Kylith breathed heavily, her chest rising and falling in a ragged rhythm beneath the room's dim glow. A soft, broken whimper escaped her lips.

"I've never tasted something that good..." Her slender fingers traced lazy patterns across his bare, sweat-slicked chest. "You're like a wild beast." The words were a breathless reverence, a total surrender to an experience she had never known.

Searanox kissed her softly, the gentleness a stark contrast to his earlier brutal force. His lips brushed against hers, lingering briefly before he pulled away to wipe a stray tear from her cheek with his thumb. "If you are a good girl, I'll be gentle with you next time." His voice was a low rumble that vibrated against her chest—a promise that doubled as a threat.

She rolled against him, the feeling still fresh in her mind. The potency of his energy continued to pulse within her, a faint drool forming on her lips as she felt him stir. Her arms wrapped around him, her nails digging into his back to draw shallow crescents in his skin. "You promise?" The question was a desperate plea, her amber eyes wide with a mixture of fear and anticipation.

"Little one, I have a weak spot for beautiful things." He gently brushed over her exposed body, his touch possessive yet strangely tender. "If I keep you here, you spread your pretty legs only for me." It was a casual declaration of ownership, spoken as if discussing the placement of furniture rather than the future of a sentient being.

She dug her fingers deeper into him, the brief flare of pain a small defiance against his dominance. "I'm not a child. Stop calling me little one." Her voice had regained some strength, though it still trembled slightly.

"Shhh~ You rest and think about it." He silenced her with another soft kiss, his tongue tracing the curve of her lips. "Before I go, I have a final question for you, my dear."

She nodded eagerly, her small horns poking his skin as she buried herself deeper against him, her body still seeking contact.

"Kandora is a noble, isn't she? What would be the worst that could happen to someone like her?" he asked in a soft tone. The sudden shift from intimacy to clinical inquiry made her shudder.

Her thighs pressed against him as her hips buckled upward. "A noble is proud. Strip her of it, and she will do as you say," she whispered into his ear, pulling him deeper into herself, her breath hot against his neck. The words were both advice and warning, spoken from an intimate knowledge of the empire's hierarchy, where honor was everything.

"You're an adorable little thing, when you aren't behaving like a whore," he said as he pulled away. The insult was delivered with the same casual indifference as everything else. "Thanks for answering my question." He stood and began to clothe himself.

The moment they separated, she rolled onto her side, the sheets clinging to her sweat-slicked skin like a second membrane. Her eyes closed slowly as she pulled a pillow against her chest, her fingers curling into the fabric for comfort. Searanox pulled the blanket over her slim frame, the cotton settling around her curves.

"Sleep well," he murmured.

He exited the room and walked toward the quarters Iris had prepared for the others. The first room was empty, the bed untouched, the air still. The next was similarly deserted—a stark contrast to the muffled sounds from the chamber he had just left. At the third room, he found all six purebloods huddled together, their massive frames crowding the small space like oversized furniture. The air was thick with the scent of roasted meat and fear, the remnants of their meal scattered across the table.

"A bit cramped, isn't it?" he asked, his gaze sweeping over the group without really seeing them. "Kandora, a word." He gestured for her to step outside, his movements fluid, showing no sign of lingering exhaustion.

They all stopped eating and looked at Kandora, then back at Searanox. He stood in the open doorway, barely covered. His bare chest gleamed in the violet light, the faint marks of Kylith's nails visible as dark crescents against his pale skin. The contrast between his casual demeanor and their tense postures was jarring.

"I will not—" she began loudly, but Searanox cut off her defiance.

"You can step out, or we will be doing it in here, in front of them." The casual threat made the air in the room freeze. His eyes narrowed slightly, a subtle shift that made Kandora's defiance crumble like sand.

Vindala dropped the meat in her hand, her eyes going wide before darting toward Kandora. The wet slap of the meat hitting the plate was obscene in the sudden silence.

"Fine." Kandora pushed past the others and made her way toward the door. Her movements were deliberate, each step a small act of rebellion. The other captives watched her go with a mixture of pity and relief that they weren't the ones being summoned.

As she stepped close enough, he seized her wrist and pulled her through the doorway, his grip firm and unyielding. The door clicked shut behind them, sealing them in the corridor and cutting off the terrified faces of her companions.

"Follow me, Kandora." His voice was entirely neutral, devoid of warmth or threat, as if their interaction was nothing more than a business transaction.

She stared at the back of his retreating form, his muscular shoulders gleaming under the violet light. His steps were steady and confident, while hers faltered and dragged, leaving faint scuff marks on the polished marble floor.

Her mind spun. A chaotic whirlwind of possibilities she had tried to dismiss while eating surged back with terrifying clarity. Each imagined horror crashed against her consciousness, filling her with a fear so profound it made her limbs feel like lead. The corridor stretched before them, its violet conduits pulsing in time with the frantic rhythm of her heart.

The air grew colder. She tried to focus on the sound of their footsteps, but the uneven rhythm only emphasized the vast gulf between their positions.

He opened a door at the far end of the corridor. The room beyond was like the others. "Please, step inside." His calm, emotionless voice made the request more terrifying than any angry command.

She looked at him—truly looked at him for the first time since leaving her companions. There was no hesitation in his eyes. No fear of noble retaliation. No trace of someone bargaining for survival. He spoke as though the Empire itself were beneath his notice. The weight of her noble upbringing pressed down on her shoulders. All those lessons in dignity and pride now felt like stones dragging her to the bottom of a deep sea.

She stepped inside. The air in the room felt different, heavy. Tears pricked her eyes, and she fought to contain them. "You... You can't. I'm a noble." Her voice trembled. It was a desperate attempt to summon the authority that had always protected her, but it rang hollow in this new reality.

Searanox leaned in so close she could feel the warmth of his breath against her ear. She flinched at the intimacy. "You are nothing," he whispered, low and dangerous, confirming her worst fears. "If you behave yourself, I won't strip you bare and bind you down on a plaza for everyone to use."

The imagery flooded her mind with such intensity she felt dizzy. The scent of him filled her senses as the world tilted and spun.

She stared at him, her eyes wide with a terror that reached into the deepest parts of her soul. "My father will kill you for this." The words emerged as a reflex, a desperate cling to the last remnants of her identity, even as she knew how useless they were.

"Empty threats." The smile that spread across his face showed teeth but held no warmth or humor. It sent a chill down her spine. "You will give me everything you have on you," he said, his eyes glinting with a light that tied her stomach into knots.

She gasped as if struck, the air rushing from her lungs. Hot, salty tears streamed down her face. Her fingers trembled uncontrollably as she fumbled with the ring on her finger. The familiar jewelry now felt foreign, cold, and heavy against her sweating skin—a final tether to a life crumbling into dust with every passing second.

Feeling the intricate carvings on its surface, she whispered, "Please." It was a desperate plea from a woman who had never known true desperation until this exact moment.

"And Kandora," he added, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper as he leaned closer, the shadows deepening around them. "If the ring is empty... I will have you bear multiple half-breeds to your family tree."

The threat hung between them, striking at the very core of her identity and the legacy she had been raised to protect. It was more horrifying than any physical violence could ever be.
