Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP

Chapter 698: The Primediva’s - The First Absence?

The First Absence, as Ash knew well, was a place that had existed since the very start of the Novel’s creation.

Long before the Mother and the Father were even conceived, the First Absence had stood as the original realm.

Yet, the name it carried was just that—a title given by two beings who truly knew nothing about the realm itself.

To those who lived within it, it was never called the First Absence at all, but rather, it was known as the Source of Expansion.

----

The Source of Expansion was a mythical land of breathtaking wonder.

The sky was a deep, vibrant red, illuminated by four suns that burned in perfect harmony — three white and one golden.

Four moons hung in the heavens as well, each at different phases.

The largest was a brilliant silver, the second a soft blue, the third a fiery orange, and the fourth — the farthest and most mysterious — was pitch black, seeming to drink in the light of the others rather than reflect it.

Below, the land itself was alive with diversity.

Vast, rolling plains stretched endlessly, filled with ancient forests whose trees had bark like living stone and leaves of shimmering emerald and gold.

Majestic mountains rose in the distance, their peaks capped with eternal snow that glowed under the red sky.

Rivers of conceptual energy flowed through the landscape, carrying fragments of pure creation.

Creatures of all shapes and sizes roamed freely — majestic, winged beasts with feathers of living flame, colossal earth dragons whose scales resembled polished obsidian, ethereal spirits that danced between reality and dream.

Yet despite their vastly different appearances, all beings here belonged to one single race: the Primediva’s — the original children of the Source, capable of taking on countless forms while remaining fundamentally one.

High above of the lands below, in an elegant open-air pavilion carved from white crystal and living vines, a small group sat around a circular table.

Alex Prime, a tall, elegant male with sharp white features resembling an elf, but with skin like polished marble and hair like fresh snow, leaned back in his chair, swirling a glass of glowing nectar.

Melissa Origin, a humanoid phoenix with vibrant purple flames flickering along her wings and hair, sat with graceful poise, her fiery eyes reflecting the red sky.

Beside them were two others: Irene the First, a graceful woman with silver skin and eyes like swirling galaxies, and Sammy the First, a broad-shouldered man with deep obsidian skin and crimson veins that pulsed like lava.

They were in the midst of a conversation about the upcoming Ten Lucky Draw Festival.

Irene sighed, propping her chin in her palm.

"Ugh, I can’t believe it’s already time for another festival," she muttered, her tone tinged with mild boredom.

"I just don’t get why we keep sending our youth to ’bless’ the lower realms, showing reverence to a creator who’s never once answered..."

Her voice faded, and her expression changed as a realization hit.

"Even... the first and only one we ever sent, young Minx, never came back from that miserable place."

Sammy grunted, crossing his massive arms.

"It’s all pointless and a facade to keep the lower Primediva’s in order," he agreed.

"No matter how much homage we pay, that creator has never spoken back. Not once in all these cycles. It’s like praying to a wall."

Melissa Origin tilted her head, the purple flames around her flickering in quiet contemplation.

"Maybe the creator is just like those in the countless other stories we’ve seen," she said with a thoughtful tone.

"Far away, detached... or maybe not even real at all."

She paused for a moment, then turned toward Irene.

"You’re not wrong either. I’ve heard from a few clans that the Treasury of Source showed up again a few cycles back... but Minx was nowhere to be found."

Alex Prime remained quiet for a moment, then leaned forward.

"Still... my father has moved one step closer to breaking the boundaries once and for all," he said, his white features serious.

"Whether the creator cares about us or not... will be shown in due time."

The Boundary could be thought of as something present at every level of any cosmology. In time, once a place had been inhabited long enough, it would inevitably be explored to its fullest extent.

The Source of Expansion, as it’s now known, didn’t always bear that name.

Long ago, it was simply called the Source, until the leaders of the realm all found themselves driven by the same ambition—to break through the Boundary surrounding the Source.

With this shared purpose, they renamed the realm, marking their collective focus on the concept of Expansion itself.

"The preparations are ready, you four."

Before Melissa could speak, a soft chime echoed through the pavilion. The group turned as one toward the large, ornate doors that led deeper into the structure.

Without hesitation, they got up and stepped inside. The moment they crossed the threshold; it was as if they had entered a completely different world.

The interior was a vast, fantastical science laboratory.

Towering shelves lined the walls, filled with glowing vials of liquid, ancient tomes bound in living leather that whispered faintly, and strange, crystal instruments that hummed with latent power.

Floating runes and holographic projections of complex formulas drifted lazily in the air like living constellations.

The floor was made of polished white stone that shimmered with embedded circuits of gold and silver, pulsing gently like veins.

In the center of the room stood a large, artifact-like pod made of shimmering white and gold metal, covered in intricate, glowing runes that pulsed with steady energy.

Tubes and cables of liquid light connected it to various machines around the room, creating a web of controlled power.

Standing beside the pod was a middle-aged woman wearing a long, flowing scientist’s coat that shimmered with embedded runes.

Her hair was tied back in a neat bun, and her eyes held the sharp, intelligent spark of someone who had spent countless cycles unraveling the secrets of existence.

Seeing the group, she smiled warmly and clasped her hands in front of her.

"So..." she said, her voice clear and professional. "Which one of you are ready to traverse first?"
