The Billionaire Widow's Driver
Chapter 38: The Chef At Midnight.
Chapter 38: Chapter 38: The Chef At Midnight.
The chef was standing there, holding a food flask. She wore a very short and transparent gown. Half of her body was exposed. Her chest and legs were almost naked.
Simon looked at her from head to toe and frowned.
He imagined what she was up to. Her body is not young and tight like a young girl’s, like Maya’s body that is still fresh and firm. Her body looked matured and her hair was not covered with her long cap. He could see her face clearly. She is an older lady.
"What are you doing at my door at this time of the night?" Simon asked directly. "And why are you dressed half-naked?"
The chef smiled. She tried to sound soft and sweet.
"I brought food for you," she said. "I thought you might be hungry."
Simon laughed hard. The laugh was loud.
"You brought food for me,food from another woman’s kitchen?" Simon said. "You went to Madam’s kitchen, cooked with her food, and brought it to me at night?"
"No," the chef said quickly. "No, Simon. I did not use Madam’s food. I made it with the food items I bought at the grocery store. I bought them with my own money. I made it specially for you."
Simon folded his arms. He was still standing inside, blocking the doorway.
"Okay, I have heard you," Simon said. "Thank you."
The chef moved closer. "You should allow me to come in," she said. "Let me come inside and put the food on your table. Let me explain better."
Simon shook his head. "No. You should say everything outside my door. Say what you want to say here. It is late. It is not right for you to enter my room dressed like this."
The chef did not give up. She adjusted her sexy, skimpy gown. She pulled it down slightly on her chest and up slightly on her leg. She wanted Simon to see her body clearly.
Then she looked at Simon directly.
"Simon, I will be straightforward," she said. "I would like to be your girlfriend. I like you. I see the way you work. I decided to surprise you with this meal. Anything you want to eat, I am a chef. I can prepare it for you."
"Thank you so much,I really appreciate.
"Don’t mention, she smiled.
The chef continued, "I noticed that you hardly eat food here in the house. It really bothers me. I wonder how you cope without eating well. You need someone like me to take care of that challenge. If money is the problem, I can help. I even overheard them say that those luxury gifts were given to you by a stranger..."
Simon looked at her and his face became serious.
"Oh, really? But wait a minute. Do you think food is my problem? If food is a problem for a man of my caliber, it means I don’t have a problem. It’s nice of you to want to cater for me, but you should cater for yourself. You are losing it, and I won’t lie to you or deceive you."
The chef was not angry. Though his words really hits hard. But she had another plan.
"Simon, I know you are a driver," she said. "You work for Madam. I know you have big dreams. Since you are a driver, I will support you with my salary. I will give you money from my salary every month so you can save. You can buy a car for yourself and go into the private transportation business. You can be your own boss. I want to help you grow."
When she said that, Simon laughed harder. He laughed so hard that he held his stomach.
"You want to support me?" Simon asked. "With your salary? So I can buy a car?"
"Yes," the chef said. "I care about you."
Simon stopped laughing. His face changed.
"Listen to me," Simon said. "First, you are not properly dressed. Look at yourself. This is Madam’s house. This is a decent house. If Madam sees you standing in her house looking like a seductress at night, she will be very disappointed in you. She hired you as a chef, not as a seductress. Have some respect for this house and for yourself."
The chef frowned. Her smile disappeared. She felt insulted.
Simon continued, "Go back. It is late. Go to your room and sleep. And dress properly."
But the chef did not want to go. She came closer again.
"I want to sleep in your room tonight," she said. She said it in a very soft voice. Then she turned around slowly so that Simon could admire her. "Just for tonight. Let me stay with you."
Simon did not even look at her body. He looked into her eyes.
"I am not moved by your appearance," Simon told her calmly. "Do you think a man like me will fall for you because you wear a short gown and show your body? No. It takes value and a disciplined woman to attract a man like me. It takes character. It takes respect. Not this."
The chef was shocked. She was not expecting that answer.
Simon pointed towards the hallway.
"So, run along," Simon said. "Go back to your room before I report you to Madam. If Madam hears that you came to knock on my door at this time of the night, half-naked, with food, she will not be happy. You know Madam. She does not tolerate nonsense in her house."
At the mention of Madam, the chef became afraid. Her face changed.
She turned and went back. She walked fast. She was disappointed. Her head was down. The food was still in her hand.
Simon watched her go until she entered her room and closed the door.
Then Simon laughed quietly. He shook his head.
He went back into his room, locked his door, and lay on his bed.
In his mind, he was thinking: _This house is full of temptation. The chef wants to use food and her body to trap him.
"Look at someone struggling to earn a living. At her age, she is still under her fellow woman’s payroll. Yet the only thing on her mind is how to use her body and another woman’s food to entice a man. Wonders shall never cease — a chef in the morning, a one-night stand at night. Where did Madam employ this loose dog from? If he reports her now, she will be jobless, and from all indications, Madam is the best when it comes to paying staff. She pays hourly, weekly, or monthly depending on your choice. Maybe she wants to double her hustle." Simon laughed.
"Flora should be an inspiration to all women; her charisma is equal to none.
I have driven her for months now and there is no other man in her life. Despite being every man’s dream, she respects herself. She has never stepped out without me driving her. It takes a disciplined woman to preserve herself after losing her husband, and that is even more reason why I love her so much.
He laughed so hard, then suddenly froze. There was movement around his corner. He kept quiet and listened.
