Chapter 475: The Devouring Goddess (4) – Eternal Unbound

SHKK!!!!

SKKK!!!!

SHK!!!!

The instant Nia sprang into action, she didn’t go for Ancestor Shadow—at least, not right away.

Instead, her focus shifted to wiping out the countless others in her path.

As the most infamous Yandere in Ash’s Harem, everyone knew just how broken her powers could be.

In that she moved moment, using her physique, she drew upon the power of Vaeloria’s God Star of Swords, channeling its might with deadly intent.

Though she wielded Vaeloria’s powers, her battle style, refined over countless years, remained unchanged.

Even as a blur of darkness, she moved with a calm, almost lazy grace as she cut through the crowd.

SHING!

With a single horizontal sweep of her katana, an arc of pure conceptual severance tore cleanly through twenty cloaked figures in one motion.

Each strike carried the weight of 600 Layers, the typical measure of power for those who existed on the Sixteenth Dimensional plane.

Their forms split neatly in two, crimson spraying in graceful arcs before the cuts sealed themselves under the consuming force of her energy, snuffing out any chance of regeneration.

SHKK!

As these beings carried out the ritual, they weren’t just offering blood; they were giving their origin blood, a sacrifice that left them weakened.

Even so, these were warriors who had lived their entire lives for the sake of battle.

Whether Human or Demi-Human, it made no difference—the cloaked Elders moved in and began their assault.

HUMMMM!!!

They instantly unleashed their Strata, a self-made power that let them showcase their dimensional state.

In simpler terms, it allowed them to stack their attacks up to 700 layers.

As they approached, Nia moved like a shadow come to life — calm, unhurried, and almost bored.

SHING!

Her katana flashed in a single clean arc, slicing thirty cloaked figures neatly at the waist.

Around twenty were human cultivators from rival domains, gathered that night for the ritual; the rest were wolf-kin demi-humans from the same pack and faction.

And even with Nia’s strike landing a full hundred layers beneath their own…

It should have been impossible for them to take any damage, yet this only proved how incredible Vaeloria’s skill with swords truly was.

There was nothing she couldn’t slice through—even the very Layers of Reality.

In the blink of an eye, their upper halves fell away, eyes frozen in shock, as the rest of their bodies collapsed.

ROOOAR!

Another of the Elders—a burly lion demi-human with a scarred face—let out a roar, channeling 700 Layers into a massive claw strike of golden mana-qi.

“You’ll pay for your transgression!” he shouted, the claw plunging down like a blazing sun.

Sensing the attack, Nia didn’t bother to look up or give it a second thought.

BOOM!

She casually sidestepped, letting the claw smash into the ground where she had just been, leaving a crater in the stone floor.

As dust billowed up, she was already standing behind him.

SCHLICK!

With a casual shove to the back of his neck, the lion demi-human let out one last gurgled “AGH—” before his claws twitched once and he crumpled to the ground below.

Still, the more they died, the more they came.

Not just that, the attacks Nia were unleashing caused damage to those she wasn’t even directly attacking.

Which only further boosted the prowess of these beings here.

As she pressed on with her ruthless assault, another Elder—a slender human woman with silver hair, famed among the lower factions for her razor-sharp curse techniques.

She called out to her former rival, now fighting at her side.

“Cover me!” she urged, beginning to channel her Strata. “I’ll bind her movements!”

The sharp sound of chains snapping through the air rang out as she wove a 790-layer curse, sending dark chains of negation hurtling toward Nia to hold her fast.

And beside her, the rival — demi-human fox-kin — nodded grimly and hurled a barrage of flaming spears to force Nia into the chains.

FWOOSH!

FWOOSH!

Nia didn’t bother dodging the incoming blows.

While cutting down anything in her way, she strolled through the flaming spears as if they were nothing but smoke.

When the curse chains reached for her, she casually lifted her free hand.

SHKK!

Then with a single slash, she cut through the very concept of the curse before it could take hold.

The silver-haired woman’s eyes widened.

“How—?!”

But her words were cut short as Nia appeared in directly in front of her.

SHKKKK!!!

The katana sliced clean through her throat.

She grabbed her neck, warm blood spilling and frothing between her fingers as she sank to her knees, suspended in the air.

Her former rival, the fox-kin, saw his chance and surged forward, pouring everything into one last attack — a compact orb of foxfire and warped space, designed to erase her the instant it touched.

BOOO—-

However, the orb never detonated.

Time itself froze as she channeled Isis, the Dragon Unus Goddess of Time.

In that instant, she unleashed her power over Devouring.

HUMMMMMM!!!

Yet, she didn’t draw on any innate ability or external force—she simply let her divinity run wild. After all, she had an infinite supply of it.

She shaped it into a miniature black hole that expanded in the center of the hall.

WHUUUUUUUM!

Instantly, everything was pulled in — bodies, blood, stone, even the lingering echoes of the ritual.

The entire base began to crumble inward as the singularity grew, devouring walls, floors, and the remaining cloaked figures before exploding outward in a violent burst of erased matter and consumed concepts.

KRRRRRRR-BOOOOOM!!!!

The explosion ripped through the fortress.

When the dust and void settled, the grand ritual hall was gone — reduced to a smoking crater of shattered stone and empty space.

Only Ancestor Shadow remained standing, his shadowy form flickering but intact.

He took the opportunity immediately.

Him being left unscathed was obviously by design… But as he watched Nia this entire time, it was a reason he hadn’t intervened.

She was far too relaxed for someone clearly weaker than him. Even as he grew stronger right in front of her, she didn’t break a sweat.

Honestly, the whole time she’d been cutting down these beings, she hadn’t slowed for a second.

And in doing so, she was even helping him out—these creatures were part of the ritual and had to die eventually anyway.

So, in that moment, after realizing she’d only tapped into 600 Layers, he made his move.

|Eternal Night (Ruler)|

In that moment, he activated a talent, along with his influence over shadows and a trans-concept of shadows.

HUMMMMM!!!!

A massive wave of pure shadow, born from the eternal night and swallowing all light and existence, surged toward Nia.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

In that moment, even though she sensed the attack coming, it still struck true.

Nia was flung more than half a light year away, her body shooting through the sky like a meteor before she managed to steady herself high above the domain.

Ancestor Shadow lingered in the ruins, his voice drifting across the distance—cold, mocking, and dripping with dark satisfaction.

“Thank you for getting rid of the useless ones.” He said, “And truthfully, I found your little journey interesting… one of a kind, even.”

He raised his hand, shadows gathering around him once more.

“But it’s time it all ends.”

As his words faded, Nia was already soaring through the skies, now standing half a light-year away from him.

Cracking her neck, she drew a frown from him when he noticed she bore not a single wound.

“Right,” she said, her voice calm and almost bored.

“Time to get what I came for.” Before he could react, she began channeling her codex power.

|Absolute Devouring (Tier 7)|

HUMMMM!!!

WHOOOSH!!!!

In that moment, the black sun on her forehead shone brightly. Then, a single ray of pure black light shot toward Ancestor Shadow.

He tried to react — shadows surging to form a defensive wall — but the ray was faster.

When it struck him, there was no explosion or any dying screams.

No, in that very instant, he was simply unmade.

His form caved in on itself, every shadow, thought, and fragment of his being pulled into the black light like water swirling down a drain.

In moments, the once-mighty Ancestor was gone — entirely consumed.

Before Nia, a status screen appeared, letting her filter what she wanted to absorb or integrate into her God Star.

Once she made her choice, everything would be converted into the power system of Constellations and Gods.

Seeing this, she smiled, knowing it was the main reason she had allowed the Ancestor to power up.

“Now, Ashy… you won’t have to go gathering any more women,” she muttered as she took the Ancestor’s existence level without hesitation.

HUMMMM!!!

In that moment, not just her, but all those connected to Ash stepped into the Nineteenth Dimensional level.

Which for them was the Eternal Unbound rank or Tier 35.

After gaining control over the Shadows, it blended effortlessly with something new they had acquired since their last evolution — an infinity symbol now etched on her heart, glowing softly with a dark light.

Nia let out a slow breath, sensing the new power settle within her.

She cast a final glance at the spot where Ancestor Shadow had stood moments earlier, then turned her gaze toward the horizon.

“Expect more gifts in the years to come, Ashy~,” she said as her form began to fade. “And when I’m finished, I’ll be expecting some special rewards~.”
