Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 752: You Can Dodge the First, But Not the Fifteenth
"Bun has at least a hundred tricks up his sleeve."
Mo Jingchun smiled slightly; it was clear he also wholeheartedly agreed with Zhou Yaling’s opinion.
Without tricks, how could he be so plump?
Candy looked down at Little Grey and the more she looked, the more she felt Little Grey was disappointing. So she huffed and said, "Silly dog."
The word "silly dog" caught the attention of Mo Jingchun and Zhou Yaling, just when they thought Candy would rebuke Little Grey, Candy bent down without disdain and picked up the sausage from the ground.
"Go ahead, eat it, finish it before you get scolded."
Little Grey wagged his tail and nudged Candy with his head. He probably only understood "go ahead, eat it," without comprehending "finish it before you get scolded," otherwise why would he be wagging his tail happily?
Mo Jingchun shook his head, "Silly dog, no saving him." With that, Mo Jingchun turned around and went into the house. He needed to find Bun, as this guy was the real culprit, the strategist. Little Grey, at most, was just a little soldier.
Watching Little Grey eat the sausage for a while, Zhou Yaling glanced at Candy and then took the remaining sausage down. Since Candy wanted to scold Little Grey, it meant Little Grey was going to suffer. The title of the little chatterbox wasn’t just for show.
As for Bun, he was busy for half a day and ended up with nothing, whereas Little Grey got the benefit, truly a case of being too smart for his own good.
Holding the sausage, Zhou Yaling stepped into the house before Candy.
Upon reaching the second floor, Zhou Yaling saw her older brother coming down from the third floor, strangely without Bun in hand.
"Didn’t find him?"
Mo Jingchun nodded, "I searched Candy’s room entirely, and indeed he’s not there."
Hearing that, Zhou Yaling smiled wickedly, "It’s simple, just ask Zero, and we’ll know where Bun is hiding."
At that moment, Zero stretched his neck and shouted loudly from downstairs, "Impossible, I saw Bun enter Candy’s bedroom."
"Didn’t see him come out, surely he’s still inside."
"Inside?" Mo Jingchun raised his eyebrow, a little surprised; he hadn’t even spared the space under the bed.
Zero also felt it was strange; Bun entered the bedroom, so where could he hide? Curious, Zero also ran upstairs, turning to follow the boss and went back into Candy’s bedroom.
The sight of the pink surroundings, combined with warm lighting, gave the entire bedroom layout a comfortable feeling.
"Help me look, where’s Bun hiding?"
The next second, Zero looked at the window in amazement and said, "No wonder he’s such a clever orange cat; his ideas are indeed unique."
Following Zero’s gaze, Mo Jingchun didn’t need Zero to explain, he immediately knew Zero’s meaning.
Mo Jingchun opened the curtain and saw a gap in the window, but Bun wasn’t visible on the windowsill.
Just as he was about to ask Zero, Zero laughed and said, "On the air conditioner outside, I have to say, cats as smart as Bun are truly rare."
Mo Jingchun immediately laughed, "He is clever, and quick on his feet."
The outdoor unit is on the left of the windowsill, without protection jumping over is dangerous.
Feeling the boss’s gaze, Zero shrugged. Soon a large White walked into the room.
Looking at the adorable White, Mo Jingchun glanced at the carefree Zero again; indeed, Bun wasn’t the only smart one.
In this house, except for the silly Little Grey, they’re all smart.
Despite often being pranked by him, Zhou Yaling is no less capable, especially when it comes to emotional intelligence; she’s much better than her brother.
Apart from university classmates, Zhou Yaling has far more good friends than he does.
"Meow~woo~!"
Brought back by White, Bun fiercely glared at White. The next second, Bun immediately backed down when he saw Mo Jingchun’s smiling yet not-so-smiling expression.
Can’t mess with the boss.
Compared to wandering or being well taken care of with tasty treats, Bun knows which is more enjoyable.
Taking Bun from White, Mo Jingchun seized Bun by the nape of his neck. Bun hung his four legs, eyes still defiant; he clearly managed to escape, so why was he caught again?
Holding Bun up, regular exercise made Mo Jingchun feel quite the struggle; Bun’s weight is quite a test of arm strength.
With such heaviness, it’s no wonder Candy is less willing to carry Bun around now.
Tugging Bun’s whiskers, Mo Jingchun chuckled, "You’re quite the clever one; for this week, forget about eating dried fish, I’ll hide them all."
"Meow~"
"Resistance is futile."
Holding Bun, Mo Jingchun went downstairs, and Bun didn’t make a sound. After all, wherever the dried fish are hidden, Bun can still find them as long as they’re in this house. By acting cute to the little owner, dried fish are easily obtained.
Downstairs, Candy wasn’t watching TV but had grabbed Little Grey’s front leg, talking non-stop.
Having endured Candy’s scolding, Little Grey’s ears drooped down, and the entire dog didn’t have any spirit left. Just at that moment, Candy saw her brother holding Bun, and brightly said, "Brother, leave them to me, I love lecturing the both of them."
"Haha, no wonder the class teacher likes to talk non-stop during class meetings, it’s really satisfying."
Mo Jingchun looked sympathetically at Bun, who made no attempts to struggle in his hand, then without hesitation handed Bun over. Mo Jingchun wasn’t worried Bun would escape; in front of Candy, if Candy asked Bun to go east, Bun would never dare go west.
And so, a funny scene unfolded.
Candy sat on the couch; Bun and Little Grey huddled together, sitting on the floor listening to Candy talk endlessly.
Initially, Mo Jingchun observed with interest, but after ten minutes he grew annoyed, listening repeatedly to the same points just worded differently.
So after watching for a while, Mo Jingchun simply returned to his room for a nap.
On the other hand, Zhou Yaling, snacking, watched in delight. If the house had sunflower seeds, Zhou Yaling would’ve also been munching them and sipping tea while leisurely enjoying the drama.
Uncertain how long Candy had scolded them, when Mo Jingchun woke from his nap and went downstairs, no one was there. Zero wasn’t watching TV, and Bun and Little Grey had also disappeared.
"Lost again, sis, you can stick another note on."
Complaining, Candy handed a note to his sister, then he and Zero watched her intently.
Feeling unlucky today, Zhou Yaling sighed, placing the note on her forehead.
Not believing in prolonged bad luck, Zhou Yaling protested, "Again, I don’t believe it. I’m Huo County’s eighth bull demon, there’s no way I’m just handing over points."
Clearly, Zero and Candy didn’t buy into their sister’s bold claims.
The facts were plain to see; their sister had conceded three rounds in a row.
