Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

The man became excited for a few seconds but noticing Sheng Ruming's shaking head, his face turned cold. 

"Ah Ming, you cheater."

"There is no harm in a lie which gets exposed in the next second, hey!" Sheng Ruming chuckled as he turned on the loudspeaker of the phone for Yan Luhan to hear. 

This successfully broke Luo Lixi's slumber. After all, the man forgot that the door behind him was still wide open.

After speaking for so long, Ji Yanli was tired. She walked out of the room and poured a glass of mineral water to drink. 

Right after drinking it, Ji Yanli growled again, "He is making trouble for my family. Ruming, for those years of our sweets moments, please, help my father. If you agree, I will give you another night again… cough!"

Ji Yanli choked suddenly.

The four men who were listening to her froze. Yan Luhan and Wang Haixiao imagined the scene and instantly became mad. Both of them thought… thought...

"Hey! Yanli, stop talking in this way! People will get the wrong idea." Sheng Ruming wanted to clarify but when a slender hand gently slapped on his back, he dropped the phone and became petrified.

"Honey, it's very late. Why are you still here?" Luo Lixi stared at his face. Noticing his bruised face, her face turned gentle like water(because she was satisfied with the result).

Luo Lixi dragged Sheng Ruming inside and turned towards the two men. "Sorry, I can't invite you to come in. We have to sleep or else tomorrow it will cause a little inconvenience."

Yan Luhan nodded, "Miss Luo, I understand. I shall leave."

"Let's meet tomorrow, Mr Yan." Luo Lixi nodded at him as a courtesy. 

Xiao Huang also nodded as he turned around to leave when Ji Yanli's voice was heard again, "Ruming, help my father, please! Or else, I will tell Luo Lixi the thing you are hiding from her! Humph!"

Luo Lixi looked down and saw the phone. She picked it up and asked Ji Yanli, "What secret, Yanli?"

Sheng Ruming chest thumped wildly and wanted to snatch his phone but Luo Lixi shot him a glare. 

Ji Yanli felt the sky was shaking… no the earth was shaking violently. She covered her lips and mumbled, "Why is Lixi, Ruming and Luhan in the same room?!"

She swapped on her screen and opened the time zone chart. 'It is so late…'

Luo Lixi heard her and mumbled, "They are currently in the corridor, outside of my hotel suite."

"Oh." Nonetheless, Ji Yanli cleared her throat and said, "The secret is that I gave him the idea of the candle night dinner… Luo Lixi, I'm busy now, let's talk later. Bye bye, love you, mush~" Right after she broke the line and dropped on a chair. 

Unknowingly, Ji Yanli's last line made two men jealous.

Yan Luhan : 'I never got any muah from her…'

Sheng Ruming : 'How can a third person give a kiss to my wife?! Even a virtual kiss isn't allowed!'

Luo Lixi : 'The beating was light… I should have beat him more passionately.'

Luo Lixi gripped the phone tightly. She put on a pure smile and glanced at the three men. Sheng Ruming felt his scalp went numb from her mere glance. 

Luo Lixi smiled as she closed the door. Afterwards, she leaned against the door and eyed Sheng Ruming like a predator. 

Sheng Ruming looked down like an abuser puppy. Watching this, Luo Lixi's heart turned soft like a puddle of soft water.

'Forget it. I will take back everything with interest at the right time!' Luo Lixi walked to him and took the ice bag from his hand. Then slowly she applied it on his face with utmost care. 

Soon, Sheng Ruming calmed down. He soon forgot the unpleasant feelings and sat obediently like a puppy while Luo Lixi applied the ice bag on his face but unbeknownst to him, she had already marked the words of Ji Yanli, [If you agree, I will give you another night again…] in red colour.

Soon, the man took off his shirt and showed her the masterpiece she had made. Luo Lixi covered her mouth in disbelief, "Did I beat him so violently?!"

"Domestic violence. Never have I thought… thought… you will beat me. Lixi, you have hurt me too much. I felt my heart was bleeding instead of my body…" Sheng Ruming tried hard to sniff. But his nose was very clear and it didn't make much noise.

"Sorry…" Luo Lixi felt very guilty. She immediately ran away to get the first aid box. 

While Luo Lixi applied the cream on his light bruises, Sheng Ruming stayed still and enjoyed the process very much.

"Done." After applying cream on his neck, Luo Lixi heaved a sigh of relief. 

But Sheng Ruming hesitated and spoke out his misery, "There are still places you have yet to apply cream…"

With frowning eyes, Luo Lixi checked him but thought she was done. Suddenly, she heard Sheng Ruming's mosquito cry, "My bottom… is destroyed..."

"..."

She handed the cream to him and forced him to enter the washroom. After he was done, Luo Lixi helped him to get changed. Then, she asked him.

"Shall we sleep now? It's very late…"

"Of course." 

So both of them went to sleep. Despite being beaten up by her, he dropped beside Luo Lixi and spent the night while clutching her left hand tightly. There was not a bit of remorse towards the woman.

In the middle of the night, Yan Luhan got drunk. He called Ji Yanli several times but again, his number was blocked. 

"Argh!" In anger, he smashed the wine bottle on the ground. "Yanli, you damn woman!"

In anger, Yan Luhan called someone and gave instruction to put more pressure on the Ji family's business. 

Even then, his anger didn't dissipate. Right then, he got a notification of Su Mengsi withdrawing one million money from Yan Corporation's fund.
