Chapter 82 - 82 Apologize
82 Apologize
“Is this what made you give up on your studies?” The calmer Shi Man acted, the more guilty Su Tang felt.
She looked away and nodded weakly, her tears falling like pearls. “I can’t let myself ruin you.”
It would be a lie to say that Shi Man was not moved.
Shi Man was used to seeing idiots backstabbing their friends just to save their lives. This was the first time she had seen a foolish person like Su Tang. She would rather sacrifice her future to protect a classmate who had nothing to do with her.
Clutching the phone, she walked up to Fang Han and looked down at her panic. “Who asked you to do this?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I found these photos online.” Fang Han denied it and crawled up to snatch the phone, but she was no match for Shi Man.
She easily avoided Fang Han’s hand and turned to look at Instructor Zhang. “We can trace the time at which the photos on this phone were taken. They can be used as evidence, but I can’t show them to you. Get a female instructor here.”
“Okay.” Zhang Cheng was dizzy from this farce. He was actually stunned by Shi Man’s aura and forgot that he was the instructor who led the students. Instead, he treated her words as an order and found one of the few female instructors in the army without a word.
On the way here, the female instructor had already heard Zhang Cheng tell her about what had happened. She immediately thought of school violence. So much effort had been made to pull her in as a witness, so it must be that the photos could not be made public.
She knew what to do. She walked up to Shi Man and introduced herself seriously. “My name is Yu Ying. I’ve been an instructor in the army for five years. You can trust me.”
Shi Man turned her head to look at Su Tang. After receiving her confirmation, she handed the phone to Yu Ying.
At first glance, Yu Ying was so angry that she almost threw the phone when she saw the girl in the photo being pressed to the ground and stripped of her clothes. She barely held back her anger and panted as she looked at the surrounding students. “Whose phone is this? Who took these messy photos!”
“Instructor Yu, you don’t have to worry about the rest.” Shi Man took back her phone and looked straight at Yi Zheng. “After watching the commotion for so long, I don’t need to explain the ins and outs again, right?”
Yi Zheng retracted his gaze indifferently. The smile on his lips deepened, and even his eyes were filled with dense joy. “There’s no need. Since we’ve caught them red-handed, we’ll hand them over to the president of the Student Union to bring back to school to deal with.”
Seeing that the two of them were about to convict her, Fang Han immediately roared indignantly, “Why did you take my phone? Aren’t you going to pursue the matter of Shi Man stealing the bracelet?”
Song Zhi did not understand what Shi Man meant. Seeing that her good friend was suddenly involved, she was a little anxious. “Cousin, what’s going on? What photo? And what does this have to do with Fang Han?”
At this point, anyone with a discerning eye could actually tell who was right and who was wrong, but there would always be someone like Song Zhi who wanted to grab hold of Shi Man and not let her go. She had to distinguish the matter clearly before she was willing to stop.
Yi Zheng had not looked at Song Zhi from the beginning to the end. When he heard her question, he could not be bothered to look at her. His cold eyes landed on Su Tang and he said calmly, “Explain.”
Su Tang nodded and obediently recounted what had happened yesterday. Just as she was about to mention Shi Jing, she was suddenly interrupted by Fang Han. “Enough! I did it, okay?! I picked up the bracelet. I knew that it belonged to Song Zhi at that time, so I thought of this. I did it alone.”
Su Tang opened her mouth speechlessly. When she saw Shi Man’s cold expression, she slowly shut her mouth and did not say anything else.
For Fang Han to take all the responsibility at this moment, Shi Jing might have had something on her. Moreover, from the beginning to the end, Shi Jing could only be considered an accomplice. Even if she said it, she would probably have a way to quibble.
In the end, Shi Jing was Shi Man’s sister. She should not talk too much at this time and involve another person.
It was not until she heard with her own ears that Fang Han had done so much that Song Zhi suddenly understood. After glaring at her resentfully, she waved her hand in annoyance. “Forget it, I won’t pursue the matter of the bracelet. Let’s end this matter here.”
“I’m afraid it’s not up to Miss Song Zhi now.” After Shi Mu heard Su Tang’s words, he instructed the members of the Student Union to bring Fang Han back to the office. Then, he looked at Yi Zheng and said angrily, “There should be an explanation for your cousin criticizing my sister in public, right?”
Everyone originally thought that Yi Zheng would protect Song Zhi, but they did not expect him to leave the rock climbing venue as if it had nothing to do with him with a cold sentence. “Do whatever you want.”
Song Zhi thought that victory was in her hands this time and that Shi Man would be in the wrong for once. Unexpectedly, she became the target of public criticism again. Her eyes immediately turned red from grievance. In front of the entire grade, she said “I’m sorry” aggrievedly, and covered her face as she ran back to the dormitory.
