With a guttural roar, he followed her over the edge, his own release pumping into her in hot, pulsing waves. He held her tightly, his body shuddering against hers, their sweat-slicked skin sliding together.

For a long moment, they stayed like that, panting, entangled, the only sound their ragged breaths and the gentle whisper of the wind through the branches.

Slowly, gently, he lowered her until her feet touched the soft ground, though her legs felt like water.

He didn’t pull away, keeping her pinned between his body and the tree, his forehead resting against hers. His softened cock was still nestled inside her, a warm, intimate connection.

He brushed a sweaty strand of hair from her face, his touch unexpectedly tender.

A slow, wicked grin spread across his face.

He raised his hand over her back, with a hint of faint pale blue light; the scratches on her back all but disappeared as he healed her wounds with his magic touch. "How do you feel, Momma?" he whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of relief and desire.

Her eyes fluttered open, meeting his gaze with a mix of gratitude and awe.

She could feel the healing energy pulsing through her body, a sensation unlike anything she had ever experienced before. The pale light was cold against her skin, yet oddly soothing.

With a smile, she whispered back, "I feel like I could take on the world with you by my side."

Meanwhile, miles away in a place where reality wore thin and the boundaries between worlds grew permeable, three figures emerged from a swirling portal onto ground that remembered older, darker times.

The ruins of the forest rose around them like the broken teeth of some ancient beast, stones blackened by fires that had burned with more than mere flame, walls carved with protective symbols that had ultimately proven insufficient against the darkness they had been meant to repel.

Angelina stood waiting for them in the center of what had once been the keep’s great hall, her black hair streaked with silver hair whipping in winds that blew from no worldly quarter.

Even at her advanced age, she commanded the space around her like a queen holding court, her robes captured starlight glowing with power that pushed back against the encroaching shadows.

"Angelina," Eradarin called as they approached.

"We came as soon as we received your message."

Her eyes with a sharp gaze fixed on each of them in turn. "We may have a problem, Eradarin. A significant one."

"What has happened?" the sage asked, his own considerable power already reaching out to probe their surroundings, feeling for the disturbance that had called them from the comfortable warmth of hearth and home.

Without a word, Angelina turned and led them deeper into the ruins, past broken statues of heroes whose names had been lost to time and through archways that still hummed with the residual energy of long-faded protective spells.

They descended stairs carved directly into living rock, following a path that led to the very heart of the ancient fortress.

The chamber they entered had clearly been built for ritual purposes—a circular space dominated by seven massive pillars arranged in a perfect heptagon around a raised dais of white stone. Each pillar was covered in carved runes that seemed to writhe and shift in the flickering light, their meaning just beyond the edge of comprehension.

But it was what lay in the center of the circle that drew every eye and sent chills racing down spines that had faced countless terrors over the centuries.

The air above the dais rippled and twisted like water disturbed by an unseen hand, reality bending and folding at different angles.

Through the distortion, glimpses of something else could be seen—a place of eternal darkness where black figures moved with malevolent purpose and the very concept of hope had never taken root.

"A spatial rift?" Eradarin breathed, his ancient knowledge allowing him to recognize the phenomenon even as his mind recoiled from its implications.

"Similar," Angelina said grimly, her knuckles white where they gripped her staff.

"But this is like a tear, as if something has been clawing at the boundaries between worlds from the other side. And it has opened a pathway to the Abyssal Lokas."

The words fell into the chamber like stones dropped into still water, their implications rippling outward in waves of horror that touched each member of the group.

Bruna’s wolf nature howled in instinctive terror at the wrongness emanating from the rift, while Ironshade’s warrior instincts screamed warnings that had nothing to do with worldly threats and everything to do with enemies that existed beyond the normal definitions of life and death.

The Abyssal Lokas—the nightmare realm where evil itself had taken on physical form, where creatures of pure malevolence waited in eternal hunger for any chance to spill into worlds where light still held meaning. They were the spaces between lokas, the darkness that existed not as the absence of light but as its active enemy, realms where even the concepts of mercy and redemption were alien intrusions to be destroyed on sight.

"How long?" Eradarin asked, his voice steady despite the magnitude of what they faced.

"It began opening three days ago," Angelina replied, her eyes never leaving the writhing distortion above the dais.

"At first, I thought it might seal itself—sometimes these rifts are temporary, and I’m sure this was caused by that chaos temple. It’s been growing stronger. I can feel things pressing against it from the other side, testing its boundaries."

"Things?" Bruna’s voice came out rougher than usual, her human vocal cords struggling to form words while her wolf nature urged her to flee as far and fast as possible from this wrongness.

"Creatures that should never be allowed to breathe air that has known sunlight," Angelina said simply.

"Entities of pure malice that exist only to corrupt and destroy everything they touch. If this rift widens enough to allow them passage..."
