Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 789 - 787: Zero’s Fickleness
"Qin, if you take it back for more thorough research, you’ll uncover its secrets."
Watching Mo Jingchun play coy, Qin Yuzhu couldn’t help but slightly curl her lips into a smile.
"You’re making me even more curious now."
Hearing this, Mo Jingchun chuckled, "I’m just afraid that when they discover its secrets, they might not tell you."
Qin Yuzhu was taken aback and said incredulously:
"Is it really that important?"
"Who knows." Mo Jingchun shrugged.
Below the No. 1 laboratory building, Zero organized all the Whites to orderly unload the super quantum computer, then, single-handedly carrying one of the wooden crates, took the elevator to the boss’s private lab.
The combat robot maintenance staff sitting in the lobby on the first floor looked numbly at the Whites going up and down.
Even Zero, who was carrying a wooden box single-handedly, was given only a cursory glance.
Having stayed here for a long time, she increasingly felt that the robots from Candy Technology absolutely excelled in combat capabilities.
And if all the Whites were armed... they would be veritable war machines.
But so what, wouldn’t the country see something so obvious? Clearly not.
The presence of Candy Technology in the official combat robots shows as much.
"You’re the one, adorable No. 2 White Rabbit."
Inside the laboratory, Zero casually pointed and squinted at the fat rabbit leisurely munching on fresh grass in front of her.
Among all the white rabbits used in lab experiments, No. 2 was the heaviest. Naturally, for gifting, the heaviest was chosen.
A small gift with deep affection, a hefty gift with deeper sentiment!
When the cage was lifted, the white rabbit inside remained calm, continuing to nibble on the fresh grass like a little foodie.
Covering the cage with a black cloth, Zero carried it out of the lab.
A few minutes later, when Zero walked into the office, she found the boss and Qin Yuzhu still engrossed in a joyful conversation, but it was evident that Qin Yuzhu’s attention was focused on the cage in her hand, especially with the black cloth covering it.
As Zero entered the office, the door automatically closed behind her.
"Boss, I’ve brought what you asked for. I picked the heaviest white rabbit."
With that, Zero directly lifted the black cloth.
Qin Yuzhu watched intently, seeing a perfectly normal white rabbit; if there was anything different, it was its plumpness and appetite.
Faced with three pairs of eyes, the rabbit continued eating grass leisurely; if that isn’t an appetite, what is?
After a long inspection, Qin Yuzhu really couldn’t see anything special, nor anything that could be related to a medical miracle.
Qin Yuzhu wanted to ask Mo Jingchun, but held back.
Retracting her gaze, Qin Yuzhu smiled and said:
"This rabbit is quite chubby."
Mo Jingchun responded with a broad smile: "Hahaha, as long as you like it, Qin. I didn’t expect Zero to be so earnest, picking the biggest rabbit."
In fact, Mo Jingchun withheld the fact that all the white rabbits in the lab were carefully selected, with little difference in weight.
As for why this rabbit stood out... well, it can only be summed up in two words—"great eater"!
Same weight, but it simply can’t resist going to the bathroom often.
One step ahead, step by step ahead, it’s foreseeable that life conditions will improve once this rabbit reaches the national lab.
There’s only one observation subject, and Mo Jingchun doesn’t think they’d be shortsighted enough to dissect it immediately.
You can always trust the efficient and uncomplaining work ethic of the Whites.
In less than half an hour, the Whites had delivered all the packed crates from two large trucks to the top floor.
After moving the last crate, Zero reminded:
"Boss, the super quantum computer has been completely unloaded."
Before Mo Jingchun could say anything, Qin Yuzhu eagerly said:
"Since my task is done, I’ll head back to report. If anything comes up, call me."
With the "medical miracle" so close yet unbeknownst to her, Qin Yuzhu felt it was more important to return with it than to stay for lunch.
Mo Jingchun paused, nodded.
Thinking Qin Yuzhu indeed was a good person, not needing him to persuade her to stay for a meal.
He still needed to go to the No. 2 lab building for a technical exchange with aerospace researchers; if Qin Yuzhu stayed for lunch, half a day would be wasted.
"Truly a good person." Mo Jingchun affirmed Qin Yuzhu in his mind once more.
Watching Qin Yuzhu already grab the cage, Mo Jingchun glanced at Zero.
The next moment, understanding immediately, Zero gently waved her hand, and the office door silently opened.
Seeing Qin Yuzhu off to the parking lot, Mo Jingchun smiled and said:
"Come by often when you can."
As he watched the three cars drive away, Mo Jingchun turned and walked unhesitantly towards the No. 2 lab building.
"Zero, handle that thing yourself."
"Try to arrange it neatly and preferably don’t use space in my personal lab."
"Got it!"
Watching the boss’s silhouette, Zero was overjoyed.
Soon she would ask Qin Yuzhu for the installation instructions, aiming to assemble the super quantum computer before clocking out today.
But first, she had to dismantle the old supercomputer to make room.
In the next moment, all the lab’s researchers simultaneously received an email alert from Zero.
Wei Luxue, who was designing a circuit diagram, looked at the email and, surprised, said to her colleagues:
"Did the supercomputer suffer a major malfunction? How come the server room needs maintenance for a whole day, closing all supercomputer interfaces?"
The person sitting opposite Wei Luxue frowned and said:
"It must be. The company’s supercomputer has been around for years, not having been updated or replaced for long; electronic component failures are normal. I just didn’t expect a full day’s maintenance shutdown."
Hearing this, Wei Luxue was a bit worried.
"It won’t just conk out, will it?"
The remark caused not concern but some anticipation among everyone.
"If it breaks, it’s good news; it means our computer department’s latest ternary computers will have a chance."
No sooner had this been said than Zero’s voice came through the lab’s office area.
"Can’t you people talk seriously every day? Just eagerly waiting for my place to break."
"Li Chuanfu, right? I remember your name now."
In an instant, the entire office fell silent, and the timid Wei Luxue lowered her head, pretending to be engrossed in work.
Organizing the Whites to dismantle the supercomputer, Zero was visibly annoyed.
What’s wrong with these people, eagerly waiting for her place to fail one after another.
"Speed up, if it breaks, it breaks."
Directing all the Whites with tools to dismantle the supercomputer, Zero kept urging them to move faster.
