The Big-Shot is Pampered after She Becomes the Villainness

Chapter 114 - 114 Getting Close

114 Getting Close

“Are you coming out yourself, or should I go over and catch you myself?” Shi Man stopped in her tracks and turned her head slightly to look behind her.

Bai Yao knew that she had been discovered, but she did not look embarrassed at all. She slowly walked out from behind the tree and walked towards her with a sweet smile. “Sister Shi Man, don’t be angry. I’m just curious about how Sister Shi Man became prettier.”

Shi Man looked up at her in confusion but her eyes were calm.

It was strange. Su Tang would smile at her so sweetly and she felt that the other party was innocent and beautiful, but she was inexplicably uncomfortable when the girl in front of her smiled at her.

Seeing that Shi Man did not answer her, Bai Yao was not upset. She walked to her side and consciously maintained a distance between them as she walked slowly. “Sister Shi Man, Shi Jing is still in our class. Do you know that?”

“It has nothing to do with me.” Shi Man did not expect Shi Jing to drop out of school and leave. With her personality, she must have insisted on staying in Cassel Academy and refused to leave.

Bai Yao leaned closer intimately and carefully observed her expression. She did not see any disgust on her face before saying mysteriously, “I know she did something very overboard to Sister. Do you want me to help Sister teach her a lesson?”

From the corner of her eye, Shi Man saw the indignation on the girl’s face, as if she shared a common enemy with her. She immediately sneered and said, “No need.”

Bai Yao pretended to be relaxed and stood up straight. She placed her hands behind her back and walked leisurely with a sweet smile on her face. “Sister is so kind. If it were me, I wouldn’t let go of my enemy so easily.”

“What you’re saying doesn’t match your innocent persona.” Shi Man glanced at her from the corner of her eye, her tone teasing.

Bai Yao heard the change in her and immediately smiled. “Pure doesn’t mean that you’ll be at the mercy of others. I like to be straightforward. Sister, don’t mind me.”

Shi Man had endured the way she addressed her. At this moment, she finally couldn’t help but frown. “I’m not your sister. You and I should be the same age. You don’t have to be so humble.”

Bai Yao did not expect the expression of the person who was still friendly to her to suddenly change. She stood rooted to the ground and forgot to react.

When she looked up, she saw that Shi Man was already smiling at her. Her voice had returned to its usual coldness. “I like to be straightforward too. Don’t mind me.”

Bai Yao suddenly had nothing to say. After a while, she realized that she had been tricked. She couldn’t help but shake her head and laugh. She quickly ran to her side and continued to talk to her.

Su Tang had been sitting in the classroom for a while, but Shi Man had not returned. She was about to call her worriedly.

The last time she went out to eat, the gunfight on the way back frightened her. She knew that Shi Man was capable, but she could not help but be afraid for her.

Just as she picked up the phone and was about to dial, Su Tang suddenly heard a hearty laugh outside the window. She couldn’t help but look out and see a girl in a white dress beside Shi Man. The two of them seemed to chat happily as they walked into the teaching building.

“Hey, did you hear? Bai Yao from Class C seems to have become friends with Shi Man!”

“Huh? The two of them didn’t have any interaction before. Who did you hear it from?”

“Didn’t you see the two of them walk into the teaching building together just now? I even heard that Yi Zheng actually had physical contact with a girl for the first time in public at the last gala. This person was Bai Yao!”

“What shocking news is this? Can Bai Yao and Shi Man really get along peacefully? Aren’t rivals in love especially jealous when they meet?”

The windows and classroom were filled with discussions about their relationship.

When Su Tang heard the rumors about Bai Yao and Yi Zheng, her heart skipped a beat. She subconsciously wanted to tell Shi Man about this, but when she saw that Bai Yao had personally sent Shi Man back to the classroom, this thought inexplicably dissipated.

Shi Man did not say goodbye to Bai Yao. In her heart, Bai Yao was far from a friend. She was just a young girl with ulterior motives.

Returning to her seat, she looked strangely at Su Tang, who was still in a daze by the window, and asked with a frown, “What are you thinking about? Why didn’t you give me yesterday’s notes?”

“Ah, I forgot.” Su Tang hid the disappointment in her eyes and placed the notes from yesterday on her table before sitting down gloomily.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Shi Man sensed her abnormality. This person was always enthusiastic in front of her. Why was she so listless after not seeing her for only one afternoon?

Could it be that someone bullied her in the afternoon?

“Nothing.” Su Tang pretended to shake her head. The corners of her mouth curled up into an ugly smile. “I’m fine. Don’t ask.”

“Alright, you’ll say what you want to say anyway.” Shi Man opened the notebook and looked at it. She actually didn’t seem to care why she was depressed.

Su Tang bit her lower lip and pulled off a large portion of her watery nails. Then, she made up her mind and suddenly asked, “Are you and Bai Yao… good friends too?”
