Chapter 191: Who?
Chapter 191: Who?
Currently, Ash he was even disconnected from Elysia.
It was not due to his location, because Elysia was so intertwined with his existence that she could be wherever he was…
But due to his subconsciousness….
Or maybe it was those Two Old Fellows?
Either way, he was all alone for the time being.
By now, he knew why he was here and it was solely because the entire place was whispering the same thing over and over.
“Who are we?”
“Who am I?”
“Who are you?”
“WHO?”
They were not voices of malice or mockery, but a relentless, questioning chorus that seemed to originate from the very essences battling within him, their words weaving a tapestry of self-inquiry that clung to his thoughts.
Such a situation of course irked Ash, solely because he didn’t feel like going down the road of retrospection again…
He’d just had a talk with Elysia about his shortcomings and what not… but the longer he remained and watched the war between his Natures.
Yet the longer he lingered in this inner realm, observing the chaotic clash of his natures — Desire raging against Endings, Eternity clashing with Primavus — the more he realized this was not mere retrospection, but something far more profound and necessary.
The realization settled over him like a cool mist, easing the irritation as he watched the essences collide in bursts of colors, each impact sending ripples through the darkness that illuminated fragments of his soul in fleeting glimpses.
This was not a journey backward into memory, but a forging forward — a demand to define himself not by what he had been, but by what he chose to be in this moment of harmony and war.
So, as he watched all the Carnage, the fight between his natures… he did begin to reminisce.
Albeit briefly… because if one were to ask him who he was it wouldn’t be so simple.
Memories begun flashing like lightning strikes across the battlefield of his soul.
He was a being on a path, chasing a goal he’d set that even he didn’t know the sight of.
He was the beginning of it all, yet even as he knew that… It wasn’t much else he knew of his first self.
“Nature….”
The word escaped his lips like a breath of revelation, hanging in the air as the memories surged — the First Cycle’s endless nothingness, the Second’s life of endless power and sword knowledge, the Third’s absolute endings, Earth’s mundane struggles, and this life…. one meant to be one of endless desires.
Each life flickered past like pages in a burning book…. reminding him that Nature was not a power or something meant to be studied, but the raw, unfiltered truth of what a being chose to embody.
It was the state of person, whom they truly were.
Much like the Dragon of Absolute Endings, everyone else had a true nature whether they lived in that truth or not.
It was there… and currently Ash, his face began to form a smile as his hands danced through the core of his Soul, fingers tracing patterns in the air that pulled the warring essences together like threads on a loom….
At first, the struggle was intense, the essences pushing back with waves of heat and cold that shook the inner cosmos. But Ash’s will never wavered, his touch steady and sure, guiding them until they surrendered, fusing into a flawless infinity symbol that shone with a light beyond both color and darkness.
A union of complete harmony… something that caused his eyes glow brightly as he spoke.
“Masks… people wear masks to hide who they truly are…But my goal cannot be achieved if a mask is kept on.” His ethereal layered voice sounded as he continued.
“Who? You ask…”
“I am me, the one who lives by his own rule, own word, own law. The one who desires knows no bounds…. I am Ash Originat, the one Beginning and the Ending of it all.”
As those cryptic words left his lips, the path ahead seemed a little clearer.
He still didn’t know the purpose of the Original Incarnation, but he was sure those old fools hadn’t spoken in vain. The talk of Natures and the mention of the path he was already on—it mattered.
And so, he paid attention, ready now to truly walk in his Nature.
Before he had never cared much about outside opinions, but now it rose to an entirely different level. If before he did whatever the hell, he pleased…. then now, it would be no second thought…
Nothing that could change his desires.
And currently…
His desires were it all.
His soul core now quiet, the warring essences now flowing in perfect harmony around the infinity symbol, the natures no longer divided but unified under his will.
The whispers faded, replaced by a profound silence that felt like acceptance, as if the core of his soul had finally acknowledged the truth he had spoken.
As his Soul Core reached a state of Harmony, he found himself back inside of his body.
——
BOOOOM!!!!!
The return was violent, his consciousness slamming back into his physical form with the force of a cosmic collision, the air around him cracking as reality reasserted itself, the ruined lands of the Mirror Foxes coming into sharp focus amid the dust and debris.
He found himself being hurled into the ruined lands of the Mirror Foxes as he heard the words of Kagami.
|Absolute Precept – Mirror Sovereign Dominion| Stage 5
“Let every self be my reflection and let no reflection escape me.”
The moment his proclamation sounded, his body shifted and changed yet again.
His precept was such a power that allowed him to change into the exact reflection of anything in his mana sense range.
And currently, Ash was about the only thing in his range.
So, as Ash gained control over himself once again and watched Kagami become the exact form as him, brewing the concept of endings.
He laughed… “HAHA,” It sounded eerie as his form was monstrous and his voice was layered.
“What a fool.” He said before Kagami charged him.
