Chapter 166 Ten Thousand Versus One (1)
A familiar gray world where nothing was moving.
However, I have no time to spend gawking around. I quickly took a step forward, heading for the first tamer.
‘This may end up injuring them, but Goddess Blanc should be able to heal them.’
I thought as I reached a hand to her chest. I could go for the head instead, but if I made a mistake with holding back, their necks would break easily. Instead, I chose their chests, as not only would it give me more bonus, but it would also lessen the risks.
As soon as I passed by, I grabbed her chest and initiated the contracting process. With how fast my mind was running right now, it only took an instant, even in an accelerated world. The interference from their innate properties couldn’t even work here.
I moved on to the next, and the next, and the next.
One after another, I molested them—ahem, I helped them get out of the mind control—and added them to my contracted servants.
I ran in a complicated pattern, making sure that I took the shortest route I could for the task. However, even with that, I was already running out of momentum before reaching the last one.
After making sure that I touched everyone, I was already back at my previous location. As soon as I did, I fell to the ground, and time seemed to start to move once more.
A blast of wind, followed by the ground exploding on several points, and the 10,000 tamers flying backward after getting hit on the chest. Their bodies glowed in bright white light while in the air, signifying the successful contract.
“G-God…”
I tried to speak, but the backlash from the skill was too severe. My skin was all burned off, and I was practically naked to the bones. Even Ember’s slime suit was completely burned away; not a trace of it remained.
However, probably due to my increased mental capacity, I was able to stay awake. And funny enough, I don’t feel any pain. I guess too much damage would turn off your pain receptors instead.
“Don’t speak anymore!”
God Zeshion quickly knelt by my side and waved his hand. As soon as he did, my body recovered, like watching a movie in reverse. My entire body was regenerated, but my clothes didn’t return.
I quickly took a spare robe from the storage ring and covered myself. After that, I grabbed a complete set of clothes and quickly wore them under the loose robe. With ten thousand pairs of eyes around, I wouldn’t want to walk with my thing hanging around.
Soon, the ten thousand tamers regained consciousness and seemed confused about the situation. However, Goddess Blanc quickly sent a powerful healing wave around. It wasn’t enough to heal God Tamers like Zeshion and the others, but it was able to completely recover everyone else. .𝚌o𝚖
Seeing the confused faces of everyone, God Zeshion flew up in the air and raised his voice, squeezing what little energy he had left.
“Everyone! This is an emergency situation! I’ll personally explain everything later, but first, we need to fight a powerful monster!”
After hearing his words, as expected of tamers above the 6th level, they quickly realized the gravity of the situation. They quickly stood in attention, forming ranks and groups with those around them. Soon, the ten thousand tamers formed hundreds of smaller cells with about 8 to 16 tamers in each.
Right at that moment, a sinister wave of energy swept throughout the field. Everyone felt goosebumps and shivered as they felt the cold anger enveloping the passing energy.
Looking to the far end of the battlefield, the Succubus Lord flew slowly. Her face was already back to normal, but a trace of blue blood was still dripping down her nose.
[Pesky humans… Liars and backstabbers…]
Her words were emotionless, but a burning rage radiated around her figure. The voice echoing inside our heads was becoming more powerful, causing extreme headaches and nausea.
[You sealed me for thousands of years, and now you dare snatch my children away from me…?]
“…!”
For some reason, I had a dangerous feeling about the situation. The others were probably the same, as they had on an urgent expression while looking at the far-off figure of the Succubus Lord.
Without any warning, something approached us with blinding speed. It was a thick red fog, covering everything on the ground up to the horizon.
“Everyone, be careful!”
Goddess Blanc shouted as she made another golden barrier, but instead of a dome, she minimized the volume of a dome into a rectangular prism, just enough to cover everyone around.
The red fog, after getting into contact with the barrier, let off sizzling sounds. Everyone felt fear after seeing how the fog melted the barrier like acid, but Goddess Blanc kept on layering barriers to protect everyone.
As I was wondering what in the world the red fog was, I noticed something. The red fog didn’t have the energy pattern of a skill, static and unchanging, but rather that of a living creature, with the energy circulating.
“Everyone! Attack the fog! It’s a living creature!”
I didn’t explain in detail, but the girls quickly did as I told them. I guess it was thanks to the contract, as every single one of them moved at the same time.
A wave of attacks swept around the barrier, clearing away a large part of the fog. However, it was quickly replaced by more fog coming from further away.
“Keep on clearing the fog!”
I ordered as I moved to the large artillery, which finally cooled down enough to be touchable and morphed its form back to the rifle. I grabbed a couple of magazines from the storage ring, each one possessing different ratios of energy. The first one I tried was the one with more fire energy inside.
I loaded it on the rifle, cocked the lever, and aimed at the ground about a kilometer away as I lay prone. The bullet flew and landed at the aimed location, releasing the excessive energy packed into the shell. A wild blaze spread, clearing a large area of the red fog.
