Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids

Chapter 883 - 881: Almost Became a Jinx

Glanced at the PE teacher looking around ahead.

Candy shouted to Xiang’er:

"Xiang’er, if you’re tired, I can carry it for a while."

"Okay."

Xiang’er didn’t refuse. At first, it didn’t seem like much, but now the flag in her hand felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

Outside the group, Zero wore a cap, following the team at a leisurely pace, always staying within five meters of Candy.

He would occasionally dash into the roadside shops, then come running back out.

He was all coolness.

No matter how you looked, Zero seemed more like the one on an autumn trip, rather than Candy and the others.

Meanwhile, at the back of the group, the sixth-grade students were in misery.

They really couldn’t understand how the little first-graders could walk so fast.

Were they running?

Initially, some complained that the first-graders walking in front would slow them down.

Now, no one was voicing a word.

Running and walking just to keep up with the group had exhausted them.

At the request of the Chengnan Primary School principal, Candy Technology took on the task of monitoring the students from above.

Using drones and satellites on the rails, anyone trying to leave the group to buy something was called out by the drone.

Students looked resentfully at the drones flying overhead.

Having money yet unable to spend it was really frustrating.

If they’d known, they would have bought beforehand at the school’s convenience store.

Up front, with Candy now carrying the class flag, her thirst was unbearable, and the water in her cup scalding hot.

Glancing at the PE teacher who kept turning back, Candy took advantage of the moment when the teacher wasn’t looking to wink at Zero not far away.

"What’s up?"

Zero took off his sunglasses and walked over to Candy.

Candy pulled a bill given by her sister-in-law from her pocket and said with a smile in a whisper:

"Could you buy two bottles of coke for Xiang’er and me?"

"Sure."

Taking the bill, Zero disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The PE teacher looked back at smiling Candy, saying nothing.

As long as she remained with the group, there was no need to go against her.

"Teacher Yuan, could you slow down the pace for the back? The higher grades have been running the whole time."

"Okay."

So, the pace slowed.

Carrying the flag, Candy didn’t feel tired walking; it was just that the sun was blazing, and her lips were dry.

In less than a minute, Zero in a cap and sunglasses returned.

After handing the coke to Candy and Xiang’er, Zero took over the flag.

For some reason, while holding the flag and leading the front, Zero felt a certain indescribable sensation.

A bit... excited, and a little... satisfied!

What a strange feeling, no wonder even Candy wanted to carry it.

Too bad the teacher was slowing the group down; otherwise, she really wanted to experience the thrill of running with the flag.

Half an hour later, after a one-and-a-half-hour journey, the whole school, teachers, and students finally reached the autumn trip destination.

As far as the eye could see, it was a large meadow.

The reservoir dam was not far away.

Under a weeping willow, Candy, Xiang’er, and a few close friends sat beneath it resting.

Ha~

Gulping down a coke, what a refreshing taste.

"Zero, where’s the package my sister-in-law prepared?"

Zero, lazily sticking the class flag into the ground, heard Candy’s words and took off his backpack.

"Here."

"My sister-in-law said to share some with classmates."

"Hahaha, that’s for sure."

Opening the backpack, it was full of neatly cut fruit packs.

Candy wasn’t stingy, taking out all the fruit boxes.

"Everyone, come and have some fruit."

Minutes later, Candy looked despondently at the only two strawberries left in her hand.

They really only left her a tiny bit!

"Attention all students, conduct activities by class unit, strictly no students allowed near the water."

After searching for a while, Candy finally found the person holding the loudspeaker.

It was the principal, standing by the water.

There were many unfamiliar teachers standing with the principal.

Watching the students playing and laughing, the teachers on duty by the river to prevent any mischievous students from heading over didn’t complain.

Because...

"Come on, let’s fish."

Led by the principal, a dozen teachers eagerly took out their gear.

This scene astounded the students.

Was the autumn trip really meant for the students?

It seemed more like it was for the teachers.

"Zero, I want to fish too."

Upon hearing this, Zero, sitting on the grass, took off his sunglasses and rolled his eyes.

"I want to too, but you heard it; the principal strictly prohibits you from nearing the water."

"Don’t count on me, I wouldn’t dare take you there."

"Oh~"

At this moment, Xiang’er playing the game of eagle and chicks shouted to Candy:

"Mo Xiaoxue, come join us!"

"Coming, coming."

Watching Candy join the eagle and chicks game, Zero deployed a drone over Candy, then got up and sneaked away.

"The fish are biting! Pull it!"

Hearing the sound behind him, the principal who was daydreaming instinctively reached out to pull the fishing rod.

In the next second, a little river fish was reeled up.

Looking at the little river fish, Zero clicked his tongue in wonder: "It’s really small."

The principal glanced back, saw Zero, and swallowed the words he initially wanted to say, changing to a smile as he asked:

"It’s all for fun, size doesn’t matter."

"Want to give it a try?"

Zero shook his head and said, "No, I’m just watching."

"Actually, you don’t need to worry too much."

Speaking, Zero pointed to the fifteen drones in the sky confidently:

"These are multifunctional drones used internally by Candy Technology; if any student approaches the water, they’ll fly lower and give voice prompts."

"If a student ignores the warning and continues to approach the water?"

Hearing this, Zero replied in surprise:

"Which student would be so bold as to defy a group of teachers and the principal?"

"Speaking of which, our Mo Xiaoxue is most afraid of teachers calling parents."

The principal was at a loss for words.

Still, Zero was right; even the mischievous students fear the homeroom teacher calling their parents.

They’re not afraid of teachers, nor parents, but rather that sense of shame.

Just then, a cry sounded beside them.

"I’ve got a big fish on the line, come help me!"

Zero turned to look, and sure enough, the rod bent into an arc—it might break at any moment.

The next second, with a snap, the rod broke.

Zero felt relieved—relieved that he only thought about it and didn’t say it out loud.

Otherwise, the nickname ’Crow’s Mouth’ might be unavoidable.

The commotion drew a lot of students’ attention.

But respecting the teachers’ authority, none of the students tried to come closer to watch.

Not even Candy.

"Hmph~ Zero won’t even take me over to join the fun."
