Taming the Tyrant Beast Women
Chapter 127 A Treasure House of Calamity Bosses
A Treasure House of Calamity Bosses
Outside, the spectators were stunned.
They never expected Selena to crush the Cyclops so decisively.
The giant screen showed the battlefield.
What had once been a dangerous Calamity Boss now lay motionless among the ruins.
"Th-That’s it?"
A recruiter stared at the screen.
His mouth remained slightly open.
"Why didn’t it go the way I expected? It didn’t take long at all!"
Normally, killing an inner zone monster took at least thirty minutes—often longer.
Even the strongest students couldn’t simply rush into battle.
They had to study the monster’s movements.
They had to avoid its attacks.
They had to manage their mana.
They had to slowly wear down its enormous health pool.
But Leon’s team had ignored almost all of those difficulties.
"That skill of hers is terrifying—it ignored the Cyclops’s high toughness entirely! And the follow-up damage was insane!"
Another observer nodded rapidly.
"Yeah—look at Evelyn, she didn’t even lift a finger."
The observer pointed toward the screen.
"She’s supposed to be an offense-type beast-girl, but in this team, she’s playing support..."
Evelyn’s role had become strange.
She wasn’t weak.
Far from it.
But Selena’s overwhelming combat power had pushed her into a supporting position.
"Turning an offense-type into a support—that’s just..."
The university officials looked at one another.
None of them could find the right words.
One recruiter finally sighed.
"Some people have all the luck. Leon’s already killed a Calamity Boss, and other students haven’t even made it through the middle zone."
Another shook his head.
"The gap is ridiculous."
"You can’t say the others are weak—Leon’s team is just too strong!"
"These three are going to be the talk of Bellemont Province this year!"
A few officials glanced toward the other screens.
Students across the hunting ground were still struggling against ordinary boss-level creatures.
Compared with Leon’s progress, their speed looked almost painfully slow.
"Being in the same exam as them... is their tragedy."
Leon looked at the system panel.
[Congratulations! Killed Calamity Boss Cyclops ×1. Absorbed Soul Power +15,200]
"Holy crap—the experience from this thing is insane."
Leon was stunned by the notification.
His eyebrows rose.
Fifteen thousand soul power.
One monster had provided more energy than an entire group of ordinary bosses.
Calamity Bosses were something else!
Leon looked toward Selena.
Her experience bar had risen dramatically.
He then checked his own aptitude progress.
It had also increased.
A satisfied smile slowly appeared on his face.
He checked his wristband.
[+800 Points. Starlight +1]
"Hiss—the points are insane too!"
Leon licked his lips, excitement surging through him.
Eight hundred points.
And one Starlight.
The inner zone really was worth entering.
Selena’s mana regeneration rate was a hundred times the normal amount.
She wasn’t afraid of running out of juice!
That meant—for the remaining hours, they could kill as many as they wanted!
Leon clenched his fist.
"Experience points—here I come!"
His excitement bubbled over.
Where else could he find an opportunity like this?
With Selena’s current experience bar, even clearing another entire tree labyrinth wouldn’t raise it much.
But here—
Someone had conveniently packed a bunch of Calamity Bosses!
It was practically a treasure house built specifically for him.
Evelyn noticed his expression.
"You look like you’re about to rob the entire hunting ground."
Leon looked at her seriously.
"That’s because I am."
Evelyn blinked.
Selena laughed.
"At least he’s honest."
Leon nodded.
"Exactly."
The three of them continued forward.
Thanks to his soul skill, they quickly found their next victim.
The system panel appeared.
[Puppet Mechanism]
[Level: LV.30]
[Rank: Calamity Boss]
Leon’s eyes immediately brightened.
"Another one."
Evelyn sighed.
"You’re really not going to let them rest, are you?"
Leon smiled.
"Four hours is a long time."
Selena raised her hand.
"Then let’s hunt."
Leon expanded his soul skill, leading the two women toward the Calamity Boss.
The further they traveled, the quieter the surroundings became.
There were no birds.
No insects.
Even the wind seemed reluctant to pass through the ruins.
At the end of the mist-covered valley stood a ruined palace.
Its walls had collapsed long ago.
Broken pillars were scattered across the courtyard.
And beside those ruins stood something that didn’t belong in a forest.
A massive mechanical beast.
It was standing completely still.
Seven or eight meters tall.
Its body was constructed from countless precision gears, metal plates, cables, and rotating mechanisms.
Every component gleamed with cold silver light, as if forged from moonlight and stardust.
Its body was sleek yet incredibly sturdy.
The machine didn’t breathe.
It didn’t move.
It simply stood there.
Waiting.
Two crimson eyes were embedded in its chest.
Those eyes were its energy core and power source.
When they suddenly glowed—
The silence disappeared.
A deep mechanical hum rolled across the ruins.
The ground vibrated.
Leon stopped.
"There it is."
The Puppet Mechanism slowly raised its head.
Its crimson eyes locked onto them.
The next instant—
Two blazing red lasers shot forward.
They cut through the air like spears of molten metal.
Leon immediately pulled Evelyn backward.
"Move!"
Selena jumped sideways.
The lasers struck the ground.
[BOOM!]
A massive crater appeared.
The earth exploded outward.
Rocks were reduced to fragments.
The edges of the crater began melting from the intense heat.
Within seconds, the soil had transformed into a ring of crystallized glass.
Evelyn stared at the crater.
"That’s not a normal attack."
Leon nodded.
"Careful—its attacks are powerful!"
The Puppet Mechanism didn’t stop.
Its legs moved.
Heavy metal feet slammed into the ground.
[BOOM!]
[BOOM!]
[BOOM!]
Each step sent vibrations through the ruins.
The mechanical beast charged toward them.
Its enormous body accelerated surprisingly quickly.
"Prepare for battle!"
