The Anomaly Beyond The System

Chapter 275: I’m sorryy… Masteeer…!

"Heh, we finally met, Selthia."

Lucian’s voice echoed throughout the room as he grabbed the grey-haired maid’s head, his hand firmly wrapping around her skull, making a slight mess of her neatly combed hair.

"I was hoping to meet you sooner, especially because of how generously you sent us to that dead zone without any warning."

"Maaa... Maaasterrr... my head is hurtiiinnggg... ughgugh—!"

Selthia’s voice came out completely disoriented.

Her head was spinning under Lucian’s grasp, making her vision blur as the room around her seemed to rotate endlessly, almost making her feel dizzy.

"Youuu weeeree the onee who told meee... aghaa—!!"

"I think you’re forgetting to say something."

Lucian looked at her with a sadistic smile, continuing to spin her head violently without any mercy, not stopping despite her pleas... and also slightly enjoying the sight for a moment.

"Uggguuu wha... Ahh! Okay! I’m sorryy... Masteeer...!"

The moment he heard her apology—

Lucian finally stopped, releasing her head before placing both his hands against her cheeks, preventing her from stumbling from the dizziness.

"Yoou’re so cruel...!"

She glared at him with a faint look of hatred, almost arguing with herself over why she had even come here... just to suffer...?

Lucian simply smiled coldly, sending a chill down her spine.

"Should I do it again—"

"N-No!"

Selthia immediately shook her head, only to feel the room spinning again.

"Nghh..."

If Lucian continued his merciless punishment again, she wouldn’t be able to walk properly, and she might even faint from the dizziness.

Lucian finally released her face.

"So, what did you come here for?"

Selthia puffed her cheeks slightly, seeing the lack of even a little remorse in his expression, not even after doing such a cruel thing like that to a young lady like her.

But then her eyes widened as she suddenly realised something.

"Oh, right...!"

Her grey eyes became slightly serious as she suddenly took a step back, mostly to get away from his grasp.

Then, holding the hem of her maid skirt, she lifted it slightly and gave a small bow.

"Lady Vivienne has recently gone to confront the Church and the traitors."

"Huh?"

Lucian looked confused for a brief moment, and it took a few seconds for the information to finally click inside his head.

"That Silly or some guy’s plan?"

He had almost forgotten about that, mainly due to going through his childhood memories, then the Kobolds, and even a few more.

So many things had happened during that time, and he had even been able to see—even live through—his entire childhood once again.

So for him, it almost felt like he had lived another couple of years in the span of this short period.

"Umm... If you’re talking about the son of Marquis Sinclair, then yes. Lady Vivienne has gone along with his plan right now."

Lucian raised a brow, slightly remembering the plan he had brought out of the man’s mouth after using his Charm skill.

Selthia then continued.

"The Duchess specifically asked me to bring you there as well.

She even said, ’Let that brat get a taste of the battle. He was begging me to let him go with her for quite some time.’"

Selthia puffed her chest out slightly as she spoke in a haughty voice, as if to emphasise the arrogant tone she was speaking with, though she clearly knew her breasts were comparatively smaller than the Duchess’s, no matter how proudly she puffed them out.

Lucian stared at her blankly.

"You don’t need to speak like that. And I know Master wouldn’t say anything like that... at least not about me."

"Tsk."

Selthia immediately turned her head, annoyed by how much he trusted the Duchess.

"Hmm...? Wait, that hothead... she didn’t go alone, did she...?"

Selthia turned back towards him, then nodded.

"She did."

"That stupid girl..."

The words slipped out almost immediately.

’She’s older than you, you know...?’ Selthia wanted to say that, but decided to stay quiet.

"Don’t worry, Master Lucian, the Lady is capable enough to kill some small fries like them. Even the Church members would have a very hard time doing anything against her."

Lucian nodded, though he felt like something wrong was going to happen... he could feel it in his gut.

"So, can we go now? Are you going to open the portal?"

"Ye—"

Selthia suddenly stopped as she slightly turned around, and her eyes widened as she noticed something around her.

A collection of bikes of various varieties parked neatly inside the room, all of them looking expensive or even weirdly fashioned.

Her eyes instantly lit up.

"Master...! Since when did you have a collection like this?!"

She immediately ran towards the vehicles, looking at all of them closely with sparkling eyes.

Lucian tilted his head at her unexpected reaction, but still decided to answer.

"They aren’t mine—you know what...?

They are mine from now on."

He casually glanced towards the Boss, whose expression faltered as he felt that gaze and the meaning behind it, but the only thing he could do was lower his head.

His beloved motorcycle collection—

The one he had spent so much time collecting—robbing—had just been taken from him.

But despite that... he couldn’t argue even if he wanted to—unless he had a sudden desire to die.

"Master! Master!"

Lucian looked at the grey-haired woman, wearing a black and white maid dress, slightly different from Kanna’s but elegant nonetheless.

And right now, she looked far too excited for some reason.

"Let’s go on a bike ride!"

"..."

Lucian blinked, momentarily not understanding what she was talking about.

"Let’s go to Lady Vivienne on this!" Selthia repeated while pointing towards one of them, seeing the stupid master not understand anything.

Before Lucian could say anything—

His shadow suddenly trembled, and a moment later, Kanna emerged beside him, her sharp, flat gaze immediately landing on Selthia.

"Selthia, be focused on what you’re told to—"

"That’s a good idea."

Kanna’s expression froze. Her words died in her throat as she... slowly turned towards Lucian.

"Master Lucian...?"

"But we might not arrive on time on a bike, would we?" Lucian muttered mostly to himself, making Kanna’s expression slightly strange.

Selthia’s eyes lit up brightly as she heard his positive response.

"No worries, Master! Lady Vivienne will take some time to reach there, and that place is only about an hour from here.

We might reach on time...!"

Lucian nodded before walking towards the collection of motorcycles, his gaze moving across them as he tried to find one that caught his attention.

There were quite a few.

Some looked a little ordinary, while others looked heavily modified, with strange parts that Lucian couldn’t even recognise—as he had no time to think about vehicles during his paralysis phase.

"M-Master Lucian...?"

The quiet, hesitant voice of Kanna came from behind once again.
