Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

"Our mother…" Feng Alin replied as he showed the screen to  him where 'Ma' was written. Beside it, there was Chi Bainian's photo. 

"Tell Ma, he is coming and on the way." Feng Shaoling told him as he resumed his drinking. As far as he knew Sheng Ruming, after seeing the picture, he would definitely come. He wasn't someone to spoil his reputation.

Many families had come for him. If the main star was absent from the event, his family would be embarrassed.

"Oh!" Feng Alin placed the phone back on his ear; talking as he leaned on the railing while gazing down at the women standing together. Wei Airan also looked at him while her palms were sweating heavily. She was feeling very anxious as she waited for the answer.

"Ma, did you hear?"

"Yes. I'm hanging up now."

Then Yan Luhan's phone rang up. He saw it was from a security guard. He finished the wine in the glass before receiving the call.

"What is it?"

"Boss Yan, young master Sheng has come. There are two additional cars beside his car. Should I check them for safety?"

Yan Luhan raised his one eye when he heard it. 'That bastard! Does he need to bring his entire cult in here? My place is also safe and well protected.'

Yan Luhan snorted as he replied, "No need. Just let them enter."

"What happened?" Feng Shaoling asked when he saw his mood changing.

But Yan Luhan poured wine in his empty glass before downing the whole drink in one shot. After finishing the wine, he placed the glass on the table with a loud bang. So everyone turned towards him at once. 

The man stood up as he spoke like he was making an announcement. 

"Everyone, stop drinking. Finally, he has come. Let's go downstairs to bring him."

Feng Alin walked up to Mu Jiang but the latter was dropped unconscious a long time ago.

"Mu Mu, wake up. Brother Sheng has come." Feng Alin slapped his face lightly while mocking him. In this world, the most Mu Jiang hated the fact if someone called him by this nickname. When he was young, he was as beautiful as a porcelain doll. Also he was little among his peers. They used to call him 'Mu Mu'.

One day, even a boy from the neighbouring school proposed to him as he thought Mu Jiang was a girl. Even if the latter was wearing boy's clothes, many girls also wear them. So when that boy proposed to him, he outright rejected him on the basis that he is a boy. But that boy didn't believe in him as he insisted to follow him wherever he went. 

In the last, Mu Jiang couldn't take it as he showed that boy his student ID as well as his photo from childhood where he was fully naked. But the boy's answer was…

"It's okay as long as it is you. I don't mind if you are a boy…" 

This answer greatly scared the little Mu Jiang as he ran to Feng Shaoling and told him while bawling out his tears. When Feng Alin heard it, he was very displeased.

So, the next day, Feng Alin followed him to the school. When that boy approached Mu Jiang again, he ran up to them and jumped on that guy as he beat the boy into a pulp.  Mu Jiang couldn't even say if Feng Alin was a human or devil as he thrashed that boy like a crazy beast.

After that day whenever someone addressed him by this nickname, he would fire up like a chimney. Feng Alin teased him by making him remember this incident a lot.

When Chi Bainian cut the line, she turned towards the group of ladies. Her lips were arched up into a confident smile.

"Nobody knew except my Shaoling. You know, Ruming is very attached to my son. Earlier, he personally called my son and notified him that he is coming. Now he must be busy as he didn't receive his call." Chi Bainian blatantly lied through without fluttering an eyelash as she twisted the truth. 

Wei Airan felt a burden was lifted up from her heart. When she heard the news, she felt relieved. All of them told her to relax and not to worry about unnecessary things.

Ji Yanli's mother smiled knowingly when she saw Chi Bainian's gloating face. She was standing beside Chi Bainian so she heard the words that were coming from the phone vaguely. She had the urge to expose her but a wise woman wouldn't do such a thing. 

Well, there is nothing to gain in making an enemy but only to lose.

Su Mengsi's sharp eyes noticed the mockery in Madam Ji's eyes as she understood something. Only in their group, Chi Bainian would do something like that.

After some minutes, a commotion broke out among a group of people beside them. The main gate was opened as three cars entered one after another. 

The middle one stopped before them as a bodyguard stepped down from the car and opened the back door. A handsome man emerged from it. This time he had his jacket put on while he appeared much more mature and sensible.

"Brother Ruming has finally arrived." Yan Ruomin spoke out in happiness as she wanted to run to the front in excitement but Su Mengsi grabbed her hand. The young girl turned in puzzlement as her mother shook her. 

The clever girl immediately turned composed and calm just like many other elegant ladies on the spot as she looked around to see if someone had noticed her behaviour. 

When Yan Ruomin saw everyone was focused on the man, she heaved a sigh. She was grateful to her mother that she stopped her in time or she would have exposed her childish behaviour and would have appeared a fool before many people while remembering Sheng Ruming's personality. But she faked an expression like she was admiring him.

Don't people say a man likes women who adore and cherish them? So, the woman tried to do it to see if that was true...
