A delicate woman’s voice came from inside the military tent, accompanied by soft panting.

The old gang leader found the voice somewhat familiar, and he couldn’t help but wonder, how could there be a woman in the military camp? As far as he knew, aside from Feng Luo, there shouldn’t be any other women here, right?

No, there are a few, but those are just old ladies, the wives of local fishermen who come daily to the camp to collect leftovers.

The old gang leader couldn’t help but turn his head to glance inside the tent. The Prince wouldn’t really have such a peculiar taste, right? Even indulging in desires with old ladies?

The sound made the old gang leader want to swear. He scooped his ears, such flirtatious sounds, anyone unfamiliar would think the Prince had brought in someone from the Yihong House to relieve his loneliness!

Soon, the sound of rustling clothes came from inside. The old gang leader cleared his throat and shouted towards the inside, "Old Huang from the Beggar Gang requests to see the Prince."

After waiting for a moment, the Prince’s voice came from inside, "Come in."

When the old gang leader entered, the amorous atmosphere inside hadn’t yet dissipated, "Greetings, Prince."

He cupped his hands in a salute, but his gaze kept darting around the room, only to find no woman but a fair-skinned, beautiful... man?

The old gang leader felt a jolt inside—he had clearly heard a woman’s voice just now, why was there only a man standing here?

Amidst his confusion, he turned to look again, and what he saw gave him an even greater shock.

The man’s face was flushed, appearing more bashful under the lamplight, and the old gang leader suddenly realized something. He chuckled, rubbing his chin, and said to the Prince, "Prince, you truly are refined and have such enjoyable leisure, yet you’ve called in this old beggar to witness it, I’m truly overwhelmed."

The Prince did not look pleased, and though his cold gaze was on the old gang leader, his words were directed at Ru Xue, "Then you should leave first."

"Yes."

"Wait." Just as Ru Xue was about to leave, the old gang leader stepped forward to stop her. She smiled sweetly and said, "If I’m not mistaken, this must be the Princess, right?"

Ru Xue glanced at the Prince, seeing his sullen face and that the lust in his eyes had long disappeared, she knew he was angry with the old gang leader. She cleared her throat gently, "Old gang leader, you’ve got the wrong person."

"Ah, how could I mistake someone? I’ve had several encounters with the Princess, I wouldn’t get it wrong, I wouldn’t get it wrong."

The old gang leader chuckled, rubbing his chin, "I still remember the Princess coming to our Beggar Gang several times searching for Mr. Chu, once in plain clothes, how could I mistake that."

Upon hearing this, the Prince’s expression grew harsher, as Ru Xue seethed with anger inside—this damn old fool was obviously doing this on purpose!

She cleared her throat gently, seeing that there was no way to avoid it, she simply admitted it. She, Ru Xue, was the current Princess He Shuo, not some unspeakable stray. What was there to be ashamed of?

Thinking of this, Ru Xue smiled lightly, "Old gang leader, you certainly have a keen eye. Even dressed like this, you could still recognize me."

"It’s not about having sharp eyes, but that the Princess’s extraordinary looks are unforgettable."

Ru Xue pursed her lips, feeling a slight chill coming from behind, realizing the Prince was genuinely angry. She smiled slightly and said, "I came to see the Prince. Now that I’ve seen him, it’s time for me to go. Old gang leader, it seems like you and the Prince have things to discuss. Take your time, I’ll take my leave first."

With that, Ru Xue walked out.

This time, the old gang leader did not stop her, as Ru Xue had already admitted to being the Princess, he had achieved his goal.

And now, looking at the Prince’s face that was as cold as ice, he achieved a double impact, a double success.

The old gang leader wasn’t polite with the Prince either, directly sitting on a chair beside him. He smiled and said, "Prince, I noticed you don’t look well? Are you alright?"

The Prince stared coldly at him, "Do I look like I’m alright to you?"

"Having just been intimate, yet looking so unhappy, could it be that the Princess didn’t satisfy your needs?"

The old gang leader clicked his tongue, "Even while out on a campaign, the Prince must take care of his health, don’t overindulge, or it won’t be good if you harm yourself."

The Prince coughed lightly, unsure if it was to cover his embarrassment or if he was truly choked by the old gang leader’s words. He pursed his lips tightly and glared at the old gang leader, changing the subject, "Aren’t you going to give me an explanation for today’s events?"

The old gang leader shrugged, "What’s to explain? It’s exactly what you saw. I did reach Gourd Island and found the location of the Time-Space Gate."

"Bang!" The Prince slammed his hand on the table, standing up abruptly, glaring at the old gang leader in anger, "Old Gang Leader Huang! Was the disaster from fifteen years ago not etched deeply enough in your mind?"

He angrily walked up to the old gang leader, pointing outside, he rebuked, "Do I need to tell you what happened back then was more clear to you than to me? Do I need to inform you personally whose fault it was for the outcome back then? Do you want those events to happen again?"

The old gang leader sighed; he knew the Prince was worried about the tragedy repeating itself.

He shook his head gently, "The problem you’re describing, I’ve also doubted, but there simply isn’t a choice now!"

"No choice?" The Prince sneered, "That Chu Ge, he’s from the same place as Wei Yongxiang, isn’t he? Do you really believe he’s not another Wei Yongxiang?"

"He’s not in league with Wei Yongxiang."

"Even if not allied, can you guarantee he’s not just as ambitious? Old gang leader, wake up. If he has no ambitions, why come to us? Why us of all places!"

As the saying goes, once bitten by a snake, you’re scared of ropes for ten years. Having been hurt once, it’s not easy for the Prince to trust Chu Ge now.

The old gang leader stood up, "I understand the Prince’s concerns. When I discovered Chu Ge’s presence here, I, like you, was worried, so I didn’t rush to take any action but observed quietly."

"Observed quietly?" The Prince frowned, remembering hearing about the old gang leader’s long trip some time ago and that Chu Ge had returned with him. Could it be that during that time the old gang leader was observing Chu Ge?

"From my observations, Chu Ge doesn’t seem to be a person with ambitions like Wei Yongxiang. Chu Ge ended up here because Wei Yongxiang created chaos elsewhere leading to a disruption in time-space, and Chu Ge was unintentionally dragged in."
