Chapter 615 - Father And Son
Trinity Academy..
"I have decided."
Erina looked at Axel, who had an evil grin on his face. It didn't seem he was up to any good.
"Don't be unreasonable, I am not that helpless here." She warned him.
"You guys really can talk about reasons," Axel said with a snort. If Scarlet's could be the reason, the world would have been a lot more different. "I don't know if I should praise you for your shamelessness or laugh at your ignorance. You people are the last ones who should be talking about reasons."
"Shut up, and just get out with what you want."
"Fine." Axel folded his arms and leaned back on the chair, "I want every embarrassing picture of Wilson and tell me about every embarrassing story of his."
"That's it?" Erina asked in surprise. Talking about Wilson was the one thing which she loved, and never got tired of.
Axel didn't even need to say anything further, and she had already started.
'Well, that was easy.' He muttered inwardly, and smiled. He would now show that b*stard how terrifying he could be.
Don't get him wrong, he was not evil. It was just Max's actions that had rubbed off of him.
…
"What's with the sudden change in mind?" Lear asked, looking at Lora beside him.
Lora for some reason had agreed to separate from others and be with Lear for some time. It was very different from her earlier refusal. To be honest, it wouldn't have been much of a deal earlier but now people looked at them in a different manner. Even Lear was a bit affected by it, much less Lora. So, it was a surprise that she agreed being the shy person that she was.
But, when he looked at her, she was smiling and seemed to be enjoying herself.
"Let's dance." Lora pulled Lear along, and went towards the dancing stage.
Lear's eyes immediately widened and before he knew it, he was standing right in the middle of the stage with other people dancing beside them. And, there was also a crowd staring at them. He could even hear Rias screaming.
In the end, he forced a smile on his face. It wasn't that he was unhappy or something. It was just that he wasn't prepared for it. But there as nothing that he could do now.
Lear looked at Lora, and offered his hand for a dance.
And, Lora gladly accepted it.
'Well, I guess she is losing herself in excitement.' Lear smiled seeing that joyful look on her face. Their relationship was a bit weird, and they had somehow ended like this even though no one confessed. It was basically a situation in which they had silently accepted and acknowledged each other's feelings. There was no fancy confession, and a memorable moment that Lear had imagined. And, it was all that guy's fault. Just thinking about ticking Lear off.
"Hmmn.." Lear suddenly realized that Lora was dancing a bit strangely. They were nobles and were used to parties and stuff. And, dances like these were very common, so they were usually taught about it as a kids. But something about Lora just felt off to Lear. 'This seems a bit…'
"Why are you looking below?" Lora's voice pulled Lear back from his thoughts, and he just looked at her with a smile and shook his head a bit. He then just concentrated on the dance.
Their bodies followed each other's movement, and the two were in perfect sync.
As the song began to near its end, Lear prepared to for it. But, suddenly he felt Lora's pace increase and she took the initiative from Lear in her hands. Lear didn't know how they went off sync, but he just followed her steps to keep it together. If not, it would have all crumbled turning into a dancing disaster.
But before he knew what had happened, Lora held him by his waist and lowered him a bit as the song finally ended. The two stared at each other with wide eyes. It seemed both of them were in a shock.
Lear had somehow ended in a position which the girls were usually in.
Cheers erupted from the people around, and it woke Lear up and he finally came back on his feet before bowing to the crowd with all the other dancers around.
His face didn't look good though. He could see people smiling at him. And, it was embarrassing.
"I am sorry, I messed it up." Lora whispered in a low voice. She really seemed upset and a bit concerned about whether Lear was angry about it.
"It's fine. We haven't done it before after all." Lear immediately shook his head and smiled as they walked towards their group.
"You were great, Lora!" Rias was about to give her a hug in excitement when Lisa grabbed her from behind. "Behave, we are not in private."
"Come on, it's not a big deal." Rias looked at her in surprise. She didn't think that there was anything wrong with it.
At this moment, people around began to buzz.
The Chief guests had finally arrived.
Lear turned his head towards the entrance and saw Roman and Melinda walking in. The Vice Headmaster of the Academy immediately came up to greet them.
Most of the people in the hall also turned silent and gave them a slight bow in the form of respect. After all, no matter what, he was the Lord of Roxley House, and was the caretaker of the City.
The People of the Roxley House even took a step forward, and bent a bit more than normal.
Roman nodded at them in acknowledgement before he was led up to his seat by the Vice Headmaster of the Academy.
A minute later, Ander and the Fanet, the Headmaster of Trinity appeared.
Lear immediately walked up ahead, and he wasn't alone. Arthur and Arnold followed out as well.
The three of them greeted him.
It was obviously a formality like earlier. And, they were not doing it as his son, but just a House member. He was the Lord after all.
Ander smiled looking at them. This was something he had always imagined, all the three of kids becoming sensible. But...things were a bit different now..
"How have you kids been doing?" Ander looked at the three of them.
Lear looked at him wondering what had happened about the matter last night as they just normally talked about small stuff.
This obviously was not a place for them to catch up on things. Hence, Ander just parted ways with them in a minute to join Roxley Lord.
But, before leaving, he looked at them, "Even if it's a competition, don't forget that you all are brothers. All three of you are my sons, none of you are greater than another in my eyes. Don't do something which will make me and your mother upset."
With that, he left.
Lear stood there looking at his back as he slowly clenched his fist. It was clear to him now. His father was just trying to act tough. He perhaps already was aware of it now.
That guy had done his job.
