After sending the little beggar away, Chu Ge stretched his muscles. Since arriving in this time space, he hasn’t missed his daily morning exercise, though he drank quite heavily last night and got up late today.

But he felt he needed to work out a bit, otherwise taking a break for a day would make it hard to pick up the routine the next day.

"Yo, little brother, you’re up quite early." The Old Gang Leader walked in with a smiling face.

He was holding a porcelain teapot, with steam coming out of the spout.

Chu Ge finished his exercises and said with a smile, "Old Gang Leader, you’re joking, it’s almost noon now, wouldn’t call it early, I got up late."

He glanced at the Old Gang Leader and found that his face showed no signs of a hangover, which surprised him.

"Old Gang Leader looks quite spirited, doesn’t seem like he was hungover last night at all."

The Old Gang Leader waved his hand and laughed twice, pointing at the teapot in his hand, "The reason I look fine is because I drank this!"

"What’s this?"

"It’s hangover tea."

The Old Gang Leader walked to the pavilion, took out a teacup, poured a cup, and handed it to Chu Ge, saying, "Have a taste, drink it and your head won’t hurt."

Chu Ge didn’t hold back, directly accepted it and drank it down. Although called tea, it lacked the taste of tea and instead had a fragrance of bamboo leaves.

He was puzzled, wondering if this might be Bamboo Leaf Green Tea?

But it didn’t quite taste like it.

"Old Gang Leader, what kind of tea is this?" Chu Ge asked curiously.

The Old Gang Leader looked at him with a smile, "Haven’t tasted it before, have you? This tea, you definitely haven’t tasted outside, it’s specially brewed by me, not available elsewhere."

"You brewed the tea leaves yourself?" Chu Ge asked, puzzled.

The Old Gang Leader nodded, "I like drinking, but this alcohol is poison running through the intestines, drink too much often leads to trouble, so I wondered if there could be something to help sober up quickly. Then I brewed this thing."

Chu Ge admired the Old Gang Leader, gave him a thumbs up, "Truly admirable."

In order to cater to his needs, he created a new kind of tea himself—that’s truly the Old Gang Leader’s style.

In the past, when he drank with others, he expelled the alcohol using True Qi to achieve sobriety, but missed out on the post-drinking sensation in the body.

People not only enjoy the thrill of drinking but also the sensation of strong alcohol burning in the body like flames afterward!

However, as the saying goes, drinking is enjoyable for the moment, drinking continuously remains enjoyable, but no pleasure can compare to the pain of a hangover the next day, that’s really uncomfortable.

He is experiencing it now.

Suddenly, Chu Ge noticed something—he felt better than before, unsure if it’s the Old Gang Leader’s tea that worked, or the exercise and sweat earlier.

"Old Gang Leader, is the tea’s recipe your exclusive secret?" Chu Ge asked curiously.

There was a mischievous glint in his eye.

"What do you mean?" The Old Gang Leader studied him, soon realizing, "You, kid, are you thinking of taking my recipe away?"

Chu Ge coughed lightly, he didn’t conceal his intention, just nodded, "I really am thinking about it, just wonder if the Old Gang Leader is willing to part with it."

"Oh, no pain in parting, it’s not some exclusive technique, just tea brewing."

The Old Gang Leader waved his hand, then sat down and poured himself a cup.

He put down the teapot and picked up the teacup, took a light sip, "You drank too quickly earlier, couldn’t taste what’s in it? Here, have another cup, sip slowly this time, taste what’s inside."

Chu Ge realized the Old Gang Leader wanted to test him.

He poured himself a cup then sniffed it at the tip of his nose, the fragrance was faint, bringing a serene feeling, and he could vaguely smell a familiar scent.

It’s Pueraria flower!

"Did you add Pueraria flower?" Chu Ge said softly.

The Old Gang Leader nodded, "You’re indeed knowledgeable about medicine, can tell just by the smell, yes, it indeed has Pueraria flower."

Chu Ge smiled, recalling how the old man at home used to brew water with Pueraria flower while drinking, although back then he wasn’t interested in alcohol and never got drunk, even if drunk, never used such foreign medicine for sobering.

So he didn’t pay attention to this knowledge, now realizing it was youthful ignorance.

As they conversed about tea suddenly an urgent voice came from outside.

"Old Gang Leader, Old Gang Leader, something’s wrong!" A little beggar rushed in, panting, "Old Gang Leader, something’s wrong!"

The Old Gang Leader turned to the newcomer, "What’s wrong? Why are you flustered, what major incident happened? Don’t tell me the sky is falling?"

"The sky isn’t falling, but people are fighting."

The little beggar said embarrassedly.

"Fighting? Who’s fighting?"

"It’s Miss Feng Luo, she’s fighting with someone." The little beggar caught his breath and continued, "Boss Luo and Elder Jiu aren’t present, so we can only come to you."

"Who’s Feng Luo fighting with?" The Old Gang Leader relaxed hearing it was Feng Luo fighting, knowing she wouldn’t suffer losses, usually others suffer.

"Old Gang Leader, why aren’t you moving? If late, Miss Feng Luo will suffer losses." The little beggar saw the Old Gang Leader sitting there unmoving, couldn’t help but urge.

"Why are you anxious? When have you seen our girl suffer losses? She always bullies others. Let it be, let her fight, anyway, after today finding someone to fight will be hard."

The little beggar heard, almost ready to cry, "But this time it’s different, Miss Feng Luo’s opponent is the sister of Prince He Shuo, the current Emperor’s niece, Princess Liu Li!"

The Old Gang Leader promptly stood up, shocked, "What did you say? Just now, who did you say?"

"It...it’s Princess Liu Li." The little beggar was about to cry without tears, "Old Gang Leader, please go see, a bunch of Jinyi Guards are surrounding Miss Feng Luo, considering her mediocre skills you know, only the gang brothers let her be, if she fights with those Jinyi Guards, it’s Miss Feng Luo who’ll suffer."

"Why didn’t you say earlier!" The Old Gang Leader slapped the little beggar’s head, "Next time such things happen, speak straightforwardly!"

He hadn’t spoken straightforwardly yet! The little beggar felt wronged.

"Why are you still standing there? Lead the way!"
