The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1289 - 1229: Bloody Night
Kiya had been patiently listening for half an hour when they finally finished talking, and then everyone looked at Kiya with expressions of anticipation.
Kiya felt a bit awkward being gazed at in that way, coughed lightly, and said, "I understand everything you’ve said."
"Sultan, may I ask what we should do now?" Byron looked at Kiya as if Kiya were a savior here to rescue them.
"Tomorrow morning I need to hold a press conference to tell everyone that I am still alive. At that time, I need you all to be a witness for me."
Everyone present was highly respected, people whose words carried weight. With their involvement, things were bound to proceed more smoothly.
"We’ll take care of it as soon as we get back."
Actually, tomorrow morning is a bit rushed. Byron thought that the longer you wait in such matters, the more vulnerable you’d be, so the sooner the better.
Kiya also explained some detailed issues, and everyone promised time and again to be loyal to Kiya until finally dispersing.
Adrian was very cautious and had bodyguards sent from Marion to secretly protect and also monitor those people.
Kiya was their trump card, and before playing it, they couldn’t let the card be exposed.
"When do we take action?" Adrian asked.
"Tonight!" Kiya replied.
Adrian looked at Kiya, surprised by his urgency, "Isn’t that a bit hasty?"
Kiya said, "I trust you!"
Actually, it mostly depended on Adrian’s military forces. The people who were called just now couldn’t match Adrian in terms of combat strength.
"Where does your confidence in me come from?"
Kiya explained, "Your armed forces can contend with Death Island; the Imperial Palace is not Death Island, it’s much easier to penetrate."
"What if Night Owl deploys Abyanabad’s army? ... We could fight head-on, but it’s an inter-communal fight among Abyanabad’s own people, which makes me somewhat reluctant."
"Night Owl can’t mobilize the army, only the Sultan can. Moore is dead, Night Owl doesn’t have any puppet anymore."
Hearing Kiya’s assured tone, Adrian felt reassured. He stood up and said, "I’ll go get ready, leave by three o’clock in the morning, you can take a rest."
"Okay."
Kiya was indeed tired and got up to leave the reception room for Paige’s residence, while Adrian led Marion to prepare.
...
In the study, Adrian looked at Sabrina, assigning her a special task alone.
Since Night Owl had sent him a "fake" Sienna Johnson, Adrian also decided to give Night Owl a gift, a fake Albin.
"Did you watch the entire video I gave you?" Adrian asked.
Those videos were all about Albin, which Adrian specifically collected for Sabrina to watch thoroughly.
Sabrina said excitedly, "Sixth Master, I watched it all, and I’ve studied the materials you gave me. That expressionless face and ’mute,’ they hardly make an impression, I can impersonate Albin without being discovered."
Albin was usually silent, always maintained a single expression, and was one of Night Owl’s people, which made Adrian choose Albin.
Such a person is easier to impersonate.
"Also, don’t underestimate it; keeping a single expression at all times is not easy for someone as expressive as you."
"Rest assured, Sixth Master, I will be careful."
Sabrina was deeply interested in the undercover work assigned to her, feeling proud that Adrian trusted her with such a job.
"You are the one I truly don’t feel at ease with."
Adrian looked at Sabrina, feeling uneasy, yet Sabrina was currently the most suitable person at Adrian’s side.
Sabrina’s height and face shape closely resembled Albin, but most importantly, Sabrina was ruthless enough, embodying Albin’s trait of "ruthlessness," capable of killing innocent people without hesitation.
"Sixth Master, I will be cautious and not impulsive," Sabrina promised Adrian.
"Remember, your main task is to find out where Sienna Johnson is hiding!"
"Yes!"
Entering Night Owl’s ranks through Sabrina was Adrian’s way of locating Sienna Johnson’s hiding place.
Albin was someone Night Owl trusted, impersonating Night Owl and staying by Night Owl’s side, eventually revealing Sienna Johnson’s location.
"During the action tonight, I’ll have people assassinate Albin! Follow them, once Albin is killed, disguise yourself as Albin.
Remember, don’t let anyone find out that Albin is dead!"
"Yes, Sixth Master!" Sabrina shifted from her usual cheerful demeanor to speak seriously.
"This matter must remain confidential, even Barnes must not be told."
Sabrina thinking Adrian suspected Mila was a traitor, hurriedly defended Barnes, "Mila is loyal to Sixth Master; she would never betray you."
"Being cautious never hurts!"
This was Adrian’s sole method for finding Sienna Johnson. If this didn’t work, Adrian wouldn’t know what else to do.
"Understood, Sixth Master."
"Go and prepare."
"Yes."
After Sabrina left, Marion and Brandon Potter came in; the two quickly finalized all preparations.
Brandon Potter said, "... A total of a thousand people are moving from the base to converge at the Imperial Palace within an hour."
"Make sure you remember the layout of the Imperial Palace.
Our target is Night Owl. Capture Night Owl, and you’ve achieved your mission." Adrian nodded, instructing.
Brandon Potter asked a question, "Sixth Master, how do we identify Night Owl’s people? What if we kill the wrong people?"
Looking at Brandon Potter, Adrian coldly said, "Some people must always be sacrificed!"
Marion chimed in, "You don’t need to worry too much about that issue. If they’re ordinary people, they’d hide in fear when we storm in; those who resist for sure are Night Owl’s men."
Brandon Potter responded, "Got it."
"Any other questions?" Adrian asked.
"None."
"Go and prepare!"
"Yes."
Adrian sat in the study, glanced at the time – two hours left – and closed his eyes briefly for rest and recuperation.
Though Kiya got to Paige’s room, he didn’t sleep either. He was covertly contacting his allies.
A coup was quietly underway, and when dawn breaks, Abyanabad’s citizens will discover their Sultan has returned.
...
Imperial Mausoleum,
Night Owl had new supplies delivered to Sienna Johnson: fruits, vegetables, grains, oil, and salt.
This time three men came, all adult males.
The men worked silently, expressionless, as if their souls had been drained. Within the tomb, this special place, Sienna Johnson felt her heart race.
Sienna Johnson spoke to them in Amwan Language, "Could you tell me what date it is today? What time is it? Is it daytime or night?"
Sienna Johnson was utterly confused.
