The woman pulled out her phone and moved closer to Jessica, who stood beside her. As she struck a pose, she smiled broadly, almost grinning, while Jessica gave a slight smile.

“Thank you so much, Jessica!” the woman said after checking the pictures. “You look even more beautiful in person. I swear, you’re an angel. I’m going to remember this day forever.”

Jessica smiled, touched by her words. “You’re welcome. I’m happy we got to meet, too. I hope you have a wonderful evening, and please take care of yourself, okay?”

“I will! You take care of yourself, too. And good luck with everything you’re working on. I’ll always support you!”

“Thank you, sweetheart. That means a lot.”

Jessica gave her one last smile before turning toward the elevator. Just as she reached for the button, she hesitated, then looked back at the woman.

“Oh, right. Can I ask you for a small favor?” she said gently. “I hope you won’t upload our pictures to social media today. I don’t want the media to find out that I’m staying at this hotel.”

The woman nodded immediately. “Of course! Don’t worry. If that’s what you want, I won’t post anything about meeting you today. I’ll wait a few days before uploading them. I promise.”

“Yes, please. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your understanding.”

“Anything for you, Jessica!”

Jessica waved goodbye as the elevator doors opened. She stepped inside, and the moment the doors closed, her smile faded into intense concentration. She checked her phone, then glanced at the floor display as the elevator began to rise.

When the elevator finally reached the top floor, Jessica stepped out and walked toward Zachary’s presidential suite.

The hallway was quiet, with only the soft hum of the hotel’s air-conditioning breaking the silence. Her heels made gentle sounds against the floor, each step bringing her closer to the room.

She had imagined and reimagined this moment so many times, and her confidence grew each time. Still, now that she was actually standing outside his room, her confidence began to waver.

What if he didn’t react the way she expected?

What if he was angry that she had come without waiting for him?

What if, despite everything she had planned, he still couldn’t look at her the way he used to?

Jessica tightened her grip on her clutch bag and forced herself to keep walking. She couldn’t let those thoughts stop her. She had come this far, and she wasn’t going to turn back now.

When she reached the door, she pulled out the key card and double-checked the number.

‘His room 2503…’

Her heart pounded loudly against her chest.

‘Zach, I’m coming,’ she told herself, her lips curving into a small smile. As her nervousness grew, she scolded herself. ‘Please calm down, Jess. You only need to open the door and go inside. He’s already on heavy drugs. He won’t refuse you because he doesn’t know what’s happening tonight.’

She took a slow breath, hoping to settle her racing heart. However, the quiet hallway suddenly made her feel more aware of every small sound. The thought of what might be waiting for her on the other side of the door caused her fingers to tremble slightly.

Jessica glanced down the empty corridor. No one was there. She looked at the door again, then back at the key card in her hand.

She had wanted this moment for so long, and now there was no reason to hesitate. With a determined expression, she raised the key card and tapped it against the reader. A faint click sounded in the quiet hallway, and the lock released.

Jessica’s hand trembled slightly as she reached for the handle. She paused, her heart filled with nervous anticipation, before finally pushing the door open. The darkness inside greeted her, and she frowned as she stepped into the room.

‘Geez… he didn’t even bother to turn on the lights?’

A small smile returned to her face as she closed the door behind her. Light from outside filtered through the glass wall near the seating area, but the room was still too dim for her to see clearly. She glanced around, trying to find Zachary, but there was no sign of him in the sitting area.

“Where is he?” she murmured.

Her eyes shifted toward the open door on her right. The bedroom door. Her heartbeat quickened when she realized that Zachary was probably in there, lying in bed, waiting. She clenched her fist and walked toward the door, her heels making soft sounds on the floor.

A floor lamp in the corner dimly lit the bedroom with its warm light. As her eyes adjusted to the low light, she saw a shirtless man lying on the bed with his back facing her. A well-shaped, broad back. He wore only pants, and he lay on his stomach.

Jessica’s lips curved into a pleased smile.

“Finally, Zach. You won’t be able to escape from me anymore,” she whispered as she approached the bed.

However, before she joined him, her gaze suddenly fell on the wine sitting on the bedside table. She reached for it, poured half a glass, and took a long sip. The wine tasted like heaven, and she quickly finished the glass without thinking much about it.

Within moments, warmth spread through her chest. She placed the glass back on the table, feeling an unfamiliar heat rise through her body. She assumed it was the wine and the excitement of finally being near Zachary.

She poured more into her empty glass and drank it.

Her thoughts grew less clear, and the restraint she had tried to maintain all evening began to weaken.

‘Ugh! Why do I feel so hot?’

She pressed a hand against her chest and took a shallow breath. Instead of stepping away, however, she looked at the man on the bed and let her excitement take over her body and guide her. She had come here for Zachary, and she didn’t want anything to ruin the moment.
