"Approved. They should let her in," Flora said calmly. "But when she arrives, let her wait. I will be out shortly."

"Okay, Madam."

The security officer saluted before turning and walking away.

Within a few minutes, the sound of a car engine came from the gate.

Simon immediately looked towards Flora, then shifted his gaze to Gabrielle. His expression changed, and his fingers slowly curled into a tight fist.

Flora walked towards the window and opened it slightly. She looked down at the entrance and immediately noticed a red Ferrari parked outside the gate.

Her eyes narrowed.

Laura.

The woman was still sitting inside her car, pressing the horn repeatedly.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Flora shook her head slightly. She had barely arrived, and she was already making noise.

Outside, one of the security guards glanced at his colleague.

"Madam said she should wait for a few minutes," he reminded him.

The other guard smiled and shook his head.

"I swear to God, Madam Flora’s attitude sometimes bursts my head. Why is her guest honking like that? Can’t she wait for a few minutes?"

His colleague chuckled.

"I don’t know, but I sense trouble."

"Trouble?" the first guard asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Big man, big trouble. And when these problems escalate, the poor man suffers the most."

Both men burst into laughter.

However, their laughter stopped when the Ferrari’s door suddenly opened.

Laura stepped out.

She looked incredibly beautiful. Her appearance was almost like Flora’s. She was tall, elegant, and carried herself with the confidence of a woman who believed the world should move at her command.

Her fitted suit gown reached her knees, revealing her long, straight legs. Her beautiful long hair flowed down her back, almost reaching her buttocks.

She adjusted her handbag and looked towards the security guards.

Her expression changed immediately.

"How long will it take you people to open this God-forsaken gate?" she demanded.

One of the guards stepped forward politely.

"Please, ma’am. Our boss is busy at the moment. She will be with you shortly."

Laura stared at him.

For a moment, she looked as though she had just heard a ghost speaking.

"Your boss?" she repeated slowly.

"Yes, ma’am."

Laura let out a short, irritated laugh.

"Are you seriously telling me that I have to wait outside because your boss is busy?"

The guard remained calm.

"Those are the instructions we received, ma’am."

She looked at him from head to toe.

"Unbelievable."

The second guard lowered his head, hiding the smile that threatened to appear on his face.

Laura turned around and returned to her Ferrari. She opened the driver’s door and settled inside, slamming it shut with unnecessary force.

She picked up her phone and checked the time.

What exactly was Flora trying to prove?

Her fingers tightened around her phone.

"Flora, you had better not be testing my patience," she whispered.

"Click! Click!"

The sound came from the entrance.

"Let her in."

Flora’s voice carried an unusual authority. It sounded like the command of a supreme goddess.

Immediately, the electric gate buzzed open.

Laura drove straight towards the main entrance. Two security officers quickly approached, ready to direct her towards the parking lot.

"Madam, the parking area is—"

"Leave her," Flora interrupted, raising one hand.

The officers exchanged glances before stepping aside.

Laura parked her car in front of the entrance and stepped out.

Laura immediately came forward, walking towards Flora with her shoulders raised like a loaf of bread swollen from too much yeast.

Laura looked at her sharply.

"Where is my sister?" Laura demanded.

Flora slowly examined her from head to toe.

"Who are you, and how may I help you?"

Laura’s eyebrows lifted.

"You can call Barrister Charles. He will give you all the necessary details. But for now, I want you to release my sister. I am not here to exchange words with a granny young -girl wannabe."

Flora turned.

"And you ,an old woman young-girl-coated. At least I know my age. If I am not important, you wouldn’t go through all this stress." Flora said.

Laura’s face turned pale.

"Imagine an amusing statement coming from someone who had barely introduced herself . Flora muttered

"Is that so?" Laura finally said.

Laura folded her arms.

Flora tilted her head slightly.

"It’s obvious Darwin picked you from the street. You seem to have missed the basic lessons on manners and self-respect." Flora said.

Laura heard Flora clearly enough to understand her words.

"What did you just say?"

Flora ignored her question.

Before Laura could talk again, Simon stepped forward.

He had been standing quietly, watching the exchange. His eyes remained fixed on Laura, and his expression was unreadable.

Laura turned towards him.

She slowly examined him from head to toe before bursting into laughter.

"Oh, my goodness!"

She covered her mouth dramatically.

"Look at this! One he-goat against two she-goats."

She muttered the words under her breath with a mocking smile..

Simon clenched his jaw.

"Simon, go inside and bring Gabrielle," Flora ordered.

"Okay, Ma."

Simon turned and walked towards the house.

Laura was already impatient. She stood in the middle of the compound, shouting Gabrielle’s name.

"Gabrielle! Gabrielle! Come out here immediately!"

Her voice echoed across the compound.

"Why is she shouting like she owns this place?" one guard whispered.

"Who are you asking? Don’t you know that, when the rich battle, hidden secrets are released.." the other replied.

A few minutes later, Gabrielle appeared.

The moment she saw her aunt, her face tightened. Her hands started to shake. She looked at Flora as if Flora was her only safe place.

"Aunt Laura?"

Laura’s eyes moved over her from head to toe.

"Gabrielle, what happened to you?" she asked, pretending to be concerned. "Look at yourself."

Before she could answer, Flora stepped forward.

"Gabrielle, your aunt is looking for you."

Gabrielle raised her head sharply.

"Madam?"

Gabrielle’s eyes filled with tears. She shook her head quickly.

"Please, Madam Flora, I don’t want to go with her."

Laura’s expression changed immediately.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Are you questioning me?"

She grabbed Gabrielle’s arm and tried to pull her towards the car.

"Let me go, Aunt Laura!" Gabrielle cried, struggling to free herself. "Please, let me go!"

Flora’s eyes narrowed.

Flora stepped closer, her expression cold and controlled.

"If you touch her again, I will call the police and have you arrested for assault and for attempting to take a minor by force. I don’t care who you think you are".

Laura took a step backwards, but she refused to lower her head.

She looked directly at Flora.

"And I will sue you for killing my husband!"

For a moment, silence fell over the compound.

Flora stared at her before a small smile appeared on her lips.

"Really?"

Laura folded her arms.

"Yes! You heard me correctly."

Flora gave a short laugh.

"If he was truly your husband, why were you missing during his burial?"

"Oh, you could not show your face. You know you were obviously kept in the dark and not allowed to see the light." Flora said.

Laura’s face changed.

Flora turned towards the security guards standing nearby.

"Escort this woman out of my property. She is a stranger, I don’t want her disturbing anyone here."

"Yes, Madam," one of them responded immediately.

Two security guards approached Laura, maintaining a respectful distance.

"Madam, please, we will have to ask you to leave the property," one of them said politely.

Laura turned towards them with disbelief.

"Are you people talking to me?"

"Yes, Madam. We have been instructed to escort you outside."

"Do you know who I am?"

"We are only following Madam Flora’s instructions. Please, come with us."

Around the compound, some of the staff had quietly hidden themselves in corners where they could watch without being noticed. Nobody wanted to become involved, but nobody wanted to miss it either.

"Who is this woman,I heard she is Madam’s co wife ," the gardener whispered.

"Lower your voice. If Madam hears you, you will be explaining yourself," the house keeper replied.

Meanwhile, Flora turned towards Gabrielle.

"Gabrielle, go inside."

Gabrielle nodded, quickly wiped her tears and walked towards the house. She was still shaken, but she felt relieved that Flora had stood up for her.

Flora watched her disappear through the entrance before turning towards Simon.

"Let’s go inside," she said.

"Okay, Ma"

Simon moved alongside her.

But before they could take more than a few steps, Flora noticed something unusual behind them.

She stopped.

Her eyes slowly moved towards Laura.

The woman had already pulled off her wig. Her hair was now exposed, she dropped the wig on the ground. Her heels were also off.

She rushed towards Flora and Simon. The shocked security guards watched silently, waiting to see what she would do next.

Flora stared at her.

What exactly was this woman planning?

Laura’s breathing had become heavier. Her face was twisted with anger, and she looked nothing like the woman who had arrived at the estate minutes earlier.

Simon stopped immediately. His eyes narrowed as he observed her strange behaviour.

"Madam, I think we should—"

"Excuse me, why is your wig on the floor? Where exactly do you think you are?" Simon asked Laura.

"Wait, Simon," Flora interrupted....
