Chapter 404
Chapter 404: Love the Limelight
Yan Wei and the others couldn’t help but gaze at Yao Tang, unsure of what to say. She clenched her fist at the sight and resisted the urge to scoff.
She sneered.
Did this girl really like the idea of living in the limelight? She was in the middle of class, and she had asked the teacher to stop and teach in a different way.
How shameless!
Yan Wei didn’t look at Yao Tanganymore. She averted her gaze back to her desk, gritting her teeth. This classroom was already getting ridiculous!
“But…” Xi Yan glanced at Yang Nianand the others.
There were international students in her classroom. If they had simply followed the previous teaching methods she had set out, wouldn’t it be bad for them?
“No buts.”
…..
Yao Tang blocked her suggestion entirely with a shrug.
When they heard Yao Tang say that, they stared at Teacher Xiexpectantly.
“There are still a couple of days before the exam. Why don’t we self-study?” Meng Yang questioned.
“Now that the class is over, it’s better to study on our own. That way, we are also able to refresh ourselves from the previous lessons,” one chimed in.
“I agree!”
“Fine, then we’ll do what you say.” Xi Yan nodded. “Let’s study on our own.”
“Yay!”
The entire student body cheered in both delight and relief when the teacher gave her orders.
Even if Xi Yan was lecturing, she’d only be lecturing the exchange students. The others would simply be scribbling different questions on their notebooks. It would be no use for the majority.
As for whether or not the exchange students would need her explanation, that was another matter she’d have to deal with.
Xi Yan had only been lecturing for the sake of the policies.
After all, she was quite worried for her students. Things have been slowing down since the past few days of straight lectures.
As Yao Tang had suggested an alternative, she decided to give it a go.
“I’ll discuss it with the other teachers and see how the classes will be arranged.”
She nodded.
The students in her class were far more important. They have already grown so much since their last exam, and as long as she’d continue to curate lesson plans to their goals, then they’d be able to grow even further.
However, Yan Wei wasn’t pleased with the results of the vote.
When she heard that the rest of the class agreed with Yao Tang, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes from the incredulity of it all.
Even if she wasn’t listening to class, she knew that Xi Yan wasn’t a bad teacher. Wouldn’t it be more suitable for all of them if she just continued to discuss?
Why would they do a self-study instead?
Wouldn’t that weaken their knowledge?
Shouldn’t they listen to more lectures to further their resolve?
Her eyes flashed.
Huh.
This classroom was filled with different hooligans. They just wanted to use this class time to slack off! That was why they all agreed with her.
Their grades were already bad, and now, they wanted to slack off even more.
They were stupid!
“Teacher, shouldn’t you be asking our thoughts on this?” Yan Wei raised her hand.
“Okay.” Xi Yan was stunned. “Please speak.”
“Based on the class’s scores, should we not have more class lectures to improve our previous grades? With self-study, would there even be room for improvement? Wouldn’t you say that this allows more time to…slack off instead?”
Yan Wei’s tone was very confident.
However, the students in Class 20 didn’t like the way she was speaking. Everyone exploded with their own counterarguments and rebuttals.
“Who are you to say that about our class?”
“What right do you have?”
“Do you think our self-control is that bad? Just because you suck at controlling yourself, doesn’t mean that you have to lump us with you.”
“Right! What right do you have to say that about any one of us?”
When she heard that the students were voicing their approval, she couldn’t help but frown.
Despite this, Yan Wei simply ignored the other students and stared directly at Xi Yan.
