Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 708: "Qi Delong, Qi Dongqiang
Zero stretched her neck, completely stunned.
"Uncle, don’t you go online often?"
"Online? Oh, I know, you’re talking about short videos, right."
"Yes, yes."
"Sorry, I’m used to my old phone, haven’t used a smartphone." After explaining, the fifty-something Pan Xiaodong curiously asked, "So... who are you? Are you Candy?"
Zero’s smile instantly faded. Seeing this, Pan Xiaodong realized he misspoke, awkwardly smiled and chose to keep quiet.
He had indeed been paid the freight, but the car was inside the park; offending them could mean no good outcome.
From the reaction of those security personnel, this little girl definitely had notable connections.
After a minute of silence in the air, having waited a while, Pan Xiaodong still didn’t hear the little girl speak, so he politely asked, "Hello, when can we unload?"
Zero was about to spend money to call for a crane, but suddenly thought of something, her eyes lit up.
"Wait here, I’ll go get the excavator keys."
Several minutes passed, Mo Jingchun scratched his ear, doubting if he misheard.
"What did you just say, I didn’t catch it clearly."
"The excavator keys at the entrance, I’ll operate it to transport the osmanthus tree, the osmanthus tree I bought has been delivered."
"You’re operating the excavator?"
"Yes, I’m no less skilled than Candy!"
Watching Zero for a moment, Mo Jingchun rummaged through the drawer for a while before finding the dusty excavator keys.
Just as Zero reached out to grab them, Mo Jingchun naturally slipped the keys into his pocket.
"Come, I’ll go with you to take a look."
After finishing a cigarette, Pan Xiaodong, leaning against the truck, was incredulous, rubbing his eyes when he saw the person the little girl brought.
Confirming it was Mo Jingchun, Pan Xiaodong swallowed, secretly relieved he hadn’t offended the little girl.
No wonder when the little girl beckoned, those people opened the door for him to drive in; her connections were truly solid.
Pan Xiaodong quickly took out good cigarettes he usually reluctant to smoke from his other pocket, smilingly approached and offered them.
"Thank you, I don’t smoke."
Except for New Year, it was the first time anyone offered him cigarettes; Mo Jingchun had mixed feelings. People in the circle knew he didn’t smoke or drink; at banquets, there was never a single bottle of alcohol on the table.
Looking at the large trailer carrying the osmanthus tree, Mo Jingchun was quite taken aback. He initially thought Zero might have exaggerated, unexpectedly, it was even thicker than mentioned yesterday.
Mo Jingchun handed the keys to Zero, "You go bring the excavator over."
"Xia, go to the garden and get some people to come trim the branches; such a big osmanthus tree, if the extra branches aren’t trimmed, it’ll sooner or later die after being planted."
"Okay, Boss." Xia Xiaomin nodded, walked a bit further, then dialed the garden office’s phone number.
"Hello, who are you looking for?"
"I’m Xia Xiaomin, have your leader bring some people and tools to Dormitory Building No. 1 to trim the branches."
"No problem, Secretary Xia, I’ll relay this to the leader immediately."
On the other side, Zero excitedly ran out the door, heading straight to the excavator covered in a thick layer of dust.
Unlocking, opening the door—actions seamless and smooth.
Starting the engine, the excavator predictably sputtered and died after roaring twice, but Zero was not worried at all.
After all this time without starting, not starting normally for a bit was quite normal.
Opening the cover, Zero immediately found the battery.
Without a word, Zero gripped the positive and negative terminals of the battery with both hands.
As a surge of current passed, Zero chuckled to herself, "I knew this old battery wouldn’t work."
After a simple charge, Zero tried starting several more times, and thick smoke billowed from the rear of the excavator.
The way it smoked was much like tractors from ten or twenty years ago.
About a minute later, the smoke from the excavator’s exhaust pipe normalized.
Under Zero’s operation, the excavator moved.
From afar, the security personnel who opened the door stood a good distance away.
Watching those who doubted her skills, Zero pouted angrily.
"Tch~ If there were planes available, I could operate the plane like a pro too."
Pan Xiaodong stared in shock at the little girl in the excavator cabin; this world was crazy—the mouse became a bridesmaid for the cat.
Today was truly eye-opening!~
Mo Jingchun gestured for Zero to first stop the excavator. After the excavator shut off, Zero steadily jumped down from the cabin.
"What’s up, Boss."
"Wait for the garden people to trim the branches before planting."
"Oh~"
Beside them, Pan Xiaodong had already been shocked numb today; he heard the little girl call Mo Jingchun ’boss.’
Are they from the underworld?
"Uncle, didn’t you say you needed a transport slip signed earlier? You can have my boss sign it."
"Oh, okay..."
Seeing the driver’s strange look, Mo Jingchun glanced at Zero, asking, "Are you scaring people?"
"No!" Zero spread her hands, looking innocent.
After signing, Mo Jingchun and the group waited a while longer before the garden team arrived.
Seeing one of the figures from the garden, Mo Jingchun and Zero exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes conveying unspoken understanding.
"Why is this woman here too."
"Boss."
"Hmm." Mo Jingchun pointed to the osmanthus tree on the truck, saying, "It’s this tree, trim it so it doesn’t die."
Mo Jingchun’s words rang as a strict command in the ears of the garden crew—this tree must survive.
"Yes, yes, yes."
"Everyone, hurry up and get to work." As the leader spoke, the garden team began moving.
Mo Jingchun didn’t stay to watch, knowing fully planting the tree would take at least an hour.
"Send me a picture when it’s done."
"Alright, Boss."
After Mo Jingchun left with his team, Pan Xiaodong felt the pressure eased considerably. Just then, the little girl was sitting in the excavator cabin, playing on her phone, Pan Xiaodong took out that pack of good cigarettes again, mingling with the garden folks.
"Hey, brother, who is this little girl? And why is she calling Mr. Mo ’boss’?"
The garden manager, in his thirties, accepted Pan Xiaodong’s cigarette, shocked, and asked in return, "You don’t know who she is?"
"Uh, I don’t go online."
"Oh, no wonder."
"Cough, cough, she’s the artificial intelligence Zero from Candy Technology; what others can manage, she can manage. What others can’t manage, she can still manage. Brother, do you get what I mean?"
Just then, Zero poked her head out of the cabin, angrily shouting, "You’re the one from the West Factory!"
"Uncle, don’t listen to his nonsense; I’m just a tiny bit multi-talented."
The garden manager who was bragging a moment ago grabbed a chainsaw and started working, afraid Zero might cause trouble.
Going against artificial intelligence, especially the AI overseeing all the company affairs, is like going against oneself.
After all, who could ensure no mistakes are made during work?
