Chapter 212: The Abyssal Lords - First Soul
Chapter 212: The Abyssal Lords – First Soul
It didn’t take long for the trio to reach their destination—though that really depends on one’s definition of “long.” After twelve straight hours of nonstop teleportation, they finally arrived at the Central Fractured Zone.
Ash had masked their presence as soon as they came within 300 million kilometers.
The reason was simple—he could already sense the presence of the Two Abyssal Lords, and at that moment, they were watching as the two clashed in a fight to the death.
The Womb of Refusal was exactly what her name suggested.
She appeared as a colossal woman—or so it seemed.
All the trio could make out was a white, pregnant silhouette.
Strangely, this wasn’t a disguise but her true form. Cracks ran across her skin toward her belly, which was transparent and held a restless sea of souls….
Endless, tormented figures drift in slow, painful currents, their muted cries swallowed by the Abyss’s silence, faces pressed against her form as though pleading for freedom.
She was beautiful in a tragic way—features soft and maternal yet eternally grieving, a mother who could birth only suffering.
Even in battle, her eyes remained closed as though she were asleep, black ichor streaming endlessly from her lashes, dripping into pools that birthed new souls below.
The Hollow Monarch was massive, standing over nine feet tall with a body of translucent glass.
Much like the Womb of Refusal, his body contained countless souls—figures suspended in eerie stillness, their mouths frozen in endless, silent screams, eyes wide with the unending terror of the void.
He had no eyes, only two perfectly round voids that eerily mirrored the face of whoever looked at him.
His lips were almost nonexistent, just a thin seam that appeared only when he spoke.
BOOOM!!!!!
Their blows sent ripples through the realm—shockwaves splitting the frozen lake and trembling through the endless ice, stirring the tormented souls beneath—Kaelthyr’s gaze shifted to Ash.
“Brat, you’re seriously sitting this one out?”
He couldn’t deny it— even at the Peak Cosmic Overlord rank, he knew these two had enough power to give him a real challenge. Yet, that very thought thrilled him.
It’s worth noting that, up until now, Kaelthyr had yet to ascend to the ranks of the Primavus.
No, he stayed a Vampire even after Ash asked him.
It wasn’t out of disdain for the race, but rather a matter of pride.
He could clearly see the strength of his disciple’s race, yet could anyone blame him for wanting to discover what the peak of Vampirism truly was?
“Right, I’ll go retrieve the First Soul… let’s call it killing two birds with one stone,” Ash said with a wink.
Kaelthyr just stared at him.
’He’s purposely doing this, isn’t he?’ he thought.
“Fine, get lost, brat,” he scoffed, glancing around before his gaze landed on something.
In the distance, millions of kilometers away, was a massive egg—pure black with jagged red cracks running along its surface, as if it could burst open at any moment.
[Host, that egg is your disciple. If you take down those two, you’ll be just one step away from claiming this place as your own—and you’ll gain your second disciple.] the system said.
Kaelthyr rolled his neck before calling forth his sword.
The instant it materialized in his grasp, his entire presence shifted. The irritable master vanished, replaced by the man who had once struck fear into countless civilizations.
At that moment, he remained hidden thanks to Ash, who still hadn’t left. Glancing away from the scene, he spoke.
“Brat, don’t break the concealment yet… not yet.”
Then, he activated a skill he had created while inside the Original Haven.
|Domain of Eternal Night’s Embrace (Mythic) | -30% MP

[A/N: I had planned a Chapter to better explain MP consumption with Ash, but some things have changed. Just keep in mind that MP consumption varies depending on how much the skill is comprehended.
In this case, self-created skills automatically reach full comprehension, unless the creator decides to further enhance them. The rules differ from Elaris, but not by much. A Chapter with a clearer explanation will be coming soon.]

As his talent activated, Ash kept all the spreading Darkness concealed. Curious about what his Master had planned, he watched intently.
When the Darkness stretched across 130 million kilometers, he invoked a concept.
|Concept of Darkness|
The moment it happened, something Kaelthyr had obtained years ago from his system burst forth with full force. The Heart of Eternal Night… in that instant, his long silver-gray hair turned jet black, and his eyes followed suit.
A black tattoo emerged just above his left eyebrow, and then he began to speak.
“Now Brat!”
HUMMMMM!!!
Ash broke the concealment, and in that moment, complete darkness fell.
The two Abyssal Lords immediately sensed their presence and turned in their direction.
But before they could react, the darkness warped and twisted before them, taking the shape of Kaelthyr. He swung a sword now completely pitch black, its edge barely visible in the suffocating gloom.
BOOOOM!
The Abyssal Lords managed to block just in time, but the impact was so devastating it sent them flying backward before they regained their footing.
Their eyes locked on Kaelthyr, standing firm with a fierce glint in his gaze.
They didn’t speak, didn’t frown—he was simply an intruder, an enemy.
Though they had been fighting each other, there was more to it than most could see. So, in that moment, they stopped clashing and turned their combined assault on Kaelthyr.

“Are you not going to help him… isn’t he your master?” Celeste asked as she rested her head onto Ash’s arm.
By now, her defenses had completely crumbled, and around her neck rested the very necklace Ash had described—a fine chain spun from threads of pure starlight, carrying a pendant of tiny constellations that shifted and sparkled with celestial energy.
The stars aligned in patterns reflecting her emotions, casting a gentle glow against her skin like a fragment of the night sky held eternally close.
“So what? He’ll be fine.” Ash brushed the situation aside before taking her hand.
“Yeah… but those two don’t look like pushovers,” she added.
“Hmm, I’ve already checked… it’s nothing too serious.” With that, Ash vanished along with her.
The place was so vast that he had to teleport several times before finally arriving at the location of the First Soul.
However, this place wasn’t exactly what he had imagined.
It rested in the deepest part of the place, like a frozen cave, yet it wasn’t empty.
Twelve ghostly figures stood there, all with their eyes shut. As Ash peered closer, he spotted a few familiar races among them—Humans, Dragons, Elves, and Titans.
[These are the First Twelve Souls of this realm—in other words, the first twelve beings to die and never reincarnate. From what I know, each Soul comes from a being of the 3rd Cosmic Cycle, and each holds limitless potential.]
Elysia’s voice flowed smoothly, answering all the questions Ash had been holding back.
’How does that work, though? Will it be two souls in one body?’
[No. The Abyss can completely erase a soul’s consciousness. By the time it’s assimilated, it’s already far too late.]
Hearing all of this, Ash’s eyes lit up brightly.
He turned to Celeste and said, “Apparently, these are the first twelve souls and assimilating them will grant power like nothing else.”
Celeste raised a brow, her curiosity about Ash growing. “And how exactly do you know this?” she asked.
Ash simply smiled and pointed to his eyes.
“I see things, you know… Anyway, none of these souls really offer anything for the Stars. But there’s something tied to Fate.”
[Seventh Soul – A ethereal Celestial figure wrapped in endless silver threads of fate-lines that bind its limbs like chains, eyes bound with golden blindfolds from which golden sand flows upward in reversed streams.]
—
’Well, it doesn’t really say what it will do…’ Ash mused, before explaining what he could see about the soul.
“Is it safe?” she asked, unsettled by the uncertainty surrounding the soul’s abilities.
After taking a moment to reassure Celeste that everything was fine, she began the assimilation process.
Ash, well he had no idea how Kaelthyr planned to handle such a task.
To keep things smooth, he created an amulet perfectly suited for the situation—one that would ensure the process went flawlessly while filtering out any negative effects, sparing the person from inheriting unwanted emotions.
As she worked, Ash’s attention shifted to the other Ten Souls. “These are all beings from the 3rd Cycle…” he mused with a smile. He knew better than most just how formidable such beings were—not only in strength, but in potential.
[You’re being absurd again, Master,] Elysia remarked.
He smiled silently. All ten of these souls… they were coming with him.
He didn’t intend to use them on himself—at least not directly.
He had far greater plans in mind.
As he sent each one into his Inner Cosmos, he kept them suspended in stasis and then sat down.
From what he could tell, this realm didn’t have much more to offer him personally.
As mentioned before, this was Kaelthyr’s mission, and he was simply here to enjoy the benefits—just as he was doing now. With that, he closed his eyes and waited for Celeste to finish.
