Chapter 1350: Chapter 1347: How Could She Not Be Anxious and Annoyed
"You... go away, will you... You want to mur... murder... You don’t... need to..." Zi Ruoxi said angrily, spitting out two mouthfuls of seawater. She was flailing in the water, initially able to get on the boat quickly, but that guy forcibly grabbed her arm, causing her to spin in the water. How could she not be anxious and angry?
Murder... Her imagination is so rich, why doesn’t she write a script?
"Ruoxi... Ruoxi, why are you flailing around?" Qiao Junlie said slyly from the surface of the ocean. Unbeknownst to him, the other party did not cooperate, but seemed to have grasped something.
Both Zi Ruoxi and Qiao Junlie were startled. They unexpectedly thought of the same thing simultaneously. However, Zi Ruoxi reacted faster, instantly kicking him away with her foot, flailing in the water, and swimming towards the handrail extending down from the deck.
As she reached the deck, her hands had already touched the handrail, preparing to climb up, when she felt something amiss.
Heavens! It can’t be so embarrassing! Something under the boat was catching on her clothes. Zi Ruoxi worried that if she forced her way up, her clothes might all come off, which would be even more humiliating.
Damn, it’s all that deathly Qiao Junlie’s fault; he bought her that ugly skirt, and not only that, he pushed her into the sea, deliberately trying to embarrass her?
Zi Ruoxi’s watery beautiful appearance now was blazing with anger, truly as if she was about to cough up blood.
Before long, the person not far behind had swum over.
"What... what’s going on... Ruoxi... Why aren’t you getting up, just drinking seawater here?" Qiao Junlie asked curiously, puzzled by her holding onto the handrail yet not climbing up, half of her body still soaking in the ocean.
However, the other party seemed not to hear him, silently sulking.
Just as he intended to lean forward to see what was happening, the other party suddenly turned her face away.
As the saying goes, misfortune begets fortune, fortune follows misfortune. In front of her, Qiao Junlie chose to embrace the moment.
Qiao Junlie wrapped her softly, completely absorbed in a vacuum, his gaze filled with longing that required no excess words. All the tenderness transformed into a kiss, deeply imprinting on her brow, connecting to his soul, immersed within, never to escape...
...
For the rest of the day, they spent most of the time sleeping. This love-filled warm yacht carried on drifting endlessly in the ocean. It seemed never-ending.
In the afternoon, as the sun sent its golden rays westward, they rose and ate some food before Qiao Junlie resumed his next plan. To win a beauty’s heart, he had prepared meticulously.
When the fishing gear and fishing rod presented themselves in front of Zi Ruoxi’s eyes, she covered her lips in surprise. She had never expressed a liking for fishing, yet he had prepared such activities for her.
Upon seeing Zi Ruoxi adeptly pick up the fishing rod, equip bait, select a spot in a few swift moves, and cast the line into the sea, her elegance and beauty took him by surprise, making Qiao Junlie view her in a new light.
"You like fishing?" Qiao Junlie asked, bemusedly eyeing her. Generally, girls don’t tend to like this; it is often a boy’s hobby, why...
Qiao Junlie discovered more and more interesting facts about Zi Ruoxi, truly remarkable, and unlike anyone else. Moreover, he had never noticed these hobbies while growing up. Why, was he not attentive enough or... did he not know her well enough.
Upon hearing Qiao Junlie’s question, Zi Ruoxi didn’t answer, her eyes flickering continuously.
After a while.
"Yes." Zi Ruoxi finally replied affirmatively.
"When did you start liking this?" Qiao Junlie asked; her subtle eye changes were evident to him.
Zi Ruoxi pursed her lips and then smiled faintly. Perhaps it was long due time to let go of past matters. Constantly clinging to the past was unfair to him.
"Since Harvard University," Zi Ruoxi said apathetically.
After hearing that, Qiao Junlie remained silent for two or three seconds, only accompanied by the sound of the rushing sea wind and waves.
"Did he teach you?" Qiao Junlie asked, his tone so calm that almost no internal upheaval was noticeable.
"Yes," Zi Ruoxi replied.
"Do you still miss him?" Or, what Qiao Junlie truly wanted to ask was, "Do you still love him?" His blue eyes fluctuated slightly, perhaps expressing lack of confidence, but he still calmly awaited her answer.
Zi Ruoxi paused.
"If... I said not anymore, would you believe me?" Zi Ruoxi said indifferently. Once so tangled a relationship, what is left now?
Observing her, Qiao Junlie felt an inner ripple fading away. His handsome face shifted slightly.
"I do." Qiao Junlie affirmed.
"...Not anymore." Zi Ruoxi’s eyes dimmed. Then inexplicably turned her head, looking at the vast, boundless sea, suddenly showing a trace of sadness.
Is this lying through the teeth?
Despite his efforts to cater to her wishes, she had not completely moved on.
Qiao Junlie quietly came over, gently approached her side, lifting her chin, making her look at him. Softly asking, "Is it not enough that I replace him in your heart?"
As soon as he spoke.
"No, you two are of different types entirely. Qiao Junlie... you are excellent; it’s me who is unworthy." Zi Ruoxi said hurtfully.
The answer she received was a kiss. Qiao Junlie resolutely kissed her lips, unhesitatingly declaring his feelings. Zi Ruoxi paused a second before responding with equal passion. She indeed loved him, and couldn’t deceive herself. The past was gone; now, treasure what is present!
At the bow, the two were sweetly kissing when suddenly, "Splash!" Something seemed to splash suddenly in the sea.
Zi Ruoxi immediately let go of Qiao Junlie. Quickly grappling the fishing rod, she forcefully pulled it up.
"Wow! That’s a huge one!" Zi Ruoxi exclaimed, smiling brightly. Her strength seemed somewhat insufficient. As the fish flailed in mid-air halfway up, she called out, "Hey, help me out, why are you just standing there?"
Qiao Junlie, laughing, went over, clutching the fishing rod. Together, they pulled the big fish up, throwing it onto the deck.
Zi Ruoxi was happily laughing. Seeing her enthusiasm, Qiao Junlie’s mood brightened; it felt as though everything from before had simply vanished.
After that, the things Qiao Junlie brought out from the cabin delighted Zi Ruoxi once more.
