Chapter 372 - Visiting Edwinson House
Edwinson House, Capital.
"Don't be stupid you two…" Elly said with a frown looking at Lisa and Janet who were discussing the topic with a hint of excitement.
"You know she won't do anything like that...." Elly further said looking at Lisa.
"Who is this guy anyway? You said that they were together for a while due some special circumstances…." Janet said looking at Lisa.
"I don't know...I just received some information…." Lisa dodged the questions. She would never take Max's name. Since they were good friends who shared almost everything, Lisa was sure that Aria wouldn't mind discussing a bit into the topic. After all, they had talked about every kind of stuff among them.
But if she took Max's name, the situation would definitely turn awkward. She might even be embarrassed.
Elly looked at Lisa….she knew who this guy with special circumstances was. But, how did Lisa know about those two living together?
"But, how do you plan on asking?" Janet suddenly said.
"What's there to think about it? Since you two are so serious, why don't you two just ask her if she had s-"
Before Elly could complete her words, the duo interrupted her.
"Stop!"
Both Lisa and Janet immediately covered their ears as they felt their face burning. How could she say something like that?
"You know you two are being ridiculous now? Elly looked at them with scrunched brows.
These two had been discussing it so excitedly….even though they never said it out loud, they had already done so indirectly.
And now...she really wanted to lecture these two hypocrites….
"How can you say something like that, it's not lady-like?" Janet's words almost made Elly cough out blood.
These two girls….
At this moment, Aria arrived at the main gates.
….
On the other side, Max was really having a hard time of his life. He swore to follow every rule from now on…
The Head maid really made him work to death and he couldn't do anything about it, that was how the system they designed for servants worked.
"Ah! I can't believe she even doubled my working hours…." Max grumbled as he washed the dishes.
"Careful, don't break them or you will have an earful to listen to…"
Max turned his head to look at Ifrit pushing a cart full of dishes and cookware to wash.
"More?"
Ifirt smiled, they had 50 people just working in the mansion. It would obviously be this much.
"Let me take care of it…" Ifrit said as he folded his sleeves and came up to help.
"Uh! You don't have any work?" Max knew it wasn't possible.
"Well, I have….but it's not much….I should be able to make it in time." Ifrit replied.
"How could I let you help me then? I won't feel good this way…" Max replied. He didn't know what this guy was doing? Max felt that he was being genuine though.
Was he really so much into his character? The more Max interacted, the more he felt that he couldn't grab his intention.
"Is that so? Then why don't you help me in exchange, it will lower your work-load as it isn't so tiring….it's your second day after all.." Ifrit said with a smile.
Honestly, Max wasn't tired, how could such a thing tire him. It was just that he didn't like it.
Anyway, he didn't have any intention of letting him do his work. But Ifrit's next words made Max have a change of thought.
"Can you go and pick Young Miss and her friend from Edwinson Manor. She had gone to meet her friend."
It had already been a few days and his grandpa hadn't contacted him. The place was crawling with strong experts, even Max could not guarantee he could pass without being detected. Not to mention, he didn't have any friendly relations with them….it wouldn't be good if he got caught.
Even earlier, Max had the identification token from Walker House which made it easy for him to pass. The only thing that troubled him was to get Lisa out without alerting her family.
Once out, they just could use her identification token to pass without difficulty. It didn't matter whether they hid their faces or not. After all, the token he had wasn't an ordinary one.
"Well then, thank you….I will help you out next time." Max said as he removed his gloves and went out.
'Old man, you didn't call me….now you can't blame me for showing up…' Max said in his mind as he entered the vehicle with the driver.
With his identity now, even if they hated him. They had to let him in.
Max was so eager because he wanted to see Lilly. It had been a few days. Without Mom and his father's status unknown….Max was worried about her.
….
"Are you two going to say anything or just keep staring at me…" Aria said as she stared at Lisa and Janet. The two had been acting weirdly ever since she came.
"You really are looking mature today….right?" Lisa said as she turned her head to Janet for confirmation.
"Yeah...did anything happen recently?" Janet nodded before asking.
Aria knew these two were up to something. She looked towards Elly who just gave a 'I don't care' look.
"No, it's been as usual. ...I don't particularly remember anything unique…" Aria looked back at them before replying.
"Is it? I think you looked different. As if you had really gone a step ahead of us.." Janet continued to mince her words as she took it in a roundabout way.
"You think I am an idiot? Just spit it out…." Aria looked at them with squinted eyes as the situation turned awkward.
Lisa and Janet exchanged looks. Both of them were urging the other two to take the lead.
"Umn...you see. I just heard something and I think it's about you. It might be a bit personal stuff…..so…" Lisa finally took in a deep breath as she spoke.
"Personal stuff about me? Sure, go ahead. The way you are, I believe you won't have a good night's sleep until you get to the bottom of it…" Aria said as she picked up the cup of tea. She didn't mind, it wasn't the first time either. She must have heard another rumor.
Lisa's expression turned even more awkward and she felt embarrassed. Was she so easy to see through?
"Well, you know...you lived with that guy for a short moment of time…"
"Clak!"
The cup in Aria's hand was immediately put back down on the plate as she raised her head to look at them.
She didn't mind them knowing about it. In the first place, she hadn't informed them because she didn't want them to worry and get involved. But now she had left the place…..it didn't matter...
"What about it?" She asked.
"I-I heard you two are close…." Lisa couldn't say what she wanted to say and blurted out something else.
"Me? Close with him? What kind of joke is that?" Aria asked with a smile. She really wanted to laugh out loud. That guy was nothing but irritating….
"But you two…." Janet spoke but stopped mid way.
"What about us?" Aria asked as she once again brought the cup to her mouth.
Lisa nudged her seeing that she was still hesitating. Janet gritted her teeth as she finally spoke.
"Y-You two did t-things that only…...close people do…"
The last few words came with a bit of delay.
"Cough! Cough!"
Aria immediately spewed out the tea and began to cough vigorously.
Several things were flying through her head….how? Why? Who in hell told them such idiotic things?
Aria began to look through her mind. There were only three people who possibly could...first Max himself, second Elly who knew about them….third Max's friend Lear.
It had to be Lear.
She remembered how he saw her and Max in the bathroom in that awkward position.
"It's not true, there must be some misunderstanding..." Aria said after calming down.
"I told you didn't, I?" Janet said as she looked at Lisa.
"Y-You!" Lisa looked at Janet with wide eyes. She was really quick to change teams.
"Do you think she would lie naked on bed for someone? I bet she wouldn't even do it in death. Right, Aria?" Janet said with utmost confidence as she looked at Aria.
But at that moment….
"Shatter!"
The cup in Aria's hand slipped down her hand to the floor as her face turned pale.
Aria suddenly realised that they weren't talking about the bathroom incident…...it was when she had to lie topless for Max to treat her injury…
But how did they find it out…..
When Lisa, Janet and Elly saw the look on Aria's face they felt the hairs on their bady standing up.
No way!!
