"Haa… Ha…" Anna panted heavily. She had completely overexerted herself. "Kh."

"Are you alright?" The original Anna asked.

"Yeah, barely." Anna was using the remaining power to stop her own bleeding.

So, there was no telling whether they had defeated the Supreme Devil or not unless they made sure the body was gone.

"Ah." The original Anna almost forgot about him. Laufey had indeed stopped two ancient demons by himself.

The original plan was for him to stop them until the airships arrived. This way, he could take the lead and take down both ancient demons.

The original Anna fell silent. Although she wasn't the one who wedded Noel, both of them were the same. So, she also had some attachment to Laufey.

Laufey was someone who Noel had brought back from imminent death. There were still a lot of things expected of him.

That was why she wanted to know Laufey's condition as well. If he still hadn't finished his fight, she would help him with the last bit of energy she had left.

Still, when they arrived at the battlefield where Laufey was supposed to be, they found destruction everywhere.

They had seen countless demon corpses across the battlefield. All the demons in the area seemed to have died.

"Isn't this good?" The original Anna asked. "I see no airships right now. They must have done their parts and headed elsewhere, right?"

Anna narrowed her eyes. "I still sense one threat in this entire area. It's weak, but I can still feel it."

"!!!" The original Anna checked again. As she said, there was a threat. Their extraordinary instinct was what allowed them to achieve all this.

So, they knew there was one more living being among these corpses.

It might be a demon that almost died or it might just be a low-level demon that didn't pose any threat to her.

"…" Anna's eyes were filled with horror.

There was a man sitting on the ground with his back leaning on the big body of a demon corpse.

The man was covered in blood.

His left eye was gone, along with his entire left arm. It looked like he was severely injured on the left side of his body.

The man seemed to have noticed her presence. He opened his right eye weakly before smiling. "Anna… I'm glad… that you… are alright…"

"Uncle!" Anna panicked. "Don't speak anymore. Let me treat you right now!"

"I know… my condition…" Laufey smiled. "I ended… up using… the same technique… to confuse… the demons…"

"Stop talking." Anna gritted her teeth while channeling her energy.

"I guess… being an enemy… allowed me… to kill… all these demons… At least… I didn't… disappoint you… or my nephew…"

He was talking about the technique that allowed the Supreme Devil Organization to blend in among the demons. He was using the technique to somehow kill two ancient demons and the rest of these demons. But as expected, it was not a fair fight, considering Laufey was a spirit transcendence who had become one not too long ago.

"Uncle…" Anna gritted her teeth. She didn't have any specialty as a doctor. If Noel were here, he could use the Force Control to stabilize his condition. Even if he couldn't wield his power anymore, he could still keep his life.

But with her expertise, there was no way to save him.

"Don't speak. I will take you somewhere to treat you!" Anna bit her lip. Rather than crying, she should do whatever she could. There was still one more chance. Their army should still not be too far from here.

Anna refused to give up. "I'm not going to let Noel lose his uncle twice!"
