Chapter 288: Fay And Sia

Chapter 288: Fay And Sia

Badump!

Although it had been many years since they had last seen or heard from Ash… even with him undergoing so many changes. However, they had of course seen his Galactic wide showcase of him destroying the Nocturne’s.

That was about the last time they had seen anything related to him. Aside from the stories and the feats of the Originats, it seemed like he, the Patriarch of the clan had vanished.

Even with all of that… the moment they laid eyes on him, their hearts pounded. The two walked up almost robotically and reached out to touch as if he were a ghost.

Aurora rose a brow at their actions.

“Uh, Daddy… are they okay?” She asked as she lightly knocked their hands down before they got too close.

Now, she might be fine with Elara and the others being up on him… but these two?

She didn’t know them from a can of paint. It was no way she would let them intrude any further than what they already did.

“A..Ash?” Fay called out as the two had slight blushes on their faces. Realizing that they were indeed acting a bit… weird.

’After all these years and we act like this?’ Sia wanted to hide her head underground right now as she sent a mental message to Fay.

’Hmph, is it our fault he looks so… otherworldly?’ Fia responded as she outwardly gained her composure.

“The one and only.” Ash teased as he walked forward. “Come, let’s walk and talk.”

—–

The sect’s paths wound open between quiet courtyards and drifting lantern light.

Ash walked at an easy pace, hands casually tucked in his pockets, while Aurora stayed close to his side—half guard dog, half curious daughter—her eyes flicking between Fay and Sia with a suspicion she didn’t bother to hide.

Fay and Sia, on the other hand, were doing everything in their power not to stare at Ash like he was some divine treasure.

Yet…they failed miserably.

Sia cleared her throat.

“It really… has been a long time.”

“Mm.” Fay nodded, though her gaze kept drifting up and down Ash’s form. “You look… different.”

Aurora snorted hearing that, though she herself just didn’t know how much her father tended to change looks. Although he could keep his same look, he rather wore the form he evolved into.

Ash chuckled. “I’ll just take that as a compliment.”

They walked a few more steps before Ash slowed, turning slightly so he could see both women clearly.

“I won’t lie to you both,” he said. “I came here to clear my last debt, that last favor I owe… do you still want it?”

Fay and Sia froze as their eyes widened.

They obviously remembered that, back before he left, Ash spoke of giving them a gift much better than the first. During that time… Ash he was well, being a bit flirtatious and with him being so attractive…

They clearly thought he meant other things…

Their cheeks colored as they looked at one another instinctively.

’Is he going to finally make us his women?’ Sia asked mentally and Fay, she didn’t respond but her eyes held the same hope.

These women couldn’t have possibly known that Ash and Aurora had perfect visuals of their thoughts… and seeing this made them both react.

But before they could truly say anything.

Fay and Sia, they straightened their backs and nodded with a confidence that absolutely betrayed their internal ’confidence’.

“Yes,” Fay said quickly.

“Of course,” Sia added, trying to sound composed but failing when her voice cracked. “We… accept.”

Aurora eyes narrowed. “Just what do you think, you’re accepting?”

Fay and Sia didn’t answer. They were too busy imagining wedding veils, shared chambers, and Ash’s arms around—

Ash raised a brow. “You two think I’m asking you to become my women, don’t you?”

Both women choked on air.

Aurora burst out laughing. “That’s very…. imaginative.”

Fay covered her face. “I—We—That’s not—”

Sia looked like she wanted to evaporate. “We… misunderstood.”

Ash chuckled, as he was only teasing the women.

For all his claims that he no longer felt the urge to “collect” more women, he’d never truly shut that door—and why would he?

Maybe it would make sense if he had a short, fragile lifespan. But when a man expected to live for eons…

Time changed everything.

The idea of having dozens—hundreds—of wives didn’t bother him. With eternity on his side, there would always be room to build bonds slowly, deeply, without rushing anything.

Not that he planned to go that far, of course. But he wasn’t about to pretend the possibility didn’t exist.

“You know… maybe one day. But that’s not the favor.”

Ash glanced at Aurora, then let a small smile tug at his lips as he thought of the women currently causing chaos across the multiverse.

“As for my future wives,” he said, “that’s up to my daughter and the ones I’m already married to. If they decide to welcome you, then I won’t object.”

Fay and Sia exchanged a look—somewhere between relieved and disappointed—before nodding with quiet respect.

“But,” Ash added, voice dipping into that teasing warmth he wielded so effortlessly, “I don’t mind you staying close to me… or indulging whatever fantasies you’ve built up.”

Both women flushed instantly, their composure evaporating.

Aurora watched all of this unfold with wide eyes. “Daddy… I understand now why I have so many mothers.”

Ash gave a wry smile and scratched the back of his head. “Yeah… your father is so handsome, what can I say?”

As he spoke, Ash lifted his hand. Two faintly glowing sigils shimmered into existence, settling gently onto Fay and Sia.

“These are keys,” he said. “They’ll let you enter the Haven. Once inside, two very beautiful spirits will assist you.”

’MASTER, YOU OWE US.’ Elysia and Creara’s voices echoed in his mind.

How dare he send them away, even for a moment? Even if that moment was… literally a moment.

Fay leaned in. “The… Haven?”

“It’s my home,” Ash replied. “Or a piece of it. Inside, you’ll find things most worlds would consider priceless.”

Sia swallowed hard. “And you’re giving us access?”

He gave her a flat, almost bored look. “How else are you going to win over my wives and my daughter?”

Both women flushed at that—part flustered, part motivated—and Ash continued before they could recover.

“Also… you should bring everyone you care about into the Haven within the next two weeks.”

Sia’s expression sharpened instantly. “Is something coming?”

Ash didn’t answer right away. His gaze drifted toward the horizon, and a slow smile curved across his face.

“Oh, something is definitely coming,” he murmured. “Just keep your eyes open.”

Aurora stepped closer, brushing her fingers against his sleeve. “Daddy…?”

He flashed her a teasing grin. “Nope. It’s a surprise.”

Despite the smile, Fay and Sia felt a chill crawl down their spines.

The two‑week warning wasn’t for him—it was for whatever madness he was preparing to unleash.

And for the first time since reuniting with him…

They understood just how far beyond them Ash had grown.
