“Perfect, glad you’re on board. Now the Glyph will be placed inside your Mind-Node, the space responsible for your vessel’s calculation framework as well as Will generation.”

Lena shifts onto the bed.

“Close your eyes.” Her voice softened slightly. “We’re going to guide your consciousness inward. This technique will let you move through your Vessel as though you’re physically inside it.”

Aster sighs, before shrugging and leaning back against the wall, closing his eyes.

“First,” Lena says, scooting closer, “we need to enter through your Mind Palace. It’s like entering your Stomach Dantean, but instead of your stomach, it’s in your head, specifically near the third eye. Focus your Will. Look for the entrance.”

His breathing slows as Lena guides his awareness inward.

He feels it almost immediately, a strange internal pressure sitting behind his thoughts like a membrane stretched across empty space.

His Will brushes against it carefully.

The barrier parts.

And suddenly he is falling inward through himself.

The sensation stabilizes a moment later as he opens his eyes.

Or whatever equivalent passes for eyes here.

His Spirit Self stands barefoot within darkness.

Not quite a soul.

Not quite a body.

A humanoid construct formed from Will and self-perception.

Unfortunately, naked.

Because of course he is.

The universe apparently remained committed to humiliating him across all metaphysical dimensions equally.

Beneath him stretches the architecture of his Vessel.

Endless Meridian pathways glow beneath translucent ground like illuminated circuitry running through an organic machine. Massive Gates tower in the distance along the spinal axis like colossal rotating mechanisms built from elemental geometry. Rivers of pale Spirit Aether flow through branching channels overhead.

It felt less like entering his body and more like trespassing through the maintenance tunnels of something ancient that had mistaken itself for a person.

“…I have become my own municipal infrastructure.”

“Aster,” Lena’s voice echoed through the space around him, strangely clear despite having no obvious source. “Try to locate your Mind Node.”

Aster frowned, turning slowly as luminous channels stretched endlessly around him.

“You entered through its position,” she continued. “So, the technique should have sent your consciousness there first.”

“Then why do I feel nowhere near it?”

A brief pause.

“I’m not sure, something must have dragged you off course, you seem to be somewhere North of the Stomach Palace, you’ll need to travel there yourself.”

His Spirit Self moves when he thinks about movement.

Like a cursor gliding through layered systems.

Distance inside the Vessel doesn’t behave properly.

Some structures feel impossibly far away until he focuses on them—then suddenly they loom overhead in suffocating detail. Meridian channels branch endlessly beneath translucent layers of glowing tissue-like geometry.

And threaded through all of it—

Runic execution.

Tiny reflexive pulses firing constantly through the Vessel like background processes running beneath conscious awareness.

Breathing patterns.

Balance corrections.

Heartbeat synchronization.

The body operating itself.

Aster glides past Meridian pathways channelling Spirit Aether as it flows through it in pale streams of silver-white light, carrying shifting runic particles that dissolve and reform continuously like living syntax.

The flowing pathways begin converging inward toward a colossal geometric structure suspended in darkness.

At first he thinks it’s the Mind Node.

Then he realizes the scale is wrong.

The Vessel’s infrastructure doesn’t surround it.

It bends around it.

The Meridian systems stretching through the darkness no longer resemble vast infrastructure next to it, but small streams avoiding a mountain range. The glowing channels, the rotating Nodes, the flowing rivers of Spirit Aether—all of it shrinks into the shape of districts surrounding something ancient enough to redefine scale itself.

Vast pillars disappear upward into drifting storms of Spirit Aether so high above the Palace that the upper reaches vanish completely into darkness. The lower foundation descends even deeper, buried beneath endless layers of Meridian systems and recursive scriptwork like roots driven through the corpse of a world.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Entire sections of his internal architecture have been built outward from it, layered around it like fragile scaffolding erected beside an ancient monument.

Every major Meridian artery curves inward toward the structure before redirecting outward again, as though the entire Vessel has been forced to grow around the temple like flesh healing around a blade too large to remove.

Immense chains of runic architecture descend from each of his gates directly into the deeper temple beneath them, feeding into the colossal structure at the centre like support pillars holding shut the mouth of something buried underground.

Whenever the surrounding Scripture drifts too close to the obsidian walls, the runic patterns distort subtly before rerouting themselves away again like frightened organisms avoiding a predator’s shadow.

Suddenly his Vessel doesn’t look like cultivation infrastructure anymore.

It looks engineered.

Deliberate.

Like Matter didn’t simply save his life.

He rebuilt it around the Chrysalis.

Aster stops moving and just stares upward at the rotating script.

Because he knows immediately what he’s looking at.

“Nope.”

His voice comes out thin.

Controlled.

The tone of a man discovering his internal organs contain geopolitical problems.

“We are aggressively not unpacking the eldritch super-prison underneath my chest today.”

The colossal temple pulses again as Aster promptly turns away from it and starts heading northwards in search of the Mind Node.

He finds it at what he assumes to be his head, hanging above the surrounding infrastructure like a suspended star.

Unlike the surrounding structures, this one resembles layered geometric rings rotating around a around a hollow central core of translucent light while pathways branch outward from it into the surrounding Vessel like nerve endings.

Information moved through it constantly.

Aster slows slightly as he approaches it.

The outer rings rotate slowly around the central core, each one inscribed with shifting runic pathways that continuously rearrange themselves depending on what part of the Vessel they connect to.

“The Glyph integration point is near the upper cognitive pathways,” Lena says. “Focus on the centre ring outside the empty node socket.”

Aster looks upward.

“…That’s where the Glyph goes?”

“Yes.”

“And what exactly happens if this goes wrong?”

There’s a brief pause.

“That depends on how wrong.”

Aster closes his eyes briefly.

“Fantastic answer. Very confidence inspiring.”

The space around the Mind Node begins shifting.

Soft green light unfurls through the darkness as Lena activates the grimoire externally.

Then the Prediction Glyph appears.

Not all at once.

It assembles itself gradually from spiralling lines of pale lightning and rotating geometric vectors unfolding through empty space.

The construct hovers above the Mind Node silently.

Aster stares upward.

Up close, the Glyph looks less like a spell and more like an abstract machine.

Thousands of tiny directional pathways branch outward from its core structure continuously, recalculating and collapsing into new projections every fraction of a second.

Cold probability wrapped around predatory instinct.

Lena’s voice filters through calmly.

“The Glyph has three primary systems.”

Aster keeps staring upward.

“The outer ring is the Static Sonar architecture,” Lena explains.

Aster watches the Glyph rotate slowly overhead.

“The inner lattice is the Prediction model itself.”

“The central lattice processes vector prediction and routes it instinctively through the scripture pathways throughout the vessel.”

Thin waves spread out from it into the surrounding darkness before rebounding back into the construct in tight recursive loops.

“…Right.”

Input.

Processing.

Prediction.

“Our first task is to recalibrate the Sonar field from Lightning Aether to your Will” Lena explains.

Aster glances toward the outer ring.

“The Glyph has to recognize your Will-domain as a valid substitute input source before it can start calibration with the other two layers.”

That sentence feels less like magic and more like configuring hardware drivers.

She explains the process carefully.

Aster raises a hand toward the Glyph.

His Will spreads outward from him in pale translucent ripples, expanding carefully through the surrounding space. The pressure field forms unevenly at first, unstable around the edges like interference moving through water.

The Glyph reacts instantly.

The outer sonar ring pulses brighter.

Tiny arcs of Lightning Aether branch outward automatically toward the incoming Will-field—

then destabilize.

The entire structure flickers violently.

Warning vectors branch across the inner lattice.

Lena’s voice sharpens.

“Reduce emotional interference.”

“…Excuse me?”

“Your Will is fluctuating too much.”

“My apologies. I’ll simply stop having a nervous system.”

“Focus.”

The Will-domain stabilizes slightly.

The pressure field spreads outward in smooth concentric distortions.

The sonar ring pulses again.

Lightning discharge spreads through the outer pathways—

hesitates—

then slowly reroutes.

Aster watches the runic architecture physically start rearranging itself.

Sections of the outer ring rotate inward mechanically while branching pathways disconnect and reconnect through adjacent structures.

Tiny vectors flare across the construct.

The Glyph interpreting compatibility conditions through executable logic.

The Lightning pathways dim gradually as his Will-field takes their place.

The surrounding darkness shifts subtly.

Aster suddenly feels the surrounding space outside his vessel.

Small sonar description of the room and the people in it, him, Lena and the Nurse.

“Static replacement successful.”

The words sound clinical.

Like two engineers observing reactor stabilization.

“The Prediction lattice is now recognizing your Will-domain as viable environmental feedback.”

The outer rings surrounding the massive structure begin rotating faster, interlocking layers shifting position with enormous mechanical precision. Pathways illuminate one after another through the surrounding infrastructure.

The Glyph lowers slowly toward the centre ring.

As it descends, the surrounding pathways begin unfolding from the Mind Node itself—thin geometric conduits extending upward toward the construct like automated docking arms.

Connection points.

Synchronization channels.

Assimilation infrastructure.

The Glyph pauses above the centre ring.

Then the first contact locks into place.

A violent pressure spike slams through the Mind Palace.

Aster nearly doubles over.

Not pain exactly.

Information.

The sensation of foreign execution logic colliding against existing cognitive pathways.

The Mind Node reacts immediately.

Defensive pathways illuminate across the structure.

Rejection reflex.

The Vessel identifying foreign architecture.

Lena’s voice cuts through instantly.

“Don’t resist.”

Easy for her to say.

The pressure intensifies.

The Node begins pushing against the Glyph mechanically, rotating pathways attempting to isolate the foreign structure before integration completes.

His Vessel straining against the modification.

Structural panic.

The Glyph responds by unfolding additional vectors through the surrounding pathways.

Prediction models branch rapidly through the Node searching for viable integration routes.

The whole process resembles hostile software forcing compatibility through a living nervous system.

“Aster,” Lena says sharply. “Stabilize your Will.”

Right.

Right.

He forces himself to focus.

The Will-domain expands outward again through the surrounding structure.

The pressure field smooths.

The Prediction lattice begin synchronizing against the rhythm of his projected Will instead of fighting the Node directly.

Recalibration.

The rejection pressure weakens slightly.

Then the Glyph rotates.

Deliberately.

Searching.

Hundreds of branching vectors calculate compatibility pathways through the Mind Node in real time before finally—

locking.

The centre ring flashes white.

The entire structure shudders.

The Glyph settles into the Node like a component sliding into completed infrastructure.

And suddenly the pressure disappears.

The surrounding pathways reconnect themselves automatically.

New channels branch outward through the Mind Node.

Prediction routing.

Instinct sequencing.

Vector processing.

Aster feels the change immediately.

The space around him suddenly feels measurable.

Every movement creates tension gradients through the Will-domain automatically.

Trajectory suggestions flicker at the edges of instinct before conscious thought catches up.

The Mind Node hums softly around the newly installed architecture.

Reactor online.

System integrated.
