The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife
Chapter 759: Mr. Xu, has the little princess gotten up yet?
"Thank you, Dad."
Xu Yisen took out his wallet from his pocket, then retrieved a gold card from it and handed it to Tiaotiao, reminding, "When you go out on a date with your mom, it’s not just about treating her to dinner and a movie; you also need to take her shopping. If she sees clothes, bags, or jewelry she likes, just buy them for her."
"Okay, thank you, Dad. You’re the best."
"Heh, you little rascal, go to bed early."
"Alright, goodnight, Dad."
Before returning to his room, Tiaotiao excitedly leaned in front of Xu Yisen, gave him a light kiss on his cheek, then happily left the study to go to sleep.
The next morning, Xu Tiaotiao got up early to brush his teeth and wash his face, styled his hair, and then went to the wardrobe to choose a little suit to put on.
Once he was ready, he happily scampered to the door of Qin Muni and Xu Yisen’s room and knocked.
It was Xu Yisen who opened the door. Seeing his son in a suit and tie outside, he was slightly stunned, instinctively wanting to ask why he dressed like this so early in the morning, then suddenly remembered that the kid seemed to be going on a date with his wife today.
"Mr. Xu, is the little princess up?"
"...!"
Wow, not even calling me Dad today? You’ve got some nerve!
Qin Muni naturally heard Tiaotiao’s words too, but her attention was all on that ’little princess’ phrase, thinking... sons are indeed adorable; calling her little princess right away, how happy it makes her to hear it.
She walked to the door, crouched down, and gave Tiaotiao a gentle kiss on the forehead, "Morning, Tiaotiao. Did you sleep well last night?"
"Little princess, today you can’t call me Tiaotiao, you must call me Zi Xian."
"Alright, Zi Xian."
Xu Yisen: "...!"
Ever since Xu Tiaotiao was in Qin Muni’s womb, she vowed to raise her son to be a gentleman, a warm man, definitely not like his father Xu Yisen, who is like an iceberg.
Xu Tiaotiao did not disappoint his mother, and on this day when he was dating Qin Muni, he displayed his gentlemanly qualities to the fullest.
He would open the house door for Qin Muni, open the car door, pull out the chair for her at the restaurant, proactively pay the bill, let her choose the movie when going to see one, and when shopping, seeing Qin Muni wavering between buying the red or black high heels, he took out the card Xu Yisen gave him and generously told the staff, "I’ll take both pairs."
Qin Muni watched her extravagant son, amused yet helpless, noting he indeed had some of Xu Yisen’s demeanor.
Tiaotiao enjoyed his day of dating with his mother greatly, and upon returning home, said he wanted to go on another date with her next time.
Before Qin Muni could agree, Xu Yisen pulled his wife behind him, looking at Tiaotiao with a wary face, saying, "Better to date that little girl in your kindergarten, my wife can only date me."
As with previous times, Xu Tiaotiao pouted disdainfully, "Dad, you’re so stingy."
Xu Yisen: "...!"
Although he often bickered with his son and was frequently teased for being stingy, Xu Yisen was still the good dad in his son’s heart.
He would go to Tiaotiao’s room at night to tell him stories, only leaving once Tiaotiao had fallen asleep.
Tiaotiao loved playing basketball and joined a children’s basketball team; whenever there was a game, no matter how busy he was, Xu Yisen would go with Qin Muni to the game site to cheer for their son.
Every day, he and Qin Muni would tutor their son’s homework together, and on weekends, the family would go to museums, art galleries, amusement parks, and the like.
