Chapter 815 Limits
Chapter 815 Limits
Ancestral Hall, Crimson Family.”Hahaha!! Let’s see how this brat will handle this situation..” The Matriarch laughed with a gleeful smile on her face as she observed Max facing off against the pale face guy.
”You did it, didn’t you?” The Second Matriarch asked as she looked at her old sister, feeling it to be all too suspicious.
”Don’t blame me without any evidence. Besides, do you really think I have nothing better to do?” The Matriarch acted as if it had nothing to do with her. But, her words sure didn’t feel very reliable especially when she had been paying attention to Max from the start to end without even taking her eyes off of him for a second.
”That brat, Blinken’s ability is still annoying as usual..” The Matriarch spoked as she saw the guy extinguish Max’s flame with ease.
”Well, that is true..” The Second Matriarch had to give her nod as well. They had seen this guy grow from a kid. There had hardly been anyone who could make him go all out. Firstly, he was hardworking, and then there was his outrageous talent.
He was both a born monster and a self made one.
And, below the Grandmaster Tier, he was almost invincible. And, just like their bet, no Grandmaster was to be deployed.
Wasn’t this a bit too suspicious? It was as if someone had deliberately sent him there.
….
Max and Blinken stood in front of each other. There was a confident look on Blinken’s face. In his eyes, he had already won the match. There was nothing else to consider here.
’It’s time to test my limits..’ Max muttered inwardly. He had no idea if he had the ability to take on this guy. But, he sure had intentions to find out about it today.
”Whoosh!”
Max’s figure vanished from his spot, and the Blinken’s brows frowned a little as he slightly ducked his head, dodging a kick right to his head.
But, it wasn’t the end, as soon as Max had appeared, his figure blurred again as he followed up with a puch, a knee and flurry of attacks which were all dodged by the Blinken.
”If this is all you have got, then I am afraid this won’t even be a warm up for me..” Blinken spoke as he looked at Max who was still attacking him. But, the moment he said that, Max’s fist which was coming towards him suddenly accelerated.
”Whoosh!”
Blinkent immediately tilted his, but it still managed to graze his cheek leaving a cut on it.
”Warm up? I wasn’t warming up too…shall we begin it then..” Max’s voice entered Blinken’s ears, and the next instant, Max’s movement quickened. Blinken could no longer be at ease like earlier. The frown on his face deepened as he was forced to move much more than earlier.
But, he still didn’t sustain any injury, and blocked every attack.
From the looks of it, he still had the upper hand. But, he himself knew that he had underestimated his opponent.
He looked at Max and then at his hands which had blocked all of Max’s moves. There was a slight tremble in them.
”You are strong..”
Those were the words that not many had heard from Blinken.
Max was probably one of the few. Even while being younger, he had made Blinken feel the gap between them. It was not the gap of the present but the future.
”It’s my turn now..” Blinken spoke, and the next instant, his figure blurred.
”Whoosh!”
Max definitely lost Blinken’s sight for a second, but as soon as Blinken entered his domain, he found him. Yet, being able to react that fast was not an easy thing.
Blinken’s fist was like a cannon, it tore through the air, and arrived in front of Max’s face. A hit would definitely lead to broken nose and shattered teeth. But, Max’s head suddenly tilted to the side, and the fist missed.
The reaction was too quick for Max, and he failed to cease the opportunity to counter. But, he knew that he wasn’t used to his newfound strength. Unlike previous times, he wasn’t able to solely depend on his Flow Manual to gain control over his power. This made Max realize that the sign for his next breakthrough was near. And, it would be a bloody path.
Blinken on the other side too didn’t chase after Max, but just stood there watching Max with a surprised look in his eyes.
”You were holding back?” He couldn’t help but ask Max. He was a wind user, there was no way that people on the same level could Match his speed. Especially when he wasn’t holding back at all.
To be honest, he was confident that he wouldn’t lose out to a Grandmaster Tier mage without wind element if they competed in speed.
Yet, Max had managed to react.
What did that mean?
”Well, just say I am in a little special situation..but I am definitely not there…so don’t worry. You still have a chance..” Max smiled at the guy. He knew what that guy was thinking. But, he was wrong, just like Blinken’s speed had crossed the Master Tier, Max’s sense had done the same. But, his body was still not at that level.
”Hahaha..” Blinken suddenly began to laugh, and his actions indeed left Max a little confused.
”I can’t believe that people called me a monster when someone like you is here. Damn, it feels like I have suffered injustice all this time..” He shook his head with a helpless smile on his face.
Max was left speechless for a second there.
”You really are a monster. But, we still meet too early…” Blinken smiled, “It seems I will have stories to tell in future about how I stepped on a genius..”
”You are celebrating too early, my friend..” Max spoke as water exploded from his surroundings and immediately flooded the now empty burned patch forest filled with ash.
Blinken’s face turned grim this time. He didn’t know Max, and hence, didn’t have the slightest idea that Max could use another element.
”Shall we begin round two then? I have a new spell that I wanted to try..” Max spoke, and the next instant, the black water which had resulted due to the ashes and water being mixed, began to rise. And, in front of Blinken’s widening eyes, several black dragon heads soared from underneath the water.
”Roar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
