Ten Lucky Draws: I Got Ten SSS-Rank Talents!
Chapter 122: After Sparring
The steam rising from the deep stone basin filled the bathing chamber with a thick, comforting warmth. The water was infused with a handful of crushed, aromatic leaves Snow had found near the edge of the crystalline forest, lending the air a sharp, clean scent of pine and ozone.
Leon sat submerged up to his chest, his head resting against the smooth, heated stone edge of the tub. His eyes were closed, his breathing a slow, measured rhythm that completely synchronized with the gentle rippling of the water.
He had taken the bath not to soothe any physical fatigue. The concept of aching muscles or lactic acid buildup was entirely foreign to his biology now. His SSS+ Rank Aura of the Undying and his SSS Rank Perfect Body talent ensured that his cellular structure remained in a state of flawless, perpetual optimization. He could have sparred with Snow for ten consecutive days without needing to sit down, let alone soak in hot water to recover.
No, he had drawn the bath simply because he loved the heat.
In a world governed by survival metrics, elimination cycles, and the cold reality of the system, a hot bath was a profound luxury. It was a sensory anchor. While his muscles didn’t ache, his mind still carried the heavy, lingering fog of the afternoon’s intense sparring session.
Tracking Snow’s speed, calculating the exact rotational force of her void-steel greatsword, and intentionally handicapping his own Steadfast-tier attributes to provide her with a productive crucible had required an immense, sustained level of cognitive focus. The heat of the water helped silence the rapid-fire tactical calculations that constantly hummed in the back of his brain, allowing him to simply exist in the quiet of his own home.
After a long, silent while, Leon opened his dual-colored eyes. The water had begun to cool.
He rose from the basin, the water cascading off his broad shoulders and the musculature of his torso. He stepped onto the woven bamboo mat, picking up a large, soft white towel that Snow had left for him on a wooden stool. He dried himself with slow, deliberate motions, wrapping the towel securely around his waist, leaving his chest and legs bare.
The estate was quiet. The sound of the mana-waterfall outside was muffled by the thick bamboo walls. He expected Snow to be downstairs in the courtyard, perhaps reviewing their sparring session.
Leon pushed open the sliding door of the bathing chamber and padded silently down the short hallway toward the master bedroom. He reached the door, resting his hand on the wooden frame, and slid it open.
The afternoon light was filtering beautifully through the windows, casting a warm, amber glow across the woven silk sheets of the large bed in the center of the room.
Leon stepped inside, and his breath hitched, halting him entirely in his tracks.
Snow Valestorm was lying on the bed. She was completely, and breathtakingly naked.
She was resting on her side, propped up slightly on one elbow, her long, cascading white hair spilling over her bare shoulder and fanning out across the silk pillows.
The ambient amber light washed over her flawless skin, highlighting the sleek, athletic lines of her stomach and the soft, generous curves of her hips and breasts. She was a vision of absolute, paralyzing perfection, a masterclass of human geometry that completely overrode Leon’s mind.
For a fraction of a second, Leon was genuinely taken aback. The sheer, unexpected visual impact of his wife waiting for him, entirely stripped of her clothes, anchored him to the floor.
Snow saw the hesitation in his step, the sudden widening of his icy blue and golden eyes, and her bravado immediately cracked. A furious, deep crimson blush rushed up her neck and exploded across her cheeks. She instinctively shifted, crossing her legs slightly, her free hand twitching as if she wanted to pull the silk sheet up to cover herself, though she forcefully willed her hand to stay put.
She bit her lower lip, her crystalline blue eyes darting away from his intense gaze for a moment before she forced herself to look back at him.
"I’m here because..." Snow started, her voice a little higher than usual, rushing the words out in a breathless, nervous cadence. "Because the afternoon reached, and I felt that after the sparring, you may need to relax a bit."
She shifted her weight, the movement causing a subtle, mesmerizing shift in the soft curves of her body, completely captivating Leon’s attention.
"And there’s no better way for my husband to relax other than with me," Snow continued, her chin lifting as she tried to summon her signature, fiery confidence. "As your wife, if I can’t make you relax, who else will? And... and I’m also tense. It’s your duty to make me relaxed as well, because if you don’t, no one will, because I only belong to you."
A slow, devastatingly warm smile spread across Leon’s face.
"That is a flawless argument, Snow," Leon murmured, his voice a low, resonant rumble that seemed to vibrate the very air in the bedroom. "I would be a terrible husband if I neglected my duties."
He walked slowly toward the edge of the bed. He reached down to his waist, his fingers catching the tucked edge of the white towel. With a single, fluid motion, he pulled it loose and let it drop to the bamboo floor.
Snow’s breath hitched audibly. Her blue eyes widened, dropping involuntarily to trace the heavy, imposing lines of his body, taking in the full, unhidden reality of the man standing before her. She swallowed hard, her chest rising and falling rapidly, the blush on her cheeks deepening into a feverish heat.
Leon climbed onto the bed, the mattress dipping under his weight. He moved over her, bracing his weight on his forearms, trapping her beneath the broad, protective shadow of his chest.
"You are incredibly beautiful," Leon whispered, his face hovering mere inches from hers.
Snow let out a soft, shaky exhale, her hands coming up to rest tentatively against the hard musculature of his chest. "So are you, baby. You look like a god."
He didn’t give her time to overthink. He leaned down and captured her lips.
The kiss started slow, a gentle, tasting exploration that sought to reassure her. But the moment his mouth closed over hers, Snow melted completely. Her initial nervousness evaporated, replaced by the same fierce, hungry intensity she brought to everything she did. She kissed him back desperately, her lips parting to allow his tongue to sweep inside, tasting the mint and the residual sweetness of the apples she had baked earlier.
Her hands slid up his chest, her fingers curling tightly into his dark hair, anchoring herself to him. Leon groaned softly, the sound vibrating against her mouth. He shifted his weight, his large, calloused hands tracing the smooth, delicate curve of her waist, sliding down to grip the plush fullness of her hip.
Her skin was incredibly warm, flushed with adrenaline and anticipation. Every place he touched seemed to ignite a localized fire beneath her skin.
He broke the kiss, trailing his lips down her jawline, pressing open-mouthed, heated kisses against the frantic pulse point at the base of her throat. Snow’s head fell back into the dark silk pillows, a high, breathy whimper escaping her parted lips.
"Leon... ah... baby..." she gasped, her hands moving restlessly across his back, feeling the heavy shift of his muscles beneath her palms.
He wanted to savor her, to draw out the tension, but her eager, desperate responses were pushing his own restraint to the absolute breaking point. He moved lower, his mouth tracing the soft swell of her breasts, his tongue teasing the tight, sensitive peaks until she was arching her back off the mattress, crying out his name in a breathless, shattered cadence.
"I want you," Snow whimpered, her hands dropping to grip his hips, trying to pull him flush against her. "Please, husband... I’m ready. Show me."
Leon shifted his weight, moving back up to look down into her hazy, dilated blue eyes. "Are you sure?"
