Taming my Monster Girl Harem from Scratch

Chapter 168 Temporary Conclusion

Even after the Succubus Lord vanished, the red fog continued to dominate the entire region. With nothing to threaten us anymore, I plopped down to the ground and sighed, letting the army of 10 thousand succubus girls handle everything.

“… Now we just need to wait.”

I whispered to the wind as I closed my eyes before I gently lay down on the ground, limbs spread wide.

The Succubus Lord must’ve retreated after realizing that she lost fine control over her energy. She must be planning to recover first before attacking again; however, the energy virus that Fatima developed isn’t something that could easily be removed.

It wasn’t supposed to spread this fast, but I modified it a bit, allowing a rapid reaction in exchange for weakening the effects. Even if she was initially more powerful than the Void Beast, given enough time, she’ll be even weaker than a god tamer.

“Three days at least, a week at most…”

Within that time, she would realize that the weakening she felt was aggravating and that she was not recovering at all. By then, most likely, she’ll attack once again.

Before then, we should recover to our full health and prepare thoroughly.

“It’ll be another busy week.” bn𝚘v𝚕.𝚘𝚛𝚐

In a remote location where the group of tamers could be barely seen, Agor was looking ahead with greed in his eyes.

“That looks like a useful weapon. I need to get my hands on it.”

The weapon he was looking at was none other than the gun in Will’s hand. A weapon that was powerful enough to blast a hole in an enemy that a god-tamer couldn’t even scratch was definitely something worthy of his attention.

“But that brat, Zeshion, would definitely protect him more thoroughly after getting kidnapped once.”

With Zeta under his employ, it would be easy to set up a full area to prevent or block teleportation and any type of instant movement skill. One good example, with a weaker version of it, was the Luo’s main residence. However, someone who had a 9th-level space element monster could break through it forcefully.

“Lord Agor… you want that brat’s weird weapon?”

One of the Zodiacs slumped down behind him asked with a curious tone. She was the one representing Aquarius, the water bearer, and was the one responsible for countering all of Vermeil’s flame element attacks.

Out of the eight remaining members of the Zodiac, she was the only one with enough energy to talk.

“Marina? Yes, I do. You should’ve seen how powerful it was… It’s a weapon that fits me better than him.”

Agor glanced back slightly but quickly returned to gazing toward where the god tamers were. His eyes turned sharp as he was thinking of ways to snatch the gun without the god-tamers stopping him.

“First, I need to separate them. After that, I can go and seize it away directly.”

A plan came to his mind as he gave a sinister sneer.

“Just wait, Zeshion. As soon as I get that weapon, you’ll be the first one to taste its power!”

After saying that, he turned around and opened a black portal. Then he threw the rest of the Zodiacs into it before coming inside. Marina glanced behind her one last time, her eyes turning sharp.

“Will, huh…”

A moment later, she turned toward the black portal and vanished. Not a trace of the group was left.

A few hours later, the succubus army completely obliterated the red fog. Nothing of it remained anymore.

During that time, I and the god tamers all recovered enough to be able to move. The only problem was still Ajax, whose injury refused to heal even after Goddess Blanc focused on it.

“I need to take him to the cathedral for treatment. Vermeil, Grandpa Zeshion, I’ll take my leave.”

Seeing that Ajax wasn’t healing, she took him to the cathedral, where more healing tools and implements could be used. After she said so, she opened a gate in space and entered, leaving the battlefield in an instant.

“Then I’ll go too. I left my post for too long already,”

Vermeil muttered as she scratched her head. As a member of the Luo family, she was in charge of most of the eastern side. Now that everything has calmed down here, it is time for her to return to guarding the border.

“Zeta, tell Zeshion that.”

She reminded Zeta before flying into the sky and turning into a meteor, flying at impossible speeds in the northeast direction.

“…”

Zeta just stared at her as she vanished but didn’t mutter a single thing. Her face was covered with worry for Zeshion, who had yet to recover consciousness.

“It’s just energy depletion, so he should wake up anytime soon.”

However, as if she couldn’t hear my words, she just kept on patting Zeshion’s head, which was lying above her thick thighs. I would probably be jealous of such treatment if not for Ember doing the exact same thing for me.

I looked over the ten thousand servant succubuses that got added to my responsibility list and sighed. “How would I manage this many?” I scratched my head in irritation.

Zeshion should have a hand in this situation too. When he wakes up, I’ll drag him in to think of a way to handle this.

“Anyways, Fina, how are you feeling? Any problems?”

I asked out of worry. Fina was a human tamer just a few hours earlier, but now she is a full-fledged succubus, a monster. To my question, Fina just shook her head slowly.

“Other than losing my tamed monsters, nothing much happened.”

She said it with a smile. However, I felt sorry for her loss, despite not letting it show on her face. I can’t say I know the pain of losing her long-time friend and tamed beast, but I can’t even imagine the anguish I’ll feel if Ember or any of the girls vanish from my side.

Probably reading what I was thinking, Fina came to my side and knelt down, patting my head along with Ember.

“Don’t worry. It’s not your fault. I’m not blaming you.”

She spoke like a mother, chiding her child gently.

“If you really feel bad about it, then you can contract them for me. Those two kids are quite tame, and they are only at the 4th level, so it should be easy for you.”
