Talent Swallowing Hero

130 Beastnet and its rulers

Leo was ready to fight hundreds of rank 9 water spiders; however, what he feared was the ‘Mother of the Water Spiders’.

Even with his title [Supreme Killer], Leo still felt slightly afraid when he heard the ‘Mother of the Water Spiders’ angry voice. From this, he was sure that the entity had higher strength than level 5 Supreme Beast.

Therefore, he didn’t even bother to devour the rank 9 water spiders he killed earlier and hurriedly flew away from the incoming water spiders.

“Human, you can’t escape after killing one of us.”

There were huge-black rocks everywhere in the ‘Abandoned Sea’ region, and these rocks were the dens of the water spiders.

So, no matter which direction Leo was flying, he met a group of rank 9 water spiders.

[Freeze web]

[Poison Spit]

[Water blast]

Of course, they were not rushed out of their shelters to say hello to Leo as they used their talents and skills at Leo.

“Idiot. Don’t use [Poison Spit], you might accidentally kill the Heir.”-.

“I forget. I will not use it.”

“It is better to catch both of them alive and if things become worse, you might kill the human; however, we can’t afford to kill the Heir.”

They didn’t care much about human; however, they didn’t want anything to happen to the Lion Cub because they had other plans for it.

[Wyvern Claw]

Nevertheless, Leo didn’t hold back his strength as he killed the rank 9 water spiders without hesitation.

“Why can’t they afford to kill you?”

While dodging the incoming attacks of the water spiders, Leo asked the lion cub in his hands about the worry of the water spiders.

“Of course, no one can afford to kill me unless they want to face my father’s fury.”

The lion cub was proud when it talked about its father.

“Huh? How strong is he?”

Since his goal in entering this world was to learn how powerful the beasts are, Leo asked about the strength of the cub’s father.

“If you tell me your strength, I will answer your question.”

The lion cub chuckled in its heart and thought, ‘Now, I can find your strength.’

“Looks like you are asking me to leave you here. Okay them.”

However, Leo didn’t bother to answer the cub; instead, he flew towards a huge black rock where more than five rank 9 water spiders were spitting webs at them.

“No…no…no. I will not ask you any questions.”

Seeing that Leo was planning to leave it on the black rock, the cub became anxious and hurriedly answered, “My father is a level 8 Supreme Beast Hero and one of the four strongest beasts in this world.”

“Huh? Supreme Beast Hero?”

When he killed a supreme-ranked monster, Leo learned the levels in the Supreme rank, starting from level 1 to level 9.

However, he didn’t understand why the lion cub used ‘Hero’ when informing him about his father’s strength.

“Yes. Even though that ‘Hero rank system’ is used by the humans, the four beast races created a Beast Hero rank system similar to your humans.”

The cub heaved a sigh of relief when it saw Leo kill those rank 9 water spiders and flew away from the huge black-coloured rock as it explained the power system of their world Beastnet.

‘Oh.’

Leo nodded and asked, “Tell me about this world.”

As they flew, Leo sensed that the water spider dens became fewer and fewer. Hence, he asked the cub to explain about the world.

“Four races rule Beastnet. They are,

The first one is ‘The Abandoned Sea’ is ruled by the water spiders, and their leader is ‘Mother of the water spiders’ that angrily shouted at us a few minutes ago.

The second one is ‘The Emberfields’ , which is ruled by my father, the Flaming Lion King.

The third region is called ‘The Evergreen Grasslands’, ruled by Terra Bull Tyrant, and the last region is called ‘The Zephyr Mountains’, ruled by the Zephyr Gaint Eagle.”

Even though what the lion cub said was also basic information about the world, it was more detailed than the information provided by the system.

“The fifth region that was at the center of this world is the wilderness where the wild monsters from other worlds live. Among those wild monsters, humans were one of them. After you safely bring me back to my father, I will make sure you find your family in the vast wilderness.”

The cub acted generously and promised to help Leo reunite with his family.

“Let’s talk about it after I bring you back.”

However, Leo didn’t have any family in this world. Hence, he didn’t care much about it; instead, he didn’t understand something and asked the cub, “If your father is so powerful, then how did they kidnap you in the first place?”

“…”

The lion cub remained silent for a moment when it heard Leo’s question; however, it answered, “Among the four beast races, there is an ironclad rule that no young beasts are allowed to go into the wilderness until they become rank 9 beast.”

“From the moment we are born, all kinds of natural resources will be provided at our doorsteps depending on our potential. Since I am bound to become the heir of the Flaming Lion Race and also the son of the current race leader, I was given extra care and protection which made me suffocate.”

“One day, my uncle helped me enter the wilderness; however, I am very unlucky to encounter a horde of rank 9 Terra Bulls. Nevertheless, because of my [Divine Sense], I was able to avoid them only to fall into the hands of the Water Spiders.”

The lion cub explained how the little cub ended up in the cage.

“What about you, human? How did you end up in the cage?”

As soon as it asked the question, the cub remembered something and hurriedly said, “There is no need for you to answer it. I forgot you dislike answering those questions.”

‘Puchi’

Suddenly, a dozen sharp needles rushed at Leo and even though Leo blocked with his wyvern wings, one needle pierced Leo’s shoulder.

‘Splash’

In the next second, Leo started losing balance as he fell into the sea.

“Human, the wild monsters I caught never escaped from grasp…keke.”

A huge water spider swam towards Leo from a distance with an eerie chuckle.
