?"
He turned toward Lucien.
"When he did exactly that!"
Lucien’s expression changed. Kaelith’s voice became louder.
"Why do I have to be the good one?"
The black flames rose around him.
"When I needed him, he chose his so-called gods!"
Lucien’s hands tightened. Kaelith continued.
"He abandoned us."
His voice shook.
"He abandoned me!"
Rin’s heart tightened. Kaelith looked directly at him.
"Just like you did."
Rin froze.
"Why don’t you remember?"
Kaelith’s magical power began spiraling out of control.
"Why do you always do this?"
His voice became desperate.
"Why am I the only one cursed to remember you constantly?"
Rin’s eyes widened.
"Why do you always forget?"
Kaelith’s voice cracked.
"Tell me, Rin!"
His magic exploded. The black flames spread farther. And this time, they weren’t only covering the ruins.
They were heading toward the city. Rin’s face went pale.
"Sol!"
He turned toward the God of Air.
"You have to stop him, or the entire city will burn!"
But Kaelith wasn’t listening. His eyes remained fixed on Rin.
"Why are you ignoring me?"
His voice trembled.
"WHY?!"
"Sol!"
Rin shouted again.
"Do something!"
Everyone present went silent. They remembered.
Once again, they remembered who stood before them. The one who destroyed kingdoms. The one who moved across the earth like a shadow. The one hated by everyone. The legend...
The God of Calamities. Kaelith.
He was standing right in front of them and no one could stop him.
Sol looked at Rin. There was pain in his eyes.
"I’m sorry, Rin."
Rin stared at him.
"But this time..."
Sol lowered his gaze.
"I agree with Kaelith."
His voice was filled with sadness.
"Why don’t you remember anything about us?"
Rin couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
This can’t be happening. The city will be destroyed. I have to do something.
He stared at the sea of black flames that had already reached the city.
Remember, Rin. Remember something. Anything. Otherwise, the Calamity will swallow us all.
But nothing came. No memories. No answers. Only the flames. The black sea was already consuming the city.
Then the Fallen God began laughing.
"Hahaha!"
His body was burning within Kaelith’s black flames, yet he continued laughing.
"You’ve completely lost your mind, Kaelith!"
Kaelith turned toward him. The Fallen God laughed harder.
"I told you the last time!"
His voice echoed through the destruction.
"Love will destroy you!"
Kaelith’s expression darkened.
"And because of that so-called love of yours, you will destroy the world!"
The Fallen God’s laughter became almost manic.
"This is what happens when you fall in love with the God of Love!"
He laughed again.
"You deserve this! Hahahaha!"
"Shut up!"
Kaelith’s voice exploded across the battlefield.
"SHUT UP!"
The flames surged violently. Rin stared at the destruction around him.
"What should I do?"
His voice trembled.
"What should I do?"
He was in shock. He couldn’t think. He couldn’t find a solution.
"I can’t do anything..."
His legs gave out. Rin fell to his knees while staring at the sea of black flames swallowing the city.
Then—
[Host, I can help you.]
Rin’s eyes widened.
System? How could you help me?
[Hug Kaelith.]
Rin stared at the message.
Hug him?
[Otherwise, the city will be completely burned within two minutes.]
Rin looked at Kaelith. His entire body was surrounded by black flames.
I’m supposed to hug him?
Rin couldn’t believe it.
Are you insane?
He stared at Kaelith.
Look at him!
His voice shook.
This isn’t the Kaelith I know!
The System’s answer appeared immediately.
[He is Kaelith.]
Rin fell silent.
[Your eyes simply choose not to look at him.]
Rin didn’t say anything. For several seconds, he had no idea what to do.
Would Kaelith calm down if I did this? Would it really work?
Before Rin could make a decision, however, a terrible headache suddenly struck him.
"Ah!"
Rin grabbed his head. His vision blurred. Then another voice entered his mind.
It wasn’t the System.
This voice sounded exactly like Rin’s. Except... slightly older.
"You cannot remember your origins right now."
Rin froze.
"But listen to me carefully."
His breathing became uneven.
"Kiss Kaelith."
Rin’s eyes widened.
"Only this way will you be able to escape."
Rin stared blankly ahead.
"Who are you...?"
The voice continued.
"Do it, or the rest of the people will die."
Rin’s heart pounded.
"If you don’t stop his energy crisis, there will be no way to bring him back."
The voice became more urgent.
"What remains will only be a body controlled by hatred."
Rin’s eyes widened.
"Hurry!"
Rin listened to the voice inside his head.
He didn’t understand who it was. He didn’t understand why it sounded like him. But he had no time to question it.
He quickly moved toward the edge of Sol’s wind barrier. He tried to leave.
But an invisible force stopped him. Rin pushed forward. Nothing.
The power wouldn’t let him move.
Then—
World’s voice echoed from the sky.
"Don’t go to him!"
Rin looked upward.
"Don’t remember!"
The voice of World shook the heavens.
"Let him destroy himself!"
The pressure around Rin increased.
"I won’t let you go!"
Rin gritted his teeth.
No. I can’t stay here. If I don’t go now, everything will be lost.
Then the System appeared again.
[Host, one minute remaining until the total annihilation of the city.]
Rin’s eyes widened. He looked toward Lucien. Then Kaan. Then the others.
"Lucien!"
Everyone looked at him.
"Kaan!"
Rin pointed toward the barrier.
"All of you, push me out!"
They stared at him.
"World isn’t letting me move!"
Rin struggled against the invisible force.
"But if you help me, I can do it!"
His voice became desperate.
"Please!"
Lucien, Kaan, and the others stared at Rin.
He’s really going to stop him? The God of Calamities? Is that even possible?
For a moment, nobody moved. Then Lucien was the first.
He stepped forward.
"Fine."
He placed his hands against Rin’s back.
"Just make sure you give him a good beating on our behalf."
Despite everything, Lucien sounded almost amused.
Kaan immediately followed. Then the others. Rin felt them pushing from behind.
He looked toward Sol.
"Where are you going?" Sol’s voice was cold.
Rin turned toward him.
"Sol, let me out."
Sol remained still.
"If I don’t go and grab his hand now..."
Rin looked toward Kaelith.
"I’m afraid I won’t ever be able to save him again."
His voice became firmer.
"So move!"
Sol stared at Rin.
Rin was being pushed from behind by Lucien, Kaan, and the others, desperately trying to get through the barrier.
For a moment, Sol said nothing. Then he sighed. Once again, Sol chose to help Rin.
"Fine."
He looked at Rin.
"You chose this."
A small smile appeared on his face.
"Don’t complain later."
Then Sol turned toward everyone else.
"Move aside!"
A powerful gust of wind began forming behind Rin.
Rin’s eyes widened.
"Wait a second..."
He looked suspiciously at Sol.
"This isn’t what I think it is, is it?"
Sol smiled.
"It is exactly what you think it is. A little help."
The wind suddenly intensified. Rin barely had time to react.
"Wait—"
WHOOSH!
The wind launched Rin forward. Instantly. Straight toward Kaelith.
Rin’s eyes widened as the world blurred around him.
"HELP?!"
Sol laughed.
"A little assistance!"
Rin flew faster. His face twisted in disbelief.
"ASSISTANCE?!"
He was propelled directly toward the God of Calamities.
"THIS IS FUCKING PROPULSION!"
