Chapter 1315 - 1255: Touring Adrian Desmond’s "Boudoir

"What does ’it’s mutual’ mean? I had a rough childhood, but I didn’t go hungry. You’re far worse off."

"Eating grass like a goat every day is starving to me. You had it worse; at least when I didn’t have rice, I had meat."

Adrian knew this woman lived a miserable life in the orphanage and even after adoption, she never really had good days.

"Vegetarian diet is good for health."

Adrian’s eyes swept over her chest and remarked, "If you had eaten more meat and drank milk as a child, that place might have grown larger."

Sienna followed Adrian’s gaze, looked down... and got angry. She wanted to throw something at him but couldn’t find anything suitable. Adrian helpfully placed an ashtray in Sienna’s hand.

"Adrian, you..."

"Go ahead, throw it. I won’t dodge."

With his fearless demeanor against scolding and hitting, Sienna couldn’t deal with this man.

"I’m hungry, go cook for me now!" Sienna ordered.

"Yes, Mrs. Desmond!"

Adrian checked the kitchen supplies, he hadn’t lived there for years, so many of the condiments were expired.

"All the seasonings have expired, we’ll have to settle for boiled dishes," Adrian told Sienna.

"Alright, good."

While Adrian was cooking, Sienna surveyed the place.

It was very simple, with yellowing maps on the walls marked and drawn on, the handwriting was Adrian’s. There was also a photo of a seductive beauty.

Sienna’s gaze stopped on the photo, and she spoke softly, "Adrian, you used to like this type of woman, huh."

Sienna knew girls liked to post pictures of their favorite male celebrities in their rooms; surely, this beauty was someone Adrian liked back then.

Deep-set features, large eyes, high nose bridge, a chest that was twice Sienna’s size, and that... Sienna’s heart burned with jealousy as she looked.

"She was the last person I killed during my final mission on Death Island!" Adrian glanced at the photo and said lightly.

"She’s pretty, can you bear it?" Sienna asked deliberately.

"I’ve already killed her!"

"Since you could kill her, why keep her photo here..."

Adrian turned to Sienna, sniffed, and commented, "Can’t you smell the strong scent of jealousy here?"

"Who’s jealous?" Sienna detected the implication in his words, teasing her for being jealous.

Adrian turned, crossed his arms, and looked at the woman’s picture, saying, "Her chest is much bigger than yours, and her backside is quite shapely..."

"She looks like she’s all chest and no brains, your taste..."

"You’re jealous!"

"Adrian!" The ashtray Sienna had been hesitant to throw finally flew out.

Adrian caught it steadily and laughed, "Just admit you’re jealous, I won’t laugh at you."

"You won’t laugh at me, but you’re crying now?"

"Happy laughter, not mocking laughter."

To demonstrate his "innocence," Adrian walked over, tore down the woman’s photo from the wall, ripped it into pieces, and tossed them in the trash.

"Satisfied now?"

"Hmph!"

"You’re really big on jealousy."

Sienna squinted her eyes, retorting, "When we get back, I’ll hang Noah’s picture in the bedroom."

"Don’t you dare!" Adrian glared at Sienna, his eyes filled with anger; Noah was the thorn in his heart.

"Oh dear, Sixth Master’s jealousy is just as big."

"Fine, fine, I’m outmatched by you."

Sienna took the chance to warn Adrian, "If you dare to be unkind, I’ll be ruthless!"

"I wouldn’t dare! Absolutely not!"

Sienna was skilled at giving both a smack and a sweet treat; she beckoned, pulling Adrian close, hugged his neck, and gave him a long kiss.

"Be good, here’s your candy."

Adrian: ...

Adrian went to cook for Sienna. She had slept for so long, only eating a few berries, so naturally, Adrian felt for her.

"How did you find this place?" Sienna asked curiously.

"Once during a mission, I got injured and fell into the sea, being washed ashore on this island by the waves. While chasing a lizard, I found this place."

"I later investigated, this used to be the Westoria Military Base, during the Himakati War, it was a supply post for Westoria Military. When I discovered it, the place was littered with various weapons and bombs."

"Why were you chasing a lizard?"

"To eat."

"Lizards can be eaten?" Sienna asked in shock, feeling Adrian constantly shattered her understanding.

"When you’re hungry, you can eat anything. When we get to Kalare, you’ll understand."

Adrian peeled the snake, first slicing open the soft underbelly, then started from the head to strip the entire skin off.

"I’m not eating snake meat!"

"There’s also chicken to eat."

Adrian cleaned the snake meat, cut it into sections, placed it in the pot to boil, put the lid on, then proceeded to handle the chicken.

Sienna sat alone, feeling bored, so she got up and hopped around on one leg, looking here and there.

This place seemed untouched for a long time, a thin layer of dust covering everything. Sienna hopped into a bedroom cum study.

She saw photos on the wall, pictures of a girl who seemed just teenage, blooming with beauty, Adrian’s sister, Paige.

However, there were few pictures of the siblings together, mostly just Paige alone.

"Sienna, time to eat."

"Oh, coming."

Sienna hopped out of the room like a bunny.

"I told you to stay put, why are you hopping around? Your leg doesn’t hurt anymore?"

"Bored, so I came to see the place you lived. You have many photos of Paige in your room, why so few of you together?"

"Paige and I rarely met; those are taken by bodyguards I sent to protect her."

"I see."

Adrian brought out boiled snake meat and boiled chicken. As the seasonings had expired, only salt was used.

The table and chairs had been wiped clean, Sienna sat down and eyed the boiled chicken, so greasy yet it seemed fragrant due to hunger.

Adrian handed her a chicken leg to nibble, and suddenly leaned in to whisper in her ear, "I see you’re digging into my past... alas, you’ll be disappointed, I have none."

"No past? What about Melanie Carpenter?"

"That doesn’t count!"

"Let’s write off the past, you must remember from now on, you’re a man with a wife and child, absolutely no fooling around!"
