Chapter 100: Dungeon Development Plan
Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Dungeon Development Plan
The atmosphere in the area suddenly froze.
Watching the dungeon entrance vanish before the deadline, all the guilds present knew exactly what it meant. For a moment, those who had been shouting reprimands, those preparing to echo them, and those planning to confront the Godslayer Guild as soon as they emerged all fell dead silent.
The face of that Level 61 Second-Turn expert turned green on the spot. He was, after all, a high-ranking executive of a Five-Star Guild, yet right now, he had just been slapped in the face by a rookie player who hadn’t even completed their First Turn. To make matters worse, he couldn’t even formulate a retort. Because they really had perfectly cleared the Red Moon Tide dungeon, everything he had just said was reduced to utter bullshit.
On the other hand, the executives of the Arcane Roar and Storm Eagle Eye guilds, who had been frustrated but unable to speak up earlier, now felt a profound sense of vindication.
"Under normal circumstances, it’s true that no one would take more than four hours to clear a dungeon," the Second-Turn expert from Arcane Roar said with a chuckle. "And that’s precisely why none of you have ever achieved a perfect clear."
At these words, the guild executive who had just insinuated that the Godslayer Guild was maliciously farming experience also turned green in the face. These Mages had mouths as venomous as poison. How infuriating!
"Let’s go!" one of the guild executives muttered sulkily. He initiated a teleportation spell, taking all of his guild members back to their headquarters and vanishing from the spot.
This wasn’t anyone’s first time dealing with a special dungeon, so they were all well aware of the rules. The Red Moon Tide had been perfectly cleared, meaning the dungeon now belonged to the clearers. Its ownership could not be changed under any circumstances.
Murdering them to steal the loot?
Sorry, but if the owner of a bound item lost their Divine Revelation qualifications, the item would be automatically destroyed.
The only plausible method left was probably cooperative sharing. But they had just stepped forward to block the Godslayer Guild from entering the dungeon, so they were far too embarrassed to bring up such a request now. They were quite old, and their guilds were massive. They had reputations to maintain.
Where one led, others followed. Soon, more than half of the guilds stationed in the area departed one after another.
A few guilds that had remained neutral and hadn’t stepped forward earlier now showed some interest in cooperating with the Godslayer Guild. However, upon finding out that the Godslayer Guild hailed from Divine Strategy City, these guilds could only leave in disappointment. Cross-Main City cooperation to develop a Level 30 special dungeon was far too troublesome.
With that, the remaining small fraction of guilds also trickled away. In the end, only two guilds remained: Arcane Roar and Storm Eagle Eye, along with the Assassin’s Creed Guild, which was currently in a Schrödinger’s-like state.
After expressing his gratitude to the Profession guilds and seeing them off, only the Godslayer Guild was left in the area.
"We should be heading back soon as well," Yu Zhun said, looking at Sheila. "Now that the Red Moon Tide dungeon has been cleared, I wonder if you’re willing to stay with the Godslayer Guild.
"If you don’t want to, that’s fine too," he continued with a serious expression. "I can give you your share of—" ℯℯ𝑙.
"I’m willing," Sheila interjected, her face expressionless.
Although there was a childish fool in the team who constantly called her "shorty," she inexplicably felt a sense of camaraderie here that her previous dungeon-clearing teams had always lacked. It was a feeling she didn’t quite want to part with.
"Is that so?" Yu Zhun smiled, not entirely surprised. "Let’s go home together, then."
---
BANG!
The sounds of five party poppers overlapped. Streamers and confetti rained down onto Sheila’s head. She picked them off with a blank expression, but under the bright lights, a faint blush quietly crept up her pale skin.
"Welcome, new member!"
Yu Zhun and the other four chimed in unison. Ji Xiaoyu threw an arm around Sheila with a triumphant grin. "Quick! Call me Vice Guild Master!"
Sheila was speechless. She really did want to punch her.
"Next, we have something very important to do," Yu Zhun said, putting away his smile as his expression turned serious. "We need to discuss how to go about developing the Red Moon Tide dungeon."
He held the dungeon core of the Red Moon Tide in one hand and a stack of documents in the other. These were the documents the Divine Revelation Hall had immediately sent over upon their return to the guild. Their contents detailed the development process of special dungeons.
Special dungeons could be adjusted by their owners. Through specific design implementations, a single special dungeon could serve multiple functions, allowing for the creation of various sub-dungeons. Yu Zhun had already skimmed through the material and found it incredibly enlightening.
Thus, all members of the Godslayer Guild entered the luxurious main conference hall, taking a seat in a small corner of the vast room.
"The second plenary meeting of the Godslayer Guild begins now!" Yu Zhun announced in a deep voice, and the five members clapped enthusiastically in support.
"I plan to divide the Red Moon Tide into three sub-dungeons," Yu Zhun began, explaining his thoughts. "The first will be a pure experience-farming dungeon.
"I’ll designate a restricted zone for Demonized Creatures right in the center of the Red Tide Plain, achieving an effect similar to the Azure Pearl.
"Ranged Professions can stand inside the zone and deal damage directly to the Demonized Creatures outside, ensuring a steady stream of experience points.
"Melee Professions can use the area as a safe zone, retreating there to rest when they’re exhausted from combat, while earning experience through close-quarters fighting."
"Question!" Salas raised his hand. "What about Priests?"
"Party up," Yu Zhun smiled. "Priests can team up with other Professions to share the experience."
"That’s not bad," the wealthy lady with explosive damage output said with satisfaction. "And the second sub-dungeon?"
"The second sub-dungeon will be a tower-climbing dungeon." Yu Zhun couldn’t help but smile, recalling the Nether Trial he had previously undergone. "I’ll isolate floors one through eight of the Moon Inquiry Celestial Tower and make some adjustments to the distribution and difficulty of the Demonized Units inside.
"After killing all the Demonized Units on a floor, players will receive that floor’s clear reward upon entering the next. While I can’t give out Red Equipment, passing the eighth floor will reward Purple Equipment."
Ji Xiaoyu’s expression turned a bit strange. That sounded awfully familiar.
"What about the last sub-dungeon?" Su Hong asked, looking intrigued. "What will the last one be like?"
"The last one is a story dungeon," Yu Zhun smiled. "It’ll be a simplified version of our perfect clear route.
"Escorting survivors from the Red Tide Plain to the Small Town Ruins, obtaining the Jade Pendant, teleporting to the ninth floor of the Moon Inquiry Celestial Tower, getting the Sheepskin Scroll, entering the Golem Altar, and slaying the Red Moon Golem.
"Finally, using the Golem’s Eye to activate the altar will count as clearing the dungeon."
"Wait a minute..." Su Hong scratched his head. "What about the hidden boss?"
"Gone." Yu Zhun’s mouth twitched. "The Deep Red Demon Lord already ran off. It isn’t under my control."
The room suddenly fell quiet. Su Yue spoke up weakly.
"Then... can it still drop Red Equipment?"
"...No."
