Ten Lucky Draws: I Got Ten SSS-Rank Talents!
Chapter 126: Grave-Bog Titan
The moons of Sector 12 hung high in the star-choked sky, casting long, eerie shadows across the jagged obsidian spires. High above the cloud layer, Leon Wes rode the wind on the back of the Glacial Sovereign. The heavy armor plating covering Auris’s chest and wings gleamed with a cold, metallic luster under the moonlight, completely silent despite the massive forces pressing against them.
Leon sat relaxed in the saddle, the cool night air whipping through his dark hair. The successful eradication of the Aerial Ember-Gorgons and the subsequent integration of their talents had fueled his momentum.
We go deeper, Auris, Leon projected through their soul-bond. To the southern marshlands.
The High-Dragon let out a low, vibrating hum of acknowledgment. Auris banked sharply, his massive Void-Piercer Wings igniting with a muted, stealthy cyan aether-glow as they descended from the upper atmosphere, charting a course toward the deepest, most stagnant ecological zone in the sector.
The transition from the thermal vents to the southern marshlands was abrupt and violently oppressive. The crisp, rushing wind died entirely, replaced by a thick, suffocating humidity that smelled of decay, rotting vegetation, and stagnant, heavy mana. Below them, the landscape dissolved into a sprawling, bottomless expanse of murky black water, choked by massive, weeping willow-like trees whose pale, hanging moss looked like the hair of drowned corpses.
The ambient mana here was fundamentally different. It wasn’t volatile or explosive; it was sluggish, necrotic, and heavy. It actively pulled at Auris’s flight trajectory, a localized gravitational anomaly that attempted to drag the flying beast down into the mud.
Leon’s Origin Eyes flared with intense golden light, piercing the thick, foul-smelling fog that blanketed the swamp.
"The gravity here is artificially dense," Leon analyzed, his mind immediately mapping the tactical variables. "It isn’t a natural planetary shift. Something is actively generating a suppression field."
He didn’t have to search for long.
Deep within the center of the marsh, the black water began to violently churn. A massive whirlpool formed, sucking down the rotting trees and pale moss into a localized sinkhole. The sheer scale of the displacement forced Auris to hover higher to avoid the sudden updraft of necrotic gas.
Slowly, the architect of the marsh pulled itself free from the muck.
It was a staggering monstrosity, easily towering a hundred feet high even while slouched over. The creature was a Grave-Bog Titan—a massive, humanoid amalgamation of petrified black wood, compacted grave-dirt, and the colossal, bleached bones of long-dead Leviathans. Its head was a featureless skull of dark, porous stone, and its chest housed a violently spinning black hole that served as its mana core.
Ding!
[Hostile Entity Detected: Grave-Bog Titan]
[Level: 75]
[Rank: Elite Sovereign]
[Zone Modifier: The entity generates a continuous ’Heavy Earth’ domain. Atmospheric flight requires 300% more stamina. Physical movement speed is reduced by 50% for all unauthorized entities.]
"Level 75," Leon noted, a cold, appreciative smile touching his lips. "An Elite Sovereign that utilizes gravitational suppression and absolute physical mass to drown its prey. A perfect test subject."
The Titan sensed their presence. It didn’t roar. Instead, the featureless stone skull tilted upward, and the localized black hole in its chest pulsed with a blinding, violet light.
Suddenly, the gravitational pull in the airspace surrounding Auris multiplied exponentially.
Auris let out a sharp, draconic hiss as his massive body was violently yanked downward. The High-Dragon beat his void-steel armored wings frantically, the aether-magic flaring, but the sheer, conceptual weight of the Titan’s gravity well was dragging the Level 100 beast out of the sky like a falling stone.
I am grounded! Auris projected, his mind filled with furious indignity at being pulled from his domain.
Then we fight in the mud, Leon replied instantly, entirely unbothered by the shift in battlefield geometry.
As Auris plummeted toward the black water, the Grave-Bog Titan swung its massive, petrified-wood arm in a devastating horizontal arc, aiming to bat the falling dragon out of the air and shatter his wings.
Leon didn’t stay in the saddle. He launched himself off Auris’s back, vaulting directly into the path of the incoming, colossal strike.
He didn’t draw Epitaph. He didn’t draw the Blade of the Dragon God. He wanted to test the new augmentations he had coded into his biology.
"Wings of the Ashen Lord," Leon commanded.
From his back, two massive, ethereal wings violently erupted. They were not made of feathers or standard magic; they were composed entirely of compressed, superheated ash and blindingly bright aether. The sheer thermal output of the wings instantly evaporated the foul, humid air around him.
Leon arrested his own fall instantly, the wings providing flawless, high-speed atmospheric flight that completely ignored the Titan’s gravitational suppression.
He hovered mid-air, a dark, golden-eyed god silhouetted against the moonlight, massive wings of fire and ash burning behind him.
"Gaze of the Volcanic Sovereign," Leon activated.
His dual-colored eyes flared with an apocalyptic, searing heat. He locked his vision directly onto the massive, incoming arm of the Titan. The S-Rank talent, heavily upgraded from his recent hunts, engaged instantly.
A localized beam of thermal gravity projected from Leon’s eyes and slammed into the Titan’s arm. The compacted grave-dirt and petrified wood underwent a rapid, violent molecular shift. The immense heat and gravitational pressure instantly superheated the arm and fused the entire structure into brittle, highly fragile volcanic glass.
The Titan’s swing, carrying thousands of tons of momentum, suddenly became a structural liability.
Leon raised his right hand, summoning Epitaph from his spatial inventory. The dark, sleek Legendary axe materialized in his grip.
He triggered Phantom Weight, swinging the weapon with blinding, weightless speed directly at the fused glass of the Titan’s arm. At the exact microsecond of impact, the axe regained its catastrophic Level 150 mass.
The Absolute Edge bit into the glass, and the Kinetic Rupture detonated inward.
The explosion was deafening. The Titan’s entire right arm, from the shoulder down, shattered into a million glittering shards of volcanic glass that rained down harmlessly into the black marsh water.
Below them, Auris had successfully arrested his fall, crashing heavily but safely into the shallow mud. The Glacial Sovereign didn’t waste a second. Enraged by the forced grounding, Auris’s chest expanded with blinding blue light.
Absolute Zero Breath!
