The Oracle Star was dead, but Jay York didn’t possess such thoughts. He would be alive as long as he wanted to live. Lear was also a dog before the Heaven-rank Elders disappeared, maybe even lower than a dog. Anyone could piece together that the Lear who was discarded by the Heaven-ranks had become the most powerful force instantly. They used the laboratory as a base to form a strengthened Zerg team. They wouldn’t perish for the time being even if they couldn’t leave here alive.

Jay York didn’t think that the Elders would really give up such a base just like that. Lear wouldn’t just give up like that either.

“You joined Meng Tian’s team before?”

“Yes, Master.” Jay York was very respectful, without any flowery. He knew he was being kept alive because he was still useful.

“Why did you leave them? Those with Meng Tian left the Oracle Star,” Lear said lightly.

This is a test, Jay York thought to himself. He had long prepared an answer, but he saw Lear smirk just when he was about to speak. A chill ran down his spine and he seemed to have fallen into the pits of icy hell. The story he had fabricated before wasn’t out. Instead, he heard himself telling the truth uncontrollably. “Meng Tian left by an accident. She could be stupid herself, yet she wanted all of us to be as stupid as her…”

“Is she stupid?” Lear smiled, a shadow going past his eyes.

Jay York couldn’t breathe at that moment. It was as though an iron hand had clenched his neck, squeezing the air out of him. He only had one breath left in his lungs to say something. What he said and how he said it would determine whether he lived or died. The more useful he was, the nearer to death he was. Lear, the current Lear, was human no more!

How should he answer?

Jay York didn’t know. He didn’t know what ran through the mind of a monster.

“Yes… She was so hopelessly stupid.”

This sentence accompanied his last breath. Jay York decided on the truth in his heart.

Did he pass or fail?

Fresh air entered his body. He regained his ability to breathe.

“It isn’t important what you think. More importantly, any action of lying or deceit will make you regret being born.”

Lear waved his hand dismissively as he looked at Jay York retreating out of the room like a lost dog. “Come out,” he suddenly said to the empty room.

Light distorted and Luo Fei’s figure seemed to be spit out from nothingness. Following Sharjah’s latest configuration, Luo Fei could feel a higher level of control over the Zerg genes in his body. Luo Fei was very satisfied with his current situation. He didn’t feel like a monster. Perhaps no monster felt they were a monster.

“Boss, that lad isn’t reliable, he’s dangerous.”

Luo Fei didn’t have a good impression of Jay York.

“He will be the first to betray us once we lose our power. This type of person is better to kill rather than to leave him be.”

Lear smiled. “There is no one more unreliable than us. Luo Fei, enjoy this process. This is our baptism. There’s a larger world awaiting us outside.”

“Boss, I cannot understand why the Great Elder would let us live and leave us such a great nest and time to evolve.” Luo Fei liked the term “nest”. His level of appreciation underwent some level of transformation after the fusion.

“Those who stand on the top always feel that the world is under their feet, that the world revolves around them. However, they don’t know that new, strong forces were born this way.”

The Great Elder might be powerful, but he thought he was all, that this was the end of the world. He couldn’t be more wrong. Lear could feel the infinite future and possibilities after the fusion. Given ample time, he would make this world tremble. He was going snatch all that the world had snatched away from him.

Lear’s ability was similar to a queen ant’s. Luo Fei was his first soldier, but it wasn’t that easy to control him. This was a very complicated process since he wasn’t a queen ant after all. They only bent to him because he was stronger.

However, the evolved humans were definitely under his control. The question was: how would he increase the success rate? He probably had to research it with Sharjah. His empire would take form as long as he could control the power of the evolved humans.

Power determined justice, power determined history, and power determined the future!

Luo Fei went back to his matter. “Boss, a girl called Mo Ling wants to meet you. She’s waiting and her strength is very good. It seems like she wants to defect to our side.”

Mo Ling had chosen Lear after sustaining severe injuries from Sarah and Bilro.

Her contact with Luo Fei made her feel fear. She was shocked to find that she was no longer Luo Fei’s match even though she used to be one of the five core Sons of Saint! She knew who Luo Fei was before. A piece of garbage!

She could feel the pressure on her when she saw Lear. She couldn’t even resist.

Lear smiled at Mo Ling and sized her up as though she was an object.

Mo Ling steadied herself. “Lear, I’m here to discuss a deal.”

“Oh, what qualifies you to talk to me about a deal?” Lear mocked and looked at Mo Ling with slight interest.

“The entire Holy City is gathering to kill you, you need help,” Mo Ling said.

Lear looked at Luo Fei. This fatty is still an idiot after he evolved. This woman didn’t realize it.

Lear lifted his finger and touched her…

Mo Ling’s head suffered a huge blow. Her body spun around and fell onto the floor. Fresh blood spurted out of her mouth; her neck would have been snapped if she wasn’t someone who had trained for a long time.

The fog on Mo Ling’s face dissipated, revealing a beautiful face. Lear had seen many beautiful women, the top beauty of all had to be Aina Aslan. This woman was impeccable. The others, such as Meng Tian and Lin Huiyin, were pretty good as well. However, the woman in front of him now was better than Meng Tian in terms of her aura and appearance. Her determined eyes was something Lear was most happy about.

“Can an ant talk terms with a lion?” Lear ridiculed. “Well, you’re somewhat smart. I’ll be lenient to the first three who defect to me. Bend to my will, or die.”

Mo Ling gnashed her teeth. She had underestimated Lear’s strength. This guy had really completed that damn experiment, but he had retained his human appearance. The only difference was the evil aura he exuded, sending chills down people’s spine. It wasn’t possible for her to flip around any longer. She would have teamed up with the other two guys if she had known, but she couldn’t change camps anymore now.

Mo Ling dropped onto one knee and bowed her head. “King Lear, I’m willing to bend to you.”

The smile on Lear’s face didn’t change. “Very well, I have a mission for you.”

Sharjah appeared out of nowhere. The professor had a radiant but evil smile on his face. He knew Lear was his lucky break. Lear’s thoughts were exactly the same as his. They were going to use the Holy City’s resources to create new humans.
